It's like you are surrounded by [non-permissible] including top managers
by 07/19/2016
onI registered with Edmunds just to write this review. These people are the worst of the worst. The guy in Finance sold me a $3500 warranty I cannot use after assuring me that I can use it (lying and saying that he confirmed it with the main office), and also stuck in an extra $2000 'theft protection' policy without telling me or even mentioning it. Later the $3500 warranty was voided and I received only $1200 back. On top of that later realized they gave me a terrible price to begin with. Later, after confronting the top manager about what happened, told me he did not believe my story of what happened and did not want to do anything about it. The top sales manager also denied ever seeing me. I should have ran out of there when I felt the bad vibes on day 1. I don't even want to begin on the horror stories in the service dept.

onWent in to lease a 2016 grand Cherokee from Turgo based on people I know that have used him. I told him I wanted a 2016 grand Cherokee limited in white with a panoramic roof 20in wheels and hid/led headlights. Turgo told me that those options outside of the 20in wheels were not available on the limited and that is need to get an overland. The overland was way too much for a jeep so I got the limited. The next day I was going to work and saw a limited with the options I wanted. I looked at this dealers website and viewed their inventory. Guess what? Those options are available on the limited but they did not have one in stock that was white. Turgo lied to us telling us what we wanted didn't exist just because he didn't have it in stock. That's a real [non-permissible content removed] move. He won't return multiple phone calls then someone went in for me on Tuesday he said he'd call me within 24hrs. I waited 72hrs went in and what a surprise he wasn't there. Spoke with a manager named Jason Gorman. He was more useless than Turgo. He tried lying to me about the car I wanted not financing for the same rate, called the bank faxed them the window sticker of the car I wanted, guess what? It was a lie as well. What does that have to do with his salesman lying to me? Be a man both of u!!! Admit you lied and got caught!!!

I do not want to come back again to this place
by 11/15/2015
onThis place is trying to rip me off. The sales was disrespectful. What??? Jeep Wrangler Sports with Power Winder and Automatic transmission is $530 a month and $1000 downpayment for a lease? The price doesnt make sense and I told him I am an accountant and deal with numbers everyday. He asked me where do I work and have a CPA or not with disrespectful tone. His final offer was $499 per month and $1k down. He told me, if I do not agree with this number, I cant test drive. WHAT? then he stepped out for 10m and came back there is not stock for me. Hey man..I am not coming back here again. Good Bye
Completely Underwhelmed
by 11/19/2014
onI recently traded my '07 Grand Cherokee for a '15 Cherokee. Love the Hemi but can't afford the gas. So I stopped into Bayside CJDR.... The first salesperson I encountered seems like he wanted to just take my order. He couldn't tell me the difference between a Wrangler Sport and a Wrangler Rubicon in any meaningful way. He didn't know what the manual fuel door release was in the '15 Cherokee and didn't want to find out. Regardless - we sat down to discuss lease options & pricing. This was my first lease so I had some learning to do and expected a salesperson to be able to at least describe the different options. My salesman looked at his inventory for the car thought I wanted, jotted down the MSRP, and quoted me a very high monthly payment off the top of his head (no calculators, no computers, no looking anything up). I questioned the number showing him the price on Jeep.com and he told me Jeep.com didn't know what they were doing. I insisted and he went off to speak with his manager. When he came back the number had been cut in half. So I walked out -- angry that I had been played for an idiot. A week later I received a special sale email from Bayside Jeep so I called them up to set up an appointment. I figured anyone can hire one bad salesperson. Not the case. I recounted my story to the new salesperson on the phone and he apologized. When I asked him why there's a gas pump icon on the inside passenger-side rear pillar of the new Cherokee he explained this icon tells a mechanic which side of the car the gas tank is on should they have to remove it! If this is the sales experience, I'd hate to go through the service experience so Bayside is a no-go for me and anyone who will listen to me until these guys get their act together. There are a limited number of cars to sell and every salesperson should know *every* thing about *every* one - bar none.

Horrible
by 10/12/2014
onFor your own benefit, before visiting this dealership, please read other customers reviews. This business consistently receives very low ratings for a reason. The business model is like from 60ties. 20 salesman doing nothing waiting for a client to come and when a buyer shows up he is treated like an idiot. Doesn't an owner of this place see what is going on? Can't wait for an app that I can use to buy a car and not having to deal with this type of business and people at all.

Total scam, Rip off and bait and switch....very unprofessinal
by 09/13/2013
onI was refered to this company by my bank for financing. The staff were very unprofessional, rude and treated me with complete disrespect. The staff lie about other staff working their to steal commission, they false advertise the cars they have, and they try to bait and switch to lure you from buying in your price range to higher value. Ex, a customer i observed came in asking about a car in the 20ks they took him to the 40k cars and bypassed his price range.

Great Experience
by 09/07/2013
onI walked into this dealership and met a great salesperson by the name of Jason G. He was very polite in every way and very informed about the new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Very easy process and I got $1000 more for my trade than I was quoted at other Jeep dealerships. This dealership was very busy and I specifically watched the other customers while I was there and it felt like everyone was getting the same type of service that I got. I recommend this dealer to anyone that wants a great price and excellent customer service. Thank you Bayside for making my purchase easy!

By all means learn from my experience!
by 04/11/2013
onHow about this one: I asked for my 100% refundable deposit back on March 28th and I still have not received it! So, my credit card company will give me the credit and take it back for me. Now that's a retailer who's not only incredibly smart but who truly knows how to treat a potential customer. My particular thanks goes out to Sal F. A truly honest and astute salesman. Whose face belies the astounding brain power he possesses. Whom I must credit for giving me the insight I needed to stay away from Bayside Chrysler Jeep in the future even if my life and the life of my first born male child depended on it! By all means learn from my experience!

I would never buy from this dealership
by 02/01/2013
onThey lie about price and availability of cars in stock. They try to get you down there. They waste your time. I was relentless and I made sure that I had everything in writing before I went down there. I wasted 2 days of back and forth but I did get car that We initially agreed on the phone. They had to get car from another dealership and haggled while there for almost 2 hrs for them to honor price that was quoted to me. Their delivery service is horrible. Brand new car delivered w less then 1/8 tank of tank gas left. Manufacturer stickers, interior and exterior of truck never removed. I guess you have to pay their dealer prep fee in order to get a car ready to go... This dealership gives a bad name to jeep. Goto Honda/ Acura , Nissan/ infiniti... They need to take a page from their book on customer service and honesty. The type of behavior they exhibited makes me rethink their whole product line on the next new car. They turned what should have been a happy moment into I hate this guys moment.

Dealer Prep Fee Scam
by 09/23/2012
onDealer Prep Fee on Used Cars, even though they are allowed to do this they will get a lot of opposition and they may even get a call from their states Attorney General. The dealer prep fee scam is just another way of padding the bill. Many people will pay the prep fee because they are told that all cars get charged the dealer prep fee.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP
by 09/03/2010
onBayside Jeep is the WORST dealership I have ever gone to. I mean that with sincere honesty. The sales guys are nice, say they are giving you what you want - waste your time( 2 days of my time in my case) and then they send you into the finance room where they give you a completly different story. The sales guy blames the finance guy - the manger gets involved. Its a pretty well organized SCAM. They all stand around you and you feel nothing but pressure and start signing things. I strongly suggest, that you drive the 10 minutes to long island and go to one of the jeep dealerships there. Thats what I did. Oh, and when you try to get your deposit back, that they get from before you realize what is going on - good luck. It was A NIGHTMARE GETTING IT BACK. I wouldnt send my worst enemy to buy a car from these [violative content deleted]. I can only imagine that any and all the positive reviews are from the DEALERSHIP trying to make up for all the bad reviews they get. Anyone I have talked to has said nothing but BAD THINGS about this place - boths sales and service. I wish I knew before i wasted my time with them.

Easy to buy at Bayside
by 08/23/2010
onI have been shopping for a Jeep Grand Cherokee for a month. The sales department at Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge helped me find the exact vehicle that I wanted and gave me $1000 more for my trade than any other dealer. I drove out with my new Jeep the same day. I love it and Bayside..

Friendly But Be Aware Its All Part Of The Nightmare.
by 12/08/2009
onThe sales people are friendly but remember its all to get your trust and ultimately steal your money with lies and shadey deals. I bought the car but wish I had never went to the dealer. My advice get all your paper work done first and dont sign anything until you understand things in black and . The finance team will find ways of stealing your money with switching things at the last minute. Be carefull of using there credit unions and buying down your interest with your money. You probaly had the best rate in the first place. If you need to do a trade in go to Carmax or another place and get the bottomline. Thtas what you should get for your trade. Dont get screwed do your homework and dont be afraid to walk on the deal and ask for a owner or executive manager. They usually have someone who is watching them but sometimes they all work as a team. (like wolves)
