Matt is the Master when it comes to knowing his product. So helpful !!! If anyone is in the market to buy a corvette then he is the one to call. I would not trust such an important purchase to anyone or any company. When you know more about the car then the person who is trying to sell you one is never a good experience. Matt knows everything from specs to how to advise you how to spec out a car if you need some help and hand holding. Thanks Matt !!!!

We recently purchased a new Chevy Malibu from Van Bortel Chevrolet. About four weeks ago we began looking for a replacement vehicle for our 2008 Chevy Impala. Originally we were looking for a used 2014-2017 Chevy Impala. They had a couple of used Impalas to look at. Overall my research had shown their weren't to many available. The salesperson showed us some of their 2017 Chevy Malibus and Cruz demos that were low mileage and at a reasonable price. We decided to come back at another time to test drive them. When I went to visit the dealership this past week, the salesperson explained they had both used and new 2017 Malibu's. He went on to say that this week GM was offering a 20% rebate and Van Bortel was offering an additional 5% off a new vehicle. I told him the color we were looking for and the options I was interested in and he offered to bring one up to test drive. I drove it for several miles and was very impressed with the car. I asked the sales person if he could give a quotation based on trading in our vehicle. He immediately went to work and produced a complete quote that included everything from trade in, rebates, tax, registration and including the points I had earned when having our car serviced at their dealership. I was extremely pleased with the quotation and told him I would discuss it with my wife and get back with him in a couple of days. At no time did the salesperson say this offer was only good for this day. We came to Van Bortel's the next day, my wife drove the vehicle and was pleased. We then signed the paperwork and picked up the car at our time and convenience. What a highly professional organization. I would highly recommend Van Bortel's to others.

Matthew Farnes was an absolutely wonderful salesman! He did a phenomenal job explaining all the technology of the car (I'm technologically inept, and he explained things wonderfully). He took his time and was very thorough. Van Bortel Chevrolet says there's nothing they won't do, and that is true. They did an excellent job helping to get me financed, get me a wonderful car, and to ensure that I was happy with the purchase. Everyone at the dealership is friendly and professional. I highly recommend Matthew Farnes, and everyone at Van Bortel Chevrolet!

Where do I start with Van Bortel Chevy in Macedon...after having to go in about 8 times in 2 months over the summer for issues with my car I decided not to let that effect anything. I went over a month without AC in my car during the hottest months on record because you were waiting for a part and the only offer I got to remedy that was come in once a week until the part comes in to fill up the Freon in your car. Not only is that terribly inconvenient, but extremely bad for the environment. My husband decided to shop for a new truck recently and had one all picked out. When we left the dealership after getting a quote, the very next day the finance guy called with a price almost $150 more than what we thought it would be for a 2 year old truck. Then the day after that the finance guy decided it was ok to lecture me on my credit rating and the # of inquiries I had on it. Turns out, he mixed me up with another person of the same name (really professional). In addition to that every time I talked someone from Van Bortel, the interest rate and monthly payment went down. We went from 6.85 to 3 in a matter of days. Then I go in to get my oil changed and couldn't be left alone because people kept coming up to me with new and improved rates and monthly payments. I find it very shady the actions of Van Bortel in the past 2 weeks. I have very decent credit so there is no reason for a 6.85% interest rate on a 2 year old truck. We ended going with Peake in Sodus because our interest is 3% on a brand new truck. I will never set foot in Van Bortel or do business with you dealership again. You have great customer service but shady business practices.

Recently bought a 2012 Corvette from this dealership. When I learned they had used Corvettes for sale, I drove down there to look at a couple that seemed to fit my wants. Expecting to see 2 or 3 Corvettes, I was shocked when I walked into their showroom and saw approximately 55 Corvettes ranging from the 1960's to 2015, arranged by year. When I started to look around, no one came over to question me regarding what I was looking for. Instead, I was free to browse at my leisure until I found one that appealed to me. I spoke to one of the salespeople and they gave me a good rundown on the car and asked if I wanted to test drive it. I did and they asked if I wanted to drive it alone or did I want him to ride with me. I took that car out and four or five more. Finally selected the vehicle I wanted and they asked what I would be willing to pay. I gave them my figure and we closed the deal. At that time, they asked me my name; up till then, they never even asked who I was. That was great!!! No pressure whatsoever, no haggling, no running around and game playing. The car I purchased came with a 90 day warranty. My intent was to drive it for about two weeks then store it for the winter. When I told the salesperson, he said to call them when I put the car away and they would credit me the balance of the warranty time when I took the car out in the spring. Best transaction and dealership in my 55+ years of car buying. This review is for the Sales crew only; have not yet had occasion to deal with the Service department. Lastly, the young lady who answers the phone, I think her name is Jennifer, is very pleasant and has outstanding customer service skills.

I experienced a great time at Van Bortel Corvette show room, the sales people were great. I dealt with Matt and he was very informative, patient and willing to keep me abreast of what had to happen to get the sale done. After driving 3 different year cars I decided on the 2014. It was all set to pick up in a few days and the detail people had the car looking like new. Matt spent a few hours going over all of the options in the 2014 model, it was great. I would go back for another Corvette in a heart beat......thanks Kitty for having these guys at your establishment. Ken H.

We drove 1.5 hours to this dealership to test drive a used car that we had found online. The car was exactly what we wanted, and the price was better than comparable cars elsewhere, so we were sold. Everyone we interacted with was helpful, professional, and straightforward, so the whole experience was very pleasant. We couldn't drive the car home that day because our registration couldn't be transferred that weekend. Since we didn't have another car to drive, we thought we would need to rent a car and drive 1.5 hours again to pick up the new car. However, the dealership very kindly had a driver pick us up after work and bring us to the dealership. This saved us the hassle of renting a car and meant that my husband and I were able to drive the new car home together. The icing on the cake was that the gentleman who drove us was a fantastic conversationalist who made the 1.5 hour drive go quickly.

Best buying experience from beginning to end at Van Bortel Chevrolet! We got the truck we wanted at the terms we wanted and left the dealership that afternoon in our new Colorado; inspection, registration, insurance, trade-in, military discount (get authorization ahead of time at Chevy website), $500 Black Friday discount, financing, all done. The staff worked cooperatively and efficiently while maintaining a comfortable and welcoming feeling inside their office. We worked directly with both Ruth and Chuck; who explained all terms thoroughly, with no pressure and an obvious commitment to customer service. I can highly recommend Van Bortel Chevrolet for making the buying experience so easy and comfortable from the customer's point of view.

I drove from Rush NY to Macedon NY to visit the new Van Bortel Corvette Store. I worked with Jon and Matt and had a great "no pressure" purchasing experience. They are knowledgeable, friendly and patient. They allow you to touch, sit in, question and drive any car in their inventory. I've known about Van Bortel (whatever) for 38 years. Never heard anybody speak negatively about Kitty or her Father. Decided to see for myself. Talked with Dave Wilson by phone at length. After gently sounding me out, he suggested a Chevy two years newer than my prospect, equal miles, similar price and more goodies. When we arrived, Dave showed us both cars to choose. Financing was a breeze. Ruth Perrin was very capable with the stack of legal papers we had to sign...even drove several miles out of her way to sign one we missed. Kitty talked with us at closing and is a sweetheart. I'll go to her first the next time. Saved a big bundle of bucks at her store.

Just bought a 2008 c6 Corvette at Van Bortel Chevrolet. Nate and Matt were extremely helpful and a wealth of information. The indoor Corvette showroom ( around 40 new and pre owned Corvettes) was great and Van Bortel will store my car there until spring. Warranty will start when I pick up the car. This was a great experience !. Great car, price and customer service!

When we finally decided it was time to invest in a new car that better suited our needs, we contacted Van Bortel. We contacted the dealership and the salesman, Joe Vinci, could not have been better. It was the first time we leased a vehicle and he was so helpful, thorough and patient with us, explaining just how leasing works. We decided to lease a 2015 Equinox. Everything went smoothly from the test drive to the final signing of the paperwork with Brian. I'm happy we went to Van Bortel.
