This Mommy was manhandled!!!

I was treated terribly by this dealership. The finance manager kept us waiting forever even though we had an appointment and then he tried to overcharge us by telling us that because of the way the finance payments and worked out that we would need to pay more for the car in the end. Such a [non-permissible content removed]. And in the end he had the nerve to physically push my fiancé! I had 3 small children with me and was afraid for their safety. I will NEVER recommend or use this dealership and I would caution anyone who does to steer clear of their finance manager named Christian.

Best dealership in Morris and Sussex Couty

We all know the fustrating process when you don't have a lot of money to buy a used vehicle. You go crazy driving between car dealerships and owners selling used cars trying to arrange to meet at a mechanic to you know what issues the car has so you don't mind buying a lemon. My husband drives a car all day everyday for his job and we had been buying used high mileage cars but were struggling to come up with the money in cash every 3 or 4 years when the car needed to be replaced. He can't use public transportation for work. The Honda dealership laughed us out of the office and the very old car we test drove needed a lot of work and one of the mechanics told us he would not recommend that we buy it. Bloom Auto dealership didn't want us to take a Toyota they had to a dealership to get checked out. We went with my husband to another dealership on route 15 and some of the cars are on his lot and some of the cars are on another lot much father away. The same thing with the Subaru dealership (the cars we were interested in were on another lot). After both of these discouraging experieces we did not want to go to another dealership. We felt very defeated. We found the car we wanted to online here. Called ahead to make an appointment and the car was in stock. Joe had no problem with us taking the car to the dealership to have them look it over. They helped us get an affordable auto loan that worked out to $100 a month. They even helped us hook my husband's cell phone up to the bluetooth system in the car. We've had this car for about half a year now and aside from typical oil changes we did not have to do any work to the car. I could not recommend a better place to buy a used car from. Honest and reliable helpful sales people and customer service. No bait and switch type crap going on . This is our first time buying a pre-owned car from a dealership.

New Hyundai santa Fe

We don't know the rules of life

Went to the dealership with all intentions of buying a car. During the test Drive the salesman was very pleasant, explained the details of the car and then sat down to negotiate a price on the car. It was then that he true personality came shinning through. When he didn't like our questions or our first offer, he become condescending and annoyed. He then proceeded to tell my 60 year old husband he didn't understand the rules of life! I was done at that point and walked outside. The manager then came out and tagged teamed my husband with this [non-permissible content removed] and again asked him if he knew the rules of life. My husband stood up shook their hands and walked out. We proceeded to purchase the same car at another dealer for a price reasonable for us all. BTW a customer came In with a check ready to pick up her car and they had tagged another 500 on her bill. They wouldn't get the manager or take off the 500 dollars so she ripped up the check and walked out. BEWARE!

My 4TH Towne Hyundai purchase

Just bought my 4TH Santa Fe (2019 loaded) from Towne Hyundai and specifically from Joe Ippolito who has sold me all of them. Fast courteous treatment reflecting that I am an important customer. Communication by phone or email was quick and kept me updated on the progress of finding my specific Santa Fe. Smiling faces and a willingness to help are evident the minute you walk through the door. Clean showroom, clean waiting room and fast processing of my sale made the experience very nice indeed. Honesty Much Appreciated

I want to thank Leo and the entire staff at Towne Hyundai for making the lease of my daughter's first new car a positive car purchasing experience. Leo was honest, did not pressure me to make a decision on the spot and was patient as my daughter and I shopped other alternatives. In the end, the Kona was the best car for my daughter and Towne was the best dealer to purchase the car. Go see Leo now for your new Hyundai; you will not be disappointed.

Very Poor Salesmanship

We worked with Jessie? Jess? Today, don’t even know his name because he did not introduce himself. He mumbled and did not explain a single thing to us, we felt like we were playing a guessing game the whole time. He didn’t listen when we told him the kind of car we were looking for. He made much more work for himself, for example, when he crunched numbers on a car I very clearly stated I had no interest in buying. Then, when it came to actually negotiate because I finally found a car I liked, he was rude and explained the whole pricing sheet wrong. He also ran right to his manager at the first sign of true negotiation. He would not convince me to buy a car from here. Ever.

Sales Rep was useless and kept pushing off the problem

I purchased my vehicle from Towne Hyundai and was not given a spare key until he "found" it two weeks later when I picked up my plates. The key he gave me which he claimed to be my spare key, never worked for my car. He said "change the batteries and it should work." After changing the batteries it still never worked. After bringing it to another Hyundai dealership, they confirmed the spare key was not even for my vehicle. Since then it has taken a month to get in touch with my sales rep because he is never answering his phone or responding to my messages. It wasn't until I called hire up where anything happened to solve the wrong spare key. The service department at Towne Hyundai was amazing, however my sales prep was not.

One of the Best

I wasn't expecting to purchase a car the same day I was browsing for one. However, the staff was so friendly and considerate, I couldn't refuse a purchase. The sales member that served us was Jose, and he really took the time to go over every question I had. He knows every spec of every car on the lot. When it came time to discuss numbers, the team was very reasonable and even provided assurance for what I was considering. You can see that this location works as a team and a family. I never had such a great experience at a car dealership. I will continue to shop/service here for years to come.

This is my 5th (or 6th) Hyundai, and Joe Ippolito in sales has negotiated each one. He asks what you want, what features, what price, and then calls back a few days later. Obviously I'm, satisfied, and refer family and friends to him as well. Consummate professional!!!

Outstanding Customer Service

Bought my VT about two months ago and Javier Romero was very helpful! He understood what I needed and suggested based on these needs. He was also very helpful in the whole financing process. As for the dealership, I just went in for my first service and it went very smoothly. They even gave my car a quick spray down to clean the outside it seems! Will definitely recommend this dealer and more specifically Javier!

Great experience at Towne Hyundai!

This was my first time at Towne Hyundai and it was the best experience I have had at a car dealership. I worked with Joe Ippolito and his assistants. He was able to get me out of my old Hyundai Elantra lease from another dealership and was able to get me into a brand new one at a great price. This was all done while making sure Hyundai would not charge me for any of the damage on my previous lease. Working with Joe made everything easy and I have never had such a stress-free and quick experience at a car dealership. I definitely recommend Towne Hyundai and Joe Ippolito to anyone who is looking to have a hassle-free car buying experience!

Terrible Customer Care Finance Department

Terrible experience with Finance Dept at Towne Hyundai of Denville. Loved my brand new 2012 Elantra but when I sold it 3.3 years later (May 2015) to Honda ( trade in) for a smaller commuter car (FIT), I needed to work with Denville Hyundai's Finance Dept for a refund of the "top of the line extended 10 year service warranty" that I had been strongly persuaded to purchase. I called prior to driving to the dealership to ensure there would be a finance Manager available who could assist me that day, as this was my second attempt since June 2015 to cancel the $1844.90 extended 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty for the Hyundai that I no longer owned. I arrived at the dealership and was told by the receptionist ( the same person I had spoken to over the phone prior to driving there) that the Finance Personnel would be busy all day and couldn't see me. I asked why I was told to come down today ? I then asked to speak to a Manager and the receptionist walked over to the Finance Office and then came back saying the Manager would be busy for a while. In front of prospective buyers in the showroom, I loudly advised her that I would wait because I had been told there would be someone with whom I could speak to and I was already an established Towne Hyundai client. The receptionist then advised the Finance Manager that I opted to wait. I wasn't going to drive home and start the process for the 3rd time especially after being told there would be someone who could speak with me. Immediately the Manager was free. Imagine that? I explained the scenario, provided all the required paperwork and was told ( on black Friday) to give the Accounting Office until Tuesday to start processing the request- It would ALL be taken care of. My paperwork was shoved in a bin on his desk and I was rushed out. The busy holidays overcame my schedule and I realized in January that I had never received a refund. I called the Accounting office on Jan 29th only to be told that they had no paperwork from me and that they are " Well Aware" that this happens all the time." I was instructed to get all New copies of the required documentation and come back to Hyundai for the Third time. I sold my Hyundai in May 2015. It is now February 1, 2016 and the process for the refund still has not been initiated by this location. Hyundai Corporate will be receiving a letter from me regarding the terrible customer service skills that the Finance staff Towne Hyundai Denville has. This is truly unacceptable. Update 2/4/16: I asked the Finance Director to have the General Manager or Owner call me directly regarding outstanding extended warranty refund issue (8 mos now) and am told they would more than likely not speak to me and that if the negative review I shared on FaceBook stays "So be it." Funny, I was told the Owner and General Manager " care about the reputation of the dealership and want to make sure my case was investigated and taken care of as expeditiously as possible." The policy was cancelled with the third party warranty company and instead of the dealership cutting a check directly to me and handling it " expeditiously", I will have to wait and see how long it takes Hyundai to receive the funds ( takes a month to be released from the warranty company.) This is the standard procedure. Seriously ? Will Hyundai of Denville " fold" over a $600 refund check?? The higher-ups who wanted this taken care of are Okay with this and will not call me? Do you not stand behind what you sell? You never know who could be or return as your next customer.
