No Worksheet fellas

by Jose Huertas on 06/21/2022

Terrible Place to shop. Hows does a legitimate place of business expect you to hand over your hard earned cash if they won't show you a Work sheet showing what you're paying for. I do know Times are different but I've been buying cars for over 40 years and this is the first time that a dealer refused to show an Out The Door Worksheet.. So strange.. I would stear far away from these guys.. and it was also a bait and Switch situation. Payments Quoted were double of what On Website..

Horrible [non-permissible content removed]

by ILoveHonesty on 01/03/2018

It seems this dealership is not serious about selling cars. They have a sales guy named Diego who tells you to wait for him outside, to check the vehicle you're interested in, only to find out that he is a no show after fifteen or twenty minutes waiting for him. You're not sure if the guy was serious or has a mental problem because in the first second he tells you he'll show up in a "few minutes," and then never showing up at all. Then you have a guy named Charlie, who comes in to talk about money, when they find out you're interested in buying, only to give you a price quote that is significantly higher than what you saw online or on the window sticker. It's as if these guys don't really care what happens to the potential sale after outright dishing out some really vicious lies in front of your face. Oh, and they won't even let you try the car to begin with, even though giving the appearance that they will do so, as long as you make an appointment. You first have to talk about how much you are willing to spend and if you agree to the their terms before they even allow you to touch the steering wheel. Had I known I was going to be conned this bad I would have never wasted time and gas paying them a visit. If I could give them a million negative stars I would. THEY ARE HORRIBLE!

I disagree with the one star ratings

by Jerseymomof2 on 11/20/2017

I've been to this dealership three times now, once to buy my vehicle, and twice to service it. This dealership is a small accomedating and friendly place to buy and service your car. The sales department went over and beyond to get me into my Mazda 6 and although service can take a little longer then other dealerships it's well worth it. It's not express service all their mechanics are certified and extremely knowledgeable. I enjoy my experiences there very much

Could not get anywhere near a purchase - crazy

by spunsilver on 05/27/2017

We made an appointment to test drive two cars, one for the first time and one for the second. We arrived on time and were nicely greeted. But the sales guy disappeared after the first drive (of the car we had already driven once) and didnt return after 10 minutes. We went inside and were handed over to a superior with apologies for the first guy's inexperience and inconsiderateness. We let salesman no. 2 that we had narrowed our choices down to three specific Mazda and Subaru models, and were quite serious. We got in the second car (the one we were trying for the first time) and drove for about 3 minutes when he told us to turn around and come back. We told him we needed more highway time to evaluate the car, and he said that wasnt possible due to insurance only covering this specific route. We pointed out that the first Mazda dealer we visited did not have this issue. He said, "different dealers have different insurance." My husband told him he has been buying cars for over 30 years and has never had a dealer refuse to let him drive the car to his satisfaction. The sales guy then told us that it was a white car and buyers would not want to see mileage on it. To be honest, we went there having done a lot of research and not far from ready to buy a car. We already liked one a lot and thought we might like the other even more, but needed to test it and see its features. It wouldnt have taken a lot of effort for the guy to make a sale or at least lay 80% of the groundwork. He didnt do that. Instead he let us walk out angry that we wasted our day on a dealer that didnt wouldnt let us have a decent test drive. Last point is that neither of the sales guys were interested in selling their cars, i.e., during the test drive, sales guy #1 wanted to tell us his story and talk about different cultures, and sales guy #2 was focused on getting his car back in the lot. Neither one even tried to make a sale. Very weird experience. Not sure we would even go back there for service, which may mean we are buying a Subaru as this is the closest Mazda dealership by far.

I gave this dealership a try despite all the 1-star ratings

by gamena314 on 11/04/2015

Let me just say that I don't understand how this dealership maintains business, but I'm getting ahead of myself. We came to the dealership to meet with the salesman #1 at 7:30 pm ready to make a purchase if we could agree on a fair price. We were told to wait around because they were with another customer. While in the waiting area, we were brought in an office to do more waiting. After sitting around for about 10 minutes, another salesman (salesman #2) came in the office and sat behind the desk and waited with us until salesman #1 was ready. He literally sat across from us on the other side of the desk in silence. We did this for half an hour. Just as we were about to leave, salesman #1 finally comes in. There was no greeting, and the whole process was rushed as if he had somewhere better to be. The conversation lasted no more than 5 minutes and he said that "the sticker price is what it is". He could not even be bothered to tell us what the sticker price even was. He showed absolutely no effort and no interest in making a sale. The whole experience felt like we were an inconvenience. All in all, we came in ready to purchase a car on the spot and they made us wait about 30 awkward minutes in a room with salesman #2 who didn't try to stir up any meaningful conversation about anything only to tell us that the sticker price was what it was. When we told salesman #1 that we were possibly interested in purchasing the CX-3 in blue, he said he'll check the inventory and left the room. We, in turn, decided to leave. He met us on our way out and said that "it doesn't make sense to get into or talk about pricing" because he didn't have that color on the lot. I'm sorry that we wasted our time giving this dealership a chance even after the terrible rating it has on edmunds.com. Even if you look at the rating details on yelp, it currently says that it has sixty-one 5-stars, two 4-stars, two 3-stars, three 2-stars, and twenty-two 1 stars. It makes you wonder why the ratings are pretty much either a 5-star or a 1-star. You probably had a great experience if they, for some reason, felt you were worth the time and if they felt you weren't, then they didn't even bother to be cordial or, at the very least, professional.

Mazda crashed my new CX-5 2016 lost resale value

by themotorist66 on 08/25/2015

Bought a new 2016 cx-5 did not want to start and Mazda roadside came and picked it up. At delivery of my SUV of my local service dep. The tow truck driver forgets to tie down my real wheels and when the truck moved forwards my car smashed into the rear of the truck cousins front end damage to my new car "Yes this was Mazda road side" now I lost resale value "deprecation" of my car that was not my fault. Rasheed tried to help me out but it was all up to the owners to to get me in a new same car or give me the cash I lost because there car did not want to start in the first place they just want me to pour out more cash for a lease. Then told me some thing I already know and that if a car that leaves a dealer it deprecates. So on top of that Mazda damages my car and now I lost more money. They don't want to take the blame for my car that did not start in the first place and they don't stand behind the cars they sell. Wish I read the reviews before buying my SUV in this dealer go some were else their solution is spend more money.

Best Mazda Dealer in Bergen County

by poppy22 on 02/10/2015

I had to have my car towed in to the service center , and within minutes from my car getting there they had a technician looking at my car to see why it wouldn't start. They were honest and very helpful to me and my family while we where stranded there. Within an hour we were back up on the road. Keep up the great work guys!!

Not there to make a sale

by testdriver2 on 12/23/2013

I stopped at this dealer at 3:00 pm on Friday Dec 20. Told salesperson I was interested in Mazda 6. He immediately asked me to come into his office to get my information, which I declined since I hadn't even looked at the car yet. After taking a look at the demo model in the showroom, I asked to take a test drive. He told me I would have to make an appt to come back on Monday (!) because there were only 2 people on the sales floor and the Sat appts were booked up. I then went outside by myself to look at the other Mazda 6's on the lot. Still shocked, I went back in and said, I am here now and you are going to let me leave? He said yes. So fine, even though I live closer to Lodi, I will take my business to Wayne or Ramsey. Terrible customer service.

Terrible Service/They have no idea what they are doing

by Mazda84 on 09/25/2013

Be skeptical of taking your car for service here. I have a 2007 Mazda 6 that I took in for replacement of a cooling module. My CL light was also on and I explained how my car surges when gas is at the 1/4 of gas or below mark. I asked them to look at it and they said the problem is a certain issue and recommended certain things be done. I spent $1800 dollars. 1 WEEK later the light was back on and the same problem was occurring. I took it back and they said it was something else. Again the light came on. I took it back and had something else done. 2 days later the light was back again. Now after frustration they are trying to tell me they will either fix it and only charge me for the part which is $390 or they can put the $2790 I already spent towards a new car from them. Seems like this was their plan from day 1. Stay clear of this dealer, especially for service for a check engine light. They will scam you and do nothing for you except take your money without fixing the problem.

Waste of time...

by ProspectBuyer on 07/06/2013

I recently visited this dealer after July 4th weekend. Had a confirmed appointment for test drive. Ran 2 hours late because of errands. But to my surprise I reach the place to find no cars to test drive. The rep was not willing to share details of any July 4th deals, was talking for half an hour without showing any brochure, was not willing to share cost of accessories, did not provide a proper quote. Thank god, he at least showed the cars on display but was interested only about talking finances than selling the car. I had to put up with this guy because I made a great effort to visit this store from Secaucus. I now have to go another Mazda dealer to check the car out as I really like it. What a waste of time !!! Mazda or prospect customers note it down.

Disgrace

by cars10988 on 01/10/2013

I don't understand how this dealership is still open, or how they have not gotten sued. I sat down with Lance and he was the rudest [non-permissible content removed] I have ever met. First he greeted me by staring down my shirt in front of my father and boyfriend, and yes they both did notice. Then he gave us an OBSERD price on the CX5, expecting us to pay it. After all, the deanship refuses test drives. I simply told him that the pricing was way off with the other dealers and he called me and my dad a liar. So we left the dealership. Then two days later I had noticed that my license was missing. TWO WHOLE DAYS LATER. I call Lance and nicely ask him if he has my license and he replies with "yep". No apology not explanation for why he didn't call sooner, nothing. My mom was enraged so she called Lance's manager (I cannot remember his name) and complains to him about how Lance was rude to my father and I, the manager replies with "well they weren't very nice to him". This was false we were nothing but courteous with Lance. That night my boyfriend and I wanted to go pick up the licenses, I refused to go in. My boyfriend came back to the car with not only MY license but my dad's license as well. I am convinced that Lance was holding our licenses on purpose, and he knew we were from far out of town. I would NEVER do business with this dealership ever again and I do not suggest that anybody else does.

RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL AMATEURS

by elizacreamer on 11/14/2012

RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL Review: Zero stars. Went in on a Saturday morning to test drive a car. Charlie told me they had no plates to come back later. I guess employees using the new cars/plates is more important than selling cars? Went back later. Asked to drive 3 different vehicles. was told no. when I told them I would drive it there or else where, Charlie slammed his hand down and said "WELL THEN YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY" and walked away. lmao. Went to tell sales manager. Sales manager claimed to be the owner and agreed with Charlies poor actions. I bought a car the very same day some where else. A completely different experience at the "other" place. Professional, courteous, well equipped with sales people & lots of cars. Still shaking my head. How do they stay in business? Consumers are smart. They can spot fake good reviews written by dealers. Dont kid yourself Lodi Mazda. Bad reviews, on the other hand, are real. Even with the dealers [non-permissible content removed] comments. Can't believe you've lasted this long.

Just Plain Bad Service

by mazda3driver on 06/09/2012

Schedule the service appointment a day before, they set up the appointment on the phone but when I got there the next morning they were giving me a bad attitude. Got hostile. Said I was not allowed service and they could not tell me why? I asked for a manager and he said he was not there and I asked for his name so I could call him and he only would give me his first name and no phone number. Just a bad experience. Would never go back there for any reason. They dont know how to treat or respect people.

by tscho on 01/21/2012

I honestly cant understand all of the positive reviews that people wrote about their experience with Lance Aiello at Lodi on other websites that are supposedly run by a third party. You can see the actual truth on this website. It was extremely frustrating to work with him and made the process of buying a new car a challenging experience. One of the first things I had asked to be able to do was to test drive the car because I had never owned a mazda or driven in one. For some reason, he refused to allow us to do so unless we agreed on price. I can understand where he is coming from, but as a consumer and customer, this was not how I was comfortable proceeding. I also must mention that he was unresponsive to several of the message that my fiance left for him when he called to try to work out a deal and talk more about the car. He definitely has a strong personality and seems to know more than the average Joe about his cars, but can be tough to work with.

Dissapointing Visit

by mazda_rx8_1980 on 09/18/2011

I recently needed rear brake work done on my 05' RX-8. 2 days before I submitted a request and received a phone call saying they could do the work and come-in. They quoted me 390 for the work which was above the range of rear brake work typically 250-350 according to repairpal.com. Regardless, I knew I needed the work because I had held off since 3 months ago when the same dealership had said I needed rear brakes done. So I took Friday afternoon off from work and went down to the dealership. When I got there they took at look at the car and said they didn't have the parts and couldn't do the brake work! To say the least I was taken aback because they told me they were able to do it on the phone and changed their tune once I got there. When pressed, they said sometimes they just don't have the part cause its hard to get? Obviously these guys don't know anything about service cause aside from hoses/belts/air filters there is NOTHING that gets replaced more than BRAKES/PADS/ROTORS. Seriously your mom and all her friends will get this done...I wasn't exactly looking for a hypersonic accelerator. They told me if I want they can order the parts and have them delivered next week or if not to take my business elsewhere. By this point I was floored, not only did they 1). LIE and say they had the part when they didn't, 2). weren't willing to compromise for my time or losing a half days pay and 3). essentially said get out, we don't want your business. I'll tell you what, this dealership deserves an entire company called reputationdestroyer to be made with your face on the banner. Thats what I call customer service. Who's buying Mazda again?

Came back in 3h. still no plates available for test drive and no good explanation. How could you buy car with out test drive? They are not giving any kind of respect to customers.

The little things...

by ecashdol on 06/28/2011

We really did our research before going to buy a car. We settled on the Mazda 5 for a variety of reasons. Of all the Mazda 5's in the area, Mazda Lodi had 3 that fit both our price and mileage requirements. We ended up focusing on one w/ very low mileage and a good price. So off we went. When we arrived, we went straight to the Mazda 5s and the sticker price of the car I was wanting was 2k higher than it was listed on Autotrader. I figured maybe I had an Internet special so no big deal. After inquiring further about the car, I was informed that the price listed on the Internet was a mistake and that the "Internet Guy" was new. So, the sticker price would be the price. I showed obvious disappointment and after a bit, they agreed that they would honor the Internet price, but there was going to be no room for negotiations. We had hoped to get the price down a bit, but we were operating under good faith and figured that they were being honest about the mistake. So, we test drove the car and it seemed great. We agreed to buy the car and did the paperwork and everything was pretty simple. We had a few reservations about a car w/ such low mileage (7,400) being sold, but they set our mind at ease and we felt pretty solid about the whole thing. I asked for a few minor things to be thrown in the deal: a tank of gas, mats, and a few services.. they agreed to all. I asked all the questions: any wrecks? all proper services? any thing else I should know about the car? Meanwhile, I was still waiting on the Carfax, which I had to keep reminding them about. Finally, they produced it and it seemed fine. Upon completion of the deal and after we signed all the paperwork, we were informed there weren't any more mats and we had already signed the thing that said we were given all we were promised. Not a deal breaker. Then, we went to leave and I asked about the gas, the salesman agreed and we went over. He didn't fill it up. He only put $20 in it... Not a deal breaker, but I was beginning to get a bit annoyed. But we really wanted the car, so we moved on. A couple days later I began to notice squeaking in the rear end. I decided to make an appointment for service. I took it in and they fixed it no problem. It was a bad rear right shock. The guy also rotated the tires. So far so good. I asked about the 7500k service and the tech. said the car didn't get it. This was a bit curious to me as the car had 7450 miles and I figured that selling a new car should have been thoroughly inspected and have the regular service done. Also, I was told it had all the services done. I left and the car drove great. But I figured I should call and ask about the service. This is where things got a bit hairy. I asked about it and the manager said that that wasn't required... it was optional... I pushed a bit, but he basically said if I wanted it, I had to schedule it and get it done (and obviously pay for it). I can't see why they'd sell a car that was scheduled for a service, but not do the service. And, if so, why wouldn't they just offer to do the service, admitting to the mistake... or oversight. I asked if this is what I could from the dealership? He got a bit bothered and said, "Yeah. You're right. Yep. You're right." This obviously was sarcastic. He then said maybe I should take my business elsewhere. That's it. That's where it was left. It's just really bizarre to me that they would cut such corners such as the mats, the gas, and the service and move on as if the customer, at least in this case, doesn't matter. I guess they're selling lots of cars and not really needing to take care of the little things over there. Nothing personal here, I don't even know their names, and they probably don't know mine, but I just wish I could of had a better experience. Leaves us with a bad taste in our mouth even though we do like the car.

DON'T GO THERE !!!! Waste of time. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!. This is the worst dealer i ever went to ! Sales/service manager (Jeff) is the worst person to talk to about your car. I went there because this dealer is most convenient for me. I was pretty sure that my oxygen sensor failed. I went there and advised that this may cause issue. After 3 hours I was called to the window and I was told that nothing is wrong with my car. I received $100 bill to pay which i refused and asked for test drive with somebody. The guy came and took me for a ride (he was on driver seat). OMG I was feeling that he is trying to make me an idiot... He never reached even 35 m/h and for any shaking/jerking I tried to point to him he was saying that is the way he drives(?) I asked to switch seats. Once I accelerated and pretty clearly showed him what I was talking about he agreed that something is wrong with my car. Came back to the dealer and went home. After couple of hours they called me and said that they changed oxygen sensor and car is ready for pick up (couple of hours before I told them about o2 sensor... I missed day at work because they don’t provide loan car...) Four days later, when my wife was going to work car stopped and oil leaked. She called for road assistance and they towed it away to Mazda of Lodi (unfortunately) I tried to call corporate to move my car to the other dealer but advised that I would have to pay for towing. I was trying to get some information from dealer about what failed in my car but only received info that they need to replace half of the engine. Even Jeff (manager) couldn't tell me what happened. I was trying to negotiate a loan car with Jeff but this guy is really difficult to work with. He is ignorant and makes you feel like you are nothing to him. One day he just walked away while I was still talking to him leaving me in the middle of the facility. Other time he was rude on the phone and telling me that I should take my car to some other dealer and pay towing fees. After about two weeks they called me to pick up my car. I came there around 7pm when service was closed. I signed warranty papers and received keys to my car. Once I got to my car I realized that its extremely dirty! Black stains on the light interior, black scratches on the door, oil stains on body, disgusting dust all over... Once I got a chance to drive the car I realized I have the same issue as before with o2 sensor. Got home called corporate and explained everything. Lady from cust service called Jeff and explained my concerns. He stated that HE took the car for a test drive and everything worked good (am I an idiot?) I gave up, next day I took it to the other dealer (Edmunds.com won't let me give the name of it). Left my car for couple of days and asked to check work done by Mazda of Lodi. After couple of days they called me back said that Oxygen sensor failed and they fixed couple of things Mazda of Lodi did wrong. Now my car finally runs the way it should. BTW I have 42000 miles on it so it's still under warranty...

Very disappointing experience

by veverica on 05/04/2011

This dealership will try to rip you off and try to make you feel like a fool in the process. Do not bother pointing out what they have on their own website - they do not seem to know or care. Do not try with what the car producer offers as an incentive either - does not matter. I was given a non-negotiable monthly rate (once they run their calc, that's it, no changes :) for a lease so way above the rate advertised everywhere, all the fine print applied etc, that I still remain puzzled how these people stay in business with an attitude like that. Consumers are informed these days, they come here, to this website, for example before showing up at dealerships. Do not waste your time with this dealership; they seem to be catching uninformed.

took my 05 Mazda in for service. they charged me for doing work that should have been free due to a Mazda service bulletin. few weeks later, the same problem returned - this time i got away with "only" the $149 diagnostic fee because they were recommending more work that the manufacturer says should be performed under warranty. oh, and they suggested front and rear brakes for $1,400 - that the brakes had to be done immediately because the car was unsafe to drive. took the car to meineke - only pads, not rotors were needed. total cost - $360. i think they are under a lot of pressure to make money for the dealership and are acting unethically with their customers.
