Schumacher Chevrolet of Clifton

We recently bought an Equinox from Schumacher Chevrolet in Clifton. When we came in during the research phase they showed us the different models, explained the features and functionality, and basically sold us on the car. We then selected the configuration that we wanted and started search for the model. None of the dealerships has it, some dealerships were more friendlier than others, some refused even to negotiate (ironically it was sister dealership - Schumacher of Little Falls), and when we came to the Schumacher of Clifton. its salesman, Nick Franchini, did the research, found a car matching specifications, provided fair price, oversaw the entire process of delivering the car, obtaining the most favorable terms of the deal, coordinated the financing, and making the entire experience painless and easy for me. One week after walking into the dealership, my wife is a happy owner of a new Noxy, so I am a hero :-). I did not have a lot of experience with the dealership and read vastly different reviews. I will update the review with time.

Doug Markley was terrific. He listened to what I wanted and not only delivered but got me more than I expected. Delivery was within a few days of the promised date. Amazing! I will not hesitate to return to Schumacher at any time. I will also recommend Schumacher Chevrolet to my clients and friends.

I am overwhelmed by how wonderful Doug, Joe, Tom and the business mgr. were to work with upon the leasing of my Traverse! They gave me a great deal and dealt with me with much mutual respect and understanding. They showed the highest level of professionalism but in addition, really genuinely cared about the particulars of my situation as a new single mom. It was such a breath of fresh air to deal with such wonderful people! I very highly recommend this dealership, especially as a woman, when in the market for a new car. And, I adore my new Traverse! my first Chevy- but will not be my last!

I wish I searched for reviews of this dealership before otherwise I would have never stepped foot into this place. I went in to purchase a new car. When I had gone in I repeatedly stated that I had already placed an order for the vehicle at another dealership yet they continued to state they we can order the car I was looking for and get it quicker. Placed a deposit on the new ordered vehicle even though they did not have a build time and stated that if I do not take the vehicle they will return my deposit. This statement encouraged me to work with Schumacher Chevrolet. I decided that I would take the car from the first dealership that I ordered from, ultimately they would have the car quicker than Schumacher. When I called to speak to my salesman Anthony Egan he brushed me off and said he would call me back, which he never did. After my third phone call to Anthony, he forwarded me to the general manager. The general manager avoided giving me his name (Tom Healy) and then proceeded to attack me personally, asking what I did for living and asked if I knew what it took to work for a living. At which point, refusing to refund my deposit; exact quote, "You are not getting your money back". If this is their stance with customer service I will never go again, completely unprofessional. The impression I have is I was deceived into thinking that they were never going to work with me if my first order came through pretty much handing them a deposit that I would never give back. I will never step foot in this dealership again and will never recommend anyone to go here for anything. I put in a call with the Chevrolet Customer Care as a complaint to how this dealership operates and to get my deposit back. Issue is pending….

My experience was pleasant from the receiptionist who greeted me to the sales rep who sold me my lease to the manager who handled my paperwork. Nicholas was an absolutely wonderful sales person who was knowledgable, patient, willing to work with my budget and answer all of not only my questions but my mothers and father in laws as well and we sure had a lot of questions. He not only answered them throughly but with the patience of a saint. Working customer service myself it's not too often that I get to meet people who are kind and helpful and overall care about the customer at hand but Nicholas sure did. I didn't seem like a number to him but a customer which was nice. This was the first time I was leasing a car by myself and I felt like I was in good hands and I could trust what I was being told and trust in the facts and information I was being given. I 100% appreciate everything the people at Chevy did for me and I am so happy I got my car there, especially being a honda only person, I switched my beliefs and it was definitely due to the knowledge and friendliness of the people at your company in Clifton. Thank you again so much! I absolutely love my new car!

Ty was a great salesman who truly cares about his customers and listening to what they want and need. He was completely focused on making us happy from start to finish. Definitely a people person! Dan made the most tedious part of the sale, signing all of the paperwork, a pleasure. He was also very personable and had a great sense of humor. I received a very warm welcome when returning my lease. My salesman, John Cocciere at Clifton, was very pleasant and informative, as he had been when I had a lease with Crane. I was very pleased with the courteous shown to me by everyone at Schumacher. It was such a pleasure to be treated with personal care. My experience at Crane Chevrolet was great. My salesman Tom Rielly and the entire staff were honest and nice people. I bought my daughter her 1st new car. The price I was initially quoted for the down payment and monthly payment were exactly what was promised. There was no bait and switch as other dealers tried to do to me. Its refreshing to know there are still some honest and down to earth dealerships still in existence. Crane Chevrolet is one of them. You have a customer for life. When my youngest daughter turns 17 in 2 years I will be back.

Prior to coming to Crane I had visited various other Dealers of alternative makes - Ford, Toyota and Kia. Before even looking at Models - the environment on the sales floor was much, much better. Then, the actual attention received and Help from the Sale Professional - Angel Cartagena was excellent. A much better buying process as well. I would have no problem in recommending him, as well as Crane.
