onPLEASE READ. I encourage you to read through. First off they quoted me a price $200 lower than asking, which I did not think was asking too much. They agreed. Then at delivery they decided not to honour it. Their reason being, they needed to spend $3,500 to get the car “sellable.” I reminded them that it was not my problem they accepted a case with apparent issues. They did not care. I then asked for an invoice of what was actually done on the car. It was then that I saw they only paid $2,300 in repairs. Typical car salesman tactics. Then at delivery I was also informed that I needed to cover an additional $395 for Lojack which had already been installed. After having the car a few days and Lojack not working, they kept assuring me the signal was resent, and nothing. Later found out Lojack was not installed on the car. Did get the $395 back. When I went to drive the car off the lot, there was no sound at all coming from the speakers, no music, no chime from door etc. They brought the car back to the dealer, had it for 9 days, then returned it still with no sound from speakers. They told me the amp was blown and I needed to wait 3 weeks for it to be in stock. After three weeks I reached out to them and the part was in stock. They provided me with a loaner while they had the amp repaired. The loaner STUNK of cigarette smoke. Disgusting. Alli would have expected to atone for my negative experience was to at the very least honour the $200 they originally agreed on. My experience was less than “magical” as they described it. Based upon my experience this dealership is not respectable nor do I recommend.

Could not repair my car

onPurchased my dream car, a brand new 2015 Jeep Wrangler, in February 2015. Shortly after I purchased it, I noticed a leak between the Freedom Panels. The technician said that I did not fasten the panel screws tightly enough and that is why it was leaking. He said, "You really have to crank them tight." (Now, anyone who owns a Wrangler understands that you never overtighten the screws to the Freedom Tops because it causes them to warp). Shortly after that, it started leaking again. Brought it back for repair, and the issue started again. The technicians all seemed very nonchalant about this issue, saying "Jeeps leak sometimes." After several new seals and new panels the problem seemed fixed. Until it started leaking from the door. I awoke one morning to a completely soaked front seat, carpet, and mat. Brought it back in again, I asked them to fix the repair and to dry the carpet. Called several times, was told "they located the source of the leak and are fixing it now." Later that day, I was told "they are now cleaning your car." Pick up my car, the wet carpet hasn't been touched. The expensive Canvasback liner that I have in my cargo area was ripped off and a portion of the rear carpet exposed. Ask the technician why and she said "sorry, they dried the wrong carpet, they thought the back was leaking." Not sure exactly what about "driver's side floorbed" was difficult to understand. Additionally, every time I have had my car serviced at this dealership - which, by the way, is not close to my home - it has been returned to me filthy. The interior freedom panels have had huge greasy handprints on them and the exterior has never even been dried after all the water testing. The door leak has still not been fixed and I am not past warranty at only 25K miles since it's been just three years. Asked for a buyback, per the suggestion of the Service Manager, on this leaking car and Jeep refused. I purchased my vehicle at this dealership based on word of mouth recommendation, but I will never return here for service or for another vehicle. I have been an excellent customer over the last three years, bringing in my car for all its recommended services and only coming to the dealership I purchased my vehicle from, as outlined in my sales agreement. However, I believe the mechanics at this shop are poorly trained and they simply do not have enough time or space for the amount of vehicles that they service. Chrysler has lost a customer in me and I will be letting others know what my experience was at Meadowland.

Mike Risi is the best of the best

onReviews are a great way to get a understanding about who your thinking about doing business with and I love to read some of them first before visiting a dealership but I never take the time to follow-up afterwords to write my own review. However I have to tell you that after my past positive experience with salesman Mike Risi I felt compelled to let the world know that this gentleman is one awesome individual. Mike is a veteran salesman who has been at Meadowlands for many years, back to at least when I purchased a Yukon from them in 2003. I'm not a easy sale and I do my homework and research to make sure I get the most for my money. In doing this I tend to be very demanding on the salesman and I expect a level of service and understanding that you don't normally find in many people. Mike meet all my expectations and then some. He works extremely hard, is very accommodating, responsive, understanding, not pushy and truthful. If your looking for a salesman who is going to do the right thing by you and who will truly help you through the crazy process of purchasing a car then Mike is your guy. Like I said I never write one of these reviews but after the way Mike treated me I had to let the world know. Dave S.

onMy sales guy Steve Kaplan was amazing. He helped me custom order from the factory a challenger and it turned out better than I ever would have expected. He, Vinny, and Joe were all great throughout the whole process. Steve kept me updated every week and it was so easy to get in contact with him. I had gone to another dealer first, looking at challengers on the lot and the manager didn't want to work with me so I left empty handed and disappointed, and that's when I ended up at meadowland of Carmel. I walked out happier, with the car that I custom built, and a great price. He worked with my budget even with all the added features I wanted. I can't say enough great things about the team at this dealership. I really won't go anywhere else. They went above and beyond my expectations! Thank you so much !

onI am one of the most difficult people to deal with and I will admit it. I am picky and most of all extremely cautious when it comes to big purchases. Steve was patient, listened and most of all honest with us. He was also respectful of our time considering we drove an hour away to get there. onI purchased my 2012 dodge challenger srt8 from this company 1 year ago, loved the car, but due to changes at my job and having to drive in snow to get to work I decided to trade my car in and get a 4x4 vehicle. upon going to a different dealership to trade my car in the manager ran a car fax report and on the report it said there was structure damage done to the vehicle prior to me purchasing the vehicle. so I went back to Meadowlands and talked to the manager Steve(who's a nice guy) and told him when I bought the car they ran auto check and there was nothing about any structure damage when I bought the vehicle at full retail last year but the car fax says otherwise, he told me come back tomorrow and he will talk to the owner. I show back up the next day and they put my car up on the lift to inspect the vehicle and said they don't see any structure damage to the vehicle and said knowing what they know about the car now they couldn't give me full trade value for the car in good condition which is 24,000. they were low balling me to make me go away knowing I wouldn't take their offer. I tried to give these guys a chance and make things right but they didn't want to take that route. So the next step for me is to call the Attorney general. Bottom line is I paid retail value for a car with structure damage that I didn't know about and they didn't wanna make things right. If buying used from this company pay for your own car fax or stay away from them

Exceptional Lease Experience

onFirst, I am at attorney in the industry and represent several automotive manufacturers in the northeast and southeast. I have also bought and leased numerous new cars in my life and must say this was the best transaction. I wanted to lease a new 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee and interacted w/ numerous dealers throughout the northeast (dealers in CT, NY, PA and NJ). The most responsive sales person I dealt with was Vincent Madigan at Meadowland. Vinny, responded to my many emails and calls promptly. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and is not pushy like a typical car salesman. He found the vehicle (GC Limited) that other dealers said was not available. When we met he was extremely patient and allowed me to test drive several vehicles. It was during this test drive that I fell in love with an Overland and ended up leasing this vehicle. I must also say that the F&I manager (Joe) was also very professional and extremely knowledgeable. It is without reservation that I recommend Meadowland of Carmel and specifically Vinny and Joe. You will not be disappointed and I will definitely be doing business there again when this lease ends.

onI brought my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee into the Meadowland's service department today asking for a software update for my radio. My radio display was flashing "please insert update USB." The service department called and told me my radio was dead and needed to be replaced for $2500, but they would do me a favor and only charge $550. Additionally, they were charging an $80 diagnostic fee, despite being informed of the issue on drop off. Upon questioning the diagnosis fee, it was very quickly waived and I expressed doubt in needing a new radio. I told them I would try to update the radio software on my own. I was assured that everything was tried and test and the radio was as dead as could be. Further, they repeatedly told me that I absolutely could not update my own software. Within 15 minutes of leaving, Meadowland called and offered to replace my radio for free. My husband downloaded the uconnect software on to a USB and within 10 minutes my radio was as good as new. Upon calling Meadowland and informing them that the radio is fixed, they were speechless. No apologies, no explanation, nothing. I am so disappointed in the lack of professionalism and the utter dishonesty. Either the technicians are completely incompetent or Meadowland is scamming unsuspecting customers. We have repeatedly asked to speak with a manager, but have yet to hear from anyone. I will never do business with Meadowland again and will be sure to warn everyone I know.
