EXCELLENT customer service and friendliness. Our salesman, Charles Gaskin was a great help in finding our vehicle. He made sure we were well taken care of and I would recommend him to anyone.

Disappointed!!!

by DREW on 05/06/2019

Worst dealership ever,as a 30 year Marine Vet, traveled from Jacksonville NC to purchase a 2013 Audi A8L 1 April, dealership did not submit out of state registration until 29 April, Failed to properly pay taxes, which I had to pay twice out of pocket to get my plate, they claimed to FEDEX me a refund over a week ago, still waiting. Danny the manager does not answer text messages and his vm stays full, probably other disgruntled customers. Salesman Peter J refuses to return any if my calls since I bought the vehicle outright, no finance through them. Currently have retained a lawyer to deal with this dealership. Stay away from them at all costs

They will cheat you

by voxrva1 on 03/13/2018

want to also give a no star review. AVOID THIS PLACE. THEY WILL CHEAT YOU. I came up from Virginia to purchase a car and trade in my old one. I had spoken with a salesman, Kevin, on the phone who agreed to the trade-in value of my car and confirmed the Internet sale price of the car I was buying. So I had a deal made and even had a pre-approved car loan with Capital One, who they had advertised the car through. When it was time to finalize the paperwork, they said the car was equipped with a Lo-Jack which would cost an additional $500. I told them that I did not need nor want this and to remove. They replied that since I did not want this they were not going to honor the trade-in value of my car and reduced it by $300. As they knew I drove up from Virginia they knew they could screw me with this. Totally unfair. COMPLETE [non-permissible content removed]. DO NOT SHOP HERE, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

Worst Experience Ever!

by bnphoenix on 03/10/2018

Hello, Please allow me to tell my story of my experience dealing with, and purchasing a vehicle from Deluxe Auto Sales. For almost a year, I was searching high and low to find a Cadillac CTS-V. I searched at a few dealerships, but I could not find one in a manual transmission until I came across an ad from Deluxe Auto Sales on CarGurus, which happens to be an hour and 20 minutes away. I immediately called the dealership to place a hold on the vehicle. My call was received by a receptionist, who explained that I could place a hold on the vehicle for a maximum of a week. She told me that she would get manager approval and call me back about placing the hold on the vehicle. The next call that I received was from the Salesman, Charles. I immediately explained that my work schedule would not really allow me to get out there until Saturday when I was off. Charles then proceeded to explain that this dealership is not your typical dealership. He told me that if I could not make it up there that the car could be brought down to me. Understandably, him saying that lured me, because that would have been most convenient. He asked me to fill out an application and that he would get back to me the next day to discuss the details. The next day was almost done with, so I decided to give him a call to see how things were going. When I spoke to him this time, the story changed completely. The story changed to me having to make plans to drive up there to pick the car up, and, since it was the end of the month, he was very adamant about me coming up there the last day of the month. Luckily, I was able to rearrange my schedule to make my way down to see the car. Charles almost immediately greeted me and he walked me into the inventory warehouse to see the car. The car was pretty clean. I immediately noticed that the tires needed to be replaced, and there was a piece that lined the window that was slightly out of place. I brought the liner piece to Charles’ attention, and he assured me it would be taken care of prior to my driving off with it. Charles seemed to be more interested in telling my friend and I where he’s been, who he’s met, and what cars his wife drives, more than making me happy in the sale of the vehicle. At one point, Charles was pulled from our attention to another customer, because “there was a lack of salesmen.” Finally, once all the waiting was done for the finalizing of the paperwork, I was called into the back office to speak with the finance manager to go over final numbers. I was offered a number of protections for my vehicle, including an extended warranty that was through Cadillac and GAP insurance. The Manufacturer warranty was being offered for around $3400-3800. Something told me to get the GAP insurance and to deny the extended warranty. Once all the papers were signed, I made my way to gaze at my new ride and start to transfer of my belongings from my previous vehicle. Charles then came out to take a picture of my new vehicle and me. He then told me to hang tight, and someone was going to be out to give me a card to put gas in the car, as there was little to no gas in the tank. My friend and I sat and waiting in the parking lot for at least 20-30. Then I decided to go in and see what was taking so long. The receptionist called for someone, and then it took them another 20 minutes or so to get someone to take the car to the gas station. When I got back in the car, the tank was barely at a quarter of a tank. They couldn’t even fill up the tank when I had just spend close to $40,000 in their dealership. On my way home, my check engine light pops on. I’m thinking maybe there’s air in the gas tank since I just had to fill the tank up before making my hour plus trip back home. I drove the car all the way home, stopped and restarted the car a few times, and the light continued to stay lit. Once I got to a stable spot, I texted Charles a picture of the light and asked what to do. He called me almost instantly and said that he spoke to the person that put gas in the car and apparently, he kept the car running while he put gas in it. Charles instructed me to let it sit overnight and to let him know if the light reappears the next day. Upon starting it in the morning, the light stayed on. I texted him to tell him that the light stayed on, and explained that I would rather not have to make a trip back up there to get the car looked at. I asked if there was anyone local that could take a look at it, and he replied saying that he would get back to me. About two days later, I attempted to contact him to see if he had made any headway. During our conversation, I asked if I should just take it to my mechanic, who happens to be ASE Certified. He agreed and told me to take it to my mechanic but just not to do anything until I told them what needed to be fixed. I did that and had my mechanic write up a list of what they found. As a side note, my mechanic let me know that the car had some extensive motor work and modifications done to it by the previous owner. Obviously, this knowledge came as a surprise to me. I immediately was thankful that I did not agree to the extended manufacturer warranty that was offered at the time of sale. The warranty would have been made void as soon as the manufacturer saw what was done to the car. I called Charles and explained what my mechanic had found, and asked him how we would proceed in getting the vehicle fixed. He then tells me that I would have to bring the vehicle back up the dealership because the repairs that needed to be done are too extensive. I then told him that was not the previous conversation, and explained that he should have said that in the first conversation when I explained that I did not want to bring the car back up there. He then says that he was going to speak to his manager and get back to me the same day. As the day went by, I still had not received a call back from him. I then started to call back multiple times, because enough time had passed for him to relay the information to his manager and get back to me. In my last call to him he told me that he would have to call me tomorrow because his manager never got back to him. I then told him that if I was going to inconvenience myself by taking a day off to bring the car up there, I would need a loaner vehicle to bring myself back home. He then proceeds to tell me that their not a big enough dealership and they do not offer loaner cars. So at this point, I can’t get my car inspected because I have a check engine light, I can’t get the car fixed locally, and for me to get it fixed I have to inconvenience someone else to take me to the dealership and back twice. The next day, at the end of the day, I receive a call from the dealership’s manager, Al, who was completely unprepared for the conversation that needed to be had. Charles did not even talk to him about what we had spoken about. According to Al, he was given my name and number on a post-it note and he was told to call me. I explained a synopsis of what was going on, but I also explained that Charles should have briefed him on what I had talked to him about over the last few weeks. Al then said that he was going to speak to Charles to get an overview of what needed to be done, and that he was going to get back to me. I am currently still waiting on that phone call.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY

by Marlene202 on 03/09/2017

I was interested in the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and began an email conversation with Sue at Deluxe Auto. I noticed on the Car Fax and on Edmund's auto checker there was an accident with this vehicle on 12/06/2014. I brought this to Sue's attention and she answered that it was a minor accident otherwise, it would have been listed on the carfax. That is not necessarily true which is why I began to do extensive research. I was able to obtain a copy of the accident report and details of the accident. It so happens that the prior owner rear-ended another vehicle and had nearly $13,000 worth of damage to the front end of this 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Dealerships should disclose this type of information to consumers as it will greatly effect the decision making process especially when you're paying a lot of money for it. People do your research. It will save you a lot of money and trouble.
