5 Stars for Service at Flemington Subaru !!!!!

I have known my mechanic at Flemington Subaru for years and have total trust in and appreciation for his exceptional knowledge, skill, and, caring to do the right job right! I consider myself very lucky. In addition, the service staff are unusually personable and helpful...for example, showing me with patience and grace how to operate all the newfangled equipment on the beautiful new loaner car I drive while my own baby is being spruced up.

They let you know when you are due for service, follow up and then perform the service in a timely manner. Everything is explained thoroughly after service completion including a video of work on your vehicle.

1st service under the new ownership

I’m not sure how long the dealership has been under new ownership, but this is my 1st visit with them. I recognize the name, so I assume they are a chain. I had been happy with & a patron of the previous owners for years, so it will be an adjustment. The price of the 24,000 mile service seemed a bit high, but the prices of the other issues found seemed reasonable. Unfortunately the questions below (especially about prices) only have 2 choices, so my answer doesn’t accurately reflect my answer. I’m still reserving my final judgement/opinion on the new ownership until I’ve had another visit or two.

I had a great experience buying my new Outback, I worked with Candida with the purchasing process. They do not pressure you to purchase unwanted options and they are transparent and upfront with their pricing.

William H. sales agent is a gem. Instead of the traditional macho pushy sales guy, William created a conversation that made it easy to explore options and then negotiate with honesty for a great deal. I rate this a 10!

Terrible service

Mechanic identified an issue last time, brought it in with appointment to get the repair done (plus oil change), didn’t hear back all they. Called - was promised it would be done tomorrow. Tomorrow came, heard nothing, again called, now the tech was out. The day after was Sunday. Then Monday came. Again, nothing. Chased them down again - they provided me with an estimate for the repair (which had already been diagnosed). So, we ended up with a four day oil change. Before they were Ciocca, they were GREAT and reasonably priced. From now on: local guy for both our Subarus.

Good communication

I love the text and video feature they now have. No longer have to play phone tag. Simply text message back and forth is all it takes and it’s immediate. Video from mechanic is good too. Get to hear and see what’s wrong with car. Only recommendation is to speak louder and point camera at car and area being looked at. Service team continues to make great improvements

AC Service

The AC service that was recommended at the time of my oil change, which I accepted, has left behind a very strong chemical odor in my car. If it does not dissipate soon, I will have much more to say about it.

Jannette was fine, rest of dealership OMG!

Jannette was attentive and did her best to assist us. The Day we went to get the car it all went very poorly. Whoever detailed prepared the car left minor scratches on interior surfaces and somehow got a sticker paper inside the driver side air vent. Asked for $75 off, as I was a VIP program member, but it was anything but a VIP experience. Then overheard the finance rep we were dealing with complaining to his co- worker about us and the $75. Making statements like, then don’t buy the car. So, I informed Jannette that the staff should be more aware of berating customers, while they are still in the dealership and left. The sales manager stopped us in the parking lot, apologized, made the finance manager apologize, told us we would be dealing with a different finance manager. I agreed, but wife would not go back inside. You would think at that point everyone would be very much aware of our situation. Met with new finance manager, nice enough, but had an error on the sales tax calculations, fixed it as I pointed out the error. At that point I just wanted to close and leave, as I love the Subaru product and satisfied with VIP price for car. Finalize sale walk out to car, check driver side vent, the sticker paper was still there, Urgh! Jannette apologizes again. 20 minutes later, after suggesting they just replace the vent, which they did, drove off the lot, don’t think I’ll ever return. Nothing close to even a mediocre experience let alone good. This dealership location has a lot to work on. They have a great product, sorry to see Subaru represented so poorly.
