Volt rebate Scam

by voltscam on 03/26/2018

Told me multiple times that I would receive Tax rebate when I filed my state income Tax. You actually get it when you buy the car. When they were negotiating they had it under other discounts. When I signed final paper work it said NY state rebate. I found the issue when I did my taxes.

The customer comes first

by 2017Impala on 04/01/2017

I’ve purchased five new vehicles from Hoselton Chevrolet in a seven year period. I’ve dealt with numerous salesmen, each individual made you feel welcome, they truly cared about you the customer, from sales to service and that's a good thing. Anytime, I needed assistance no matter what it was, from parts, painting, body shop to service they’ve exceeded my expectations. This is a credit to the Management team, they provide a red carpet experience when you first walk in to the time you exit their establishment. My hat goes off to all I have befriended throughout the years; no matter where they go in their lives they will remain my friends.

Impeccable customer service.

by Avorndran on 01/12/2017

I recently purchased a new 2016 Silverado from Zach Smith at Hoselton Chevrolet, the sales process was seamless and he was very professional. The vehicle was purchased right before the holidays and he made sure that everything was done so that it could be delivered right after Christmas weekend. A small issue arose after taking delivery of the vehicle and the sales team as well as customer relations and other management were there to handle the situation in a very professional manner. I am a repeat customer because I feel that Hoselton, not only Chevrolet, but all of their stores have a great customer service model and always put the customer first. They have earned my business for life.

We liked Hoselton Chevrolet

by maxlent on 04/24/2016

We wanted to lease a 2017 Chevrolet Volt and contacted all of the local dealers listed here. Hoselton was the only dealer who provided us with an online quote. We researched the incentives on Edmunds.com and found numerous incentives that enabled us to afford the car. Our salesperson, Thomas Phommanirat, was wonderful to work with. He was courteous, thoughtful, truthful, and fun. Because he drives a Volt he was able to answer the hundreds of questions we had. We were able to turn in our leased Prius and pick up our Volt with ease. Highly recommended.

Not a bad experience

by cassb on 09/23/2015

We just bought a 09 Camry Hybrid and our salesman was Josh Ramos. He was very nice and had or found the answers to our questions without being overbearing. The trick to buying a used car is 1) being confident in knowing what you want, the fair value, and why (doing your research), and 2) finding the right salesperson who will listen and help you without forcing a sale. If you don't like the one you were assigned, ask for another or walk out. After researching all 09 Camry Hybrids across the country currently for sale, I feel like we got a fair price from Hoselton, given some of the minor condition issues I found with the car when I inspected it. I had to fight a bit for the price I thought was fair, but we came to an agreement and the deal went through. I'll take possession of the car in a couple days and update this if I find anything different from my opinion above.

Bad sales tactics most places stay away from now

by reviewer28 on 06/19/2015

Jun 18 at 2:31 PM Looking at a used car for my daughter was a terrible experience, something I would have avoided had I known how that business has degraded from once being respectable when under the ownership of its namesake. On mentioning this poor experience to some other people, I heard similar stories - one woman had purchased 3 Camrys in the past but said she would not go back after the last experience. After being passed around by the salespeople after they realized we were not there to purchase a new vehicle (hey my other daughter has a lease there, doesn't that count...), I was instructed the salesman that I couldn't afford to buy anything at Hoselton and he proceeded to show me all about it on Bankrate.com. What a joke!! I said OK and walked out but then the old trick - he followed me to my car and guess what? Now he could find something for me!! Are you kidding?? No thanks and I won't be back. Purchased 2 vehicles at a nearby dealership this year and there is no comparison to the shoddy presentation at Hoselton.

Terrible Dealers, Out for themselves and not the customer

by caren5376 on 04/11/2014

I bought a used Chevrolet Traverse from them 7 months ago. Their dealer scammed me into making much higher payments than I could afford. He also took a car that another dealer was claiming to sell and sold it to us. He argued in front of us about this issue which was very unprofessional. Even after we expressed concern over how much the car payment was the dealer convinced us that we had the income to afford we just had to " want it bad enough " ! He convinced us that a 25 % interest rate and a car payment that was close to a rent payment was the only way to improve our credit. We came out of this experience with $8000 in negative equity. No respect for big name car dealers and a worse credit score than we had before we ever stepped foot in their dealership! We have been back to them 5 times to try to resolve this issue and their latest advice was to go ahead with the volutary repo that we are considering and when we buy a "beater car" they would be happy to help with any repairs beyond what a regular inspection requires. Thanks for offering to do what NY state lemon laws already would do for us. We will build our credit back up and we will advise our children, friends and family members never to go here for a vehicle. Instead we will sent them to smaller name companies who have already offered to help us more than this company has!

True Professionals

by cruzegirl on 08/11/2011

I had an excellent experience at Hoselton when I leased a 2011 Chevy Cruze. First time I ever enjoyed the experience of buying a new vehicle. I think I was your typical “online” customer. I did a great deal of research on the Web, read many reviews and consumer articles and extensively used the national Chevrolet website where buyers can “build” a car and request quotes from local dealers. This led to a series of e-mails with nearly all area Chevy dealers. All sent an initial message stating that someone would follow up shortly. However sometimes that was the first, last and only message I received. Apparently some dealers do not take the e-commerce customer too seriously – or if they do, they are not very organized about it. In other cases once I began asking questions, it was like pulling teeth to actually get answers. These dealers seemed more interested in getting me to come in and talk and did not provide the price quotes promised by Chevy's “Build Your Own” feature. I'd driven the Cruze at least 4 times by that point. What I needed was information. In one e-mail I asked a question on a Tues am, finally receiving the answer on a Friday night at 5 pm after numerous e-mails in between. All this e-mail ended up being a huge waste of time - not to mention depressing - as I'd started to think I was never going to find a dealer to whom I would actually want to give my business. Then late on a Friday night I sent off a request for leasing information and basically expected more of the same. However before noon the following day I received a very professional response from Hoselton's Internet manager Steve Dash. From start to finish my contacts with Steve - and everyone else at Hoselton - were significantly more professional than most of my experiences elsewhere. A strong commitment to customer service was evident from the beginning. When I asked a question I received prompt and direct answers. I was given two different price quotes [one for each down pmt amount I was considering]. Since I'd never leased a car before I had a lot of questions about that as well and each time received prompt, professional, honest and business-like answers. It only took about 5-6 e-mails over a 3-day period before I had basically decided that Hoselton had earned MY business and I made an appt to visit the dealership where my in-person experience was also excellent. Everyone with whom I came in contact was friendly and helpful. I never once felt pressured, rushed or “handled.” And I was quite impressed after hearing the following more than once: “We want you to be comfortable with the choices you're making.” It sounds amazing to say it but I really felt as though everyone there was on my side. I made a deposit the day of my visit but had to wait several days before a Cruze could be located with the kind of upholstery I preferred - which was no problem at all for me. And my monthly payment is exactly what I was told it would be in an e-mail nearly 2 weeks before taking delivery - something I find truly incredible. Hoselton even found a $1500 Chevrolet incentive I didn't know I was eligible to receive, in addition to another $1500 incentive I had been e-mailed from GM earlier in the month. Hoselton has been equally exceptional after the sale. In the past I drove off in my new vehicle, never hearing from the dealer again. This time it was clear that Hoselton values its customers and wants to do as much as possible to continue the relationship. In my case, I've probably asked more questions after getting my Cruze than I did before - but I continue to receive the same superior support and assistance as an “old” customer. I'm getting seriously spoiled by this level of treatment… but am trying to cope [grin]. To sum up, I strongly recommend Hoselton to anyone who wants to work with true sales professionals. The skill, honesty and demeanor I experienced, and the straight-up way Hoselton employees do their jobs, has made me a customer permanently. I'm looking forward to leasing my next car - hopefully the Chevy Volt - at Hoselton.

They are a dealer that does not want to sell cars, There finance depart if a bunch of [violative content deleted] they fist tell me that they where going to check my credit and they told me a bunch of lies from telling me that I had no credit ("Total lie because they had not done the credit check yet") to enter my information to the system wrong(they put that I was from out of the country). All Show......No Go

by otter_ny on 08/24/2007

August. 20th 2007.......My Wife and I have been looking to lease a new Chevy Tahoe. Hoselton did not have the truck that we where looking for, but found it at another dealer. We then made a deal and then put money down. We then waited for over 4 days. We never got any phone calls. We had to leave messages and then go there in person to find out they could not get the truck. They then refunded our deposit and sent us on our way. I feel as if this dealer had no intention of trying to work with us so that we would leave satisfied. As of now we still do not have the truck and are still looking. If you are in the market for a new vehicle I would STAY AWAY from Hoselton.
