Buying a car in a rush

Where do I begin...a few unexpected events led to the engine blowing in my car on Tuesday morning after being serviced all day Monday at another Kia location. I needed to buy a car that was very affordable in a hurry because I work long distances. While car shopping on Thursday and having to rush to buy a car I didn't know what was on the market I went to a couple dealerships. I ended my day at Burlington Kia, where my father and I met Jonathan Narine, a sales associate. We were immediately welcomed to the local and helped. After here my dilemma Jonathan was quick was finding everything that I thought I was looking for. We test drive a few cars, he explained all of the features, all of the mileage, every carfax, and any other concern that we had to make sure I didn't feel overwhelmed with buying a car in a hurry. That day we thought we had it narrowed down to the car that I would walk away with but at the time we couldn't agree on the price. Jonathan was nice enough to explained that with everything going on in the market I should be look at a different price range to feel comfortable buying a vehicle. I took a couple days and searched the internet for more information. After all of my searching I was brought back to Burlington Kia. Their prices were fair and after my experienced with Jonathan, I was determined to come back to this location and give him my sale for the perfect vehicle. The entire process was a relaxing and quick, from the moment I walked in looking for a car on Thursday to leaving on Saturday afternoon with a certified pre-owned 2019 Kia Forte S. I cannot thank Jonathan Narine and the entire staff at Burlington Kia enough. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of your help!!!

Unethical Sales Practices

This was the worst sales experience I’ve ever encountered. Alec was nice and answered all of my questions. However, when it came down to price, on a $50,000 car, we couldn’t agree on the last $250. I immediately had a bad feeling in my gut and I walked out. He said, “you’re going to walk out over $250?” And I said, “you’re going to let me walk out over $250?” So I left. After thinking about it further, I decided to go back and talk to Alec. He said, “let’s just split the difference and move on, $125 each.” I agreed. We went through all of the logistics...I sat there for over an hour going over paperwork, financials, and credit scores. When we were done, he said, “I need to confirm with my manager.” He came back and said, “my manager said I can’t honor the deal. We can’t split the difference.” I asked to talk to the manager, Joe Mazzaferro. I asked him why he wouldn’t honor the deal that his salesperson agreed to. He immediately, without provocation, became beligerent, and said to me, “you changed your mind; I changed mine. I don’t need to honor that deal.” I asked him for his business card, and he said, “I don’t have one.” I said, without raising my voice, “are you serious?” And he said, “of course I’m serious; why wouldn’t I be serious”? I asked him to write down his info then and he said “you know what? No, I’m not giving you anything!” I cannot believe someone in a position of management would treat a customer like that. The kicker is, I was planning on buying the Telluride even without the split deal, but his behavior was not only unprofessional, it was unethical and unacceptable. I would never recommend this dealership or anything associated with Joe Mazzaferro.

Absolutely horrible

The internet rep Hailey lied about the price of the car to get me in the showroom. When I arrived and offered full MSRP for the car, they tried to charge me $7000 over sticker price because it is a popular car. Absolutely horrible business and people !

Service at its finest

Hilda Martinez took care of me as soon as I walked in the door. She was very caring and helpful. She took her time and invested her full energy into helping me find the perfect car. At the end of the day, I got the car I was looking for and left the dealership very very happy and excited. I recommend anyone who is seeking a new vehicle to go see Hilda Martinez. You will not be let down! Best service I’ve experienced at any dealer.

Horrific

Walked into this dealership to turn in our lease and purchase a certified pre owned. Disregarding the usual car buying experience and time frame on the day of purchase, i would have liked to rate my experience 5 stars. But that changed after 24 hours after the purchase. Numerous small issues took place, like giving us the wrong tags, and finance asking us to come back because they forgot to have us sign important lending paperwork, leading up to a giant problem. The day of purchase was a rainy and dark saturday. A walk around inspection of the car could only do so much without proper conditions. But being that it was certified and knowing the vigorous checklist it takes to be certified we assumed we would be ok. Once the sky was clear we noticed a very unsettling flaw, a 4 inch gash through the clearcoat and paint, down to bare steel. So we called and arranged to have the damage looked at as well as finalize paper work, the apointment was for the thursday at 3pm following the day of purchase. We arrived and service told us their paint tech was not in today. So we rescheduled for the upcoming monday. Both days inconveniencing our work schedules. My fiance took a half day to take the vehicle up for inspection. Upon arrival service took the car back to look it over. Once that was complete the service tech informed her to have a seat and a sales manager will be with her to review and finalize the inspection. She then sat for 1 hr waiting for help, and never got any. After that time waiting she was forces to leave to go to work. No one called to follow up with her. The following day we called our lead sales rep Joe M. To make him aware of the situation and to rectify our issues. He proceeded to call us liars and say we only sat there for 20 minutes. Says to "come back and we will look at it a 3rd time, but small blemishes in paint aren't normally covered". I said "we arent looking to waste our time AGAIN why don't you get with your tech who inspected it the first time and let us know the next step". He proceeded to repeat "if its just a blemish" and "bring it back again" instead of listening to what we had to say. He then hung up the phone on us after we told him we weren't wasting our time coming back. I have work history in auto body repair, mechanical care, and have worked in auto sales. I can tell you this is serious paint damage that will rust the steel the 2016 car is constructed from over time if it hasn't already started to. And i can say of all the vehicles I've bought from the various different car dealerships, i have never been this mistreated, mislead, or angry. Burlington KIA and employees get a zero star rating from me and anyone im associated with.

Regarding my tag for my new Kia forte

I just want to say that I am having the worst experience on my purchase of my new car. I recently purchased a car from your company I contacted them two days ago because I never received my car registration for my new car and the temporary tag that was on it was expiring on May 30. When I contacted them on May 30 because I happened to see that it was going out of date I was told that because my tag is pa that it wouldn't come in until June 1. I had asked them if they can issue me a new temp tag and they told me no, when I said to them what happens if I get pulled over and get a ticket for it there response was they will pay for it. Today is now June 1 I have been riding around the last two days with an expired tag hoping and praying that I don't get pulled over when I called again this morning regarding my registration there response was that my license is expired and that it what is holding it up. When I bought the vehicle on May 11 my license wasn't expired and when I called 2 days ago no one ever mentioned to me that they need a copy of the new one. I can't understand why this is happening because before my license expired I had got my registation done for my motorcycle I own and had no problem then. Just a FYI my license didn't expire until May 25.

PEACE OF MIND IS PRICELESS XOXOXOX

In September 2012, I purchased my 2012 Kia Sportage at Burlington Kia with the assistance of LaKeith McCallum, Certified Product Specialist. Now, five years later, my son who is 21yrs old and who previously owned two (2) "death trap" vehicles, (Malibu & Jetta) not by mom's choice, now needs real working reliable vehicle that will fit into his payment budget so he can drive safely to and from college and work. I never had any issues or problems with my Kia Sportage (knock on wood) and since my visits to the dealership is always very warm, friendly and welcoming, the ONLY place that came to mind was Burlington Kia. Being a single mom raising 2 kids alone with only one income and paying out of pocket for my son's college education is extremely overwhelming, challenging, difficult and stressful so when I explained our situation to LaKeith McCallum, Certified Product Specialist and Manning Galazarza, Sales Manager as to what my son's monthly payment budget was, they understood our situation and went the extra mile to work diligently and effortlessly with us to meet our payment budget goal. Today my son is a happy owner of a 2012 Kia Soul. Piece of mind is priceless! Therefore, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to not only LaKeith and Manning for their professionalism, honesty, dedication and hard work in making our time there not a painful experience but a pleasurable one, but the entire Burlington Kia staff for the courteous and professional manner extended to me throughout the years and now during our recent visit and purchase. Prior to this purchase, and for the past five (5) years I ONLY visit Burlington Kia to maintain my 2012 Kia Sportage and I will continue to do so. I always appreciate the prompt, professional service I continuously receive and the complimentary drink, snacks and Wi-Fi is always a plus. This outstanding service and the little things provided as a customer, such as being in a friendly atmosphere is what convinced me to return to Burlington Kia for my son's purchase. No need to Negotiate, Great People, Fast Process,

Called in at 7pm spoke to Alec (Great Salesman) about a vehicle I saw online. It was too late to go in that late for me so we made arrangements to see the car first thing in the morning. Alec went in to work early to show me the car at 9am the next day. Test drive, visually inspected (great condition btw), paper work and was on my way home by 11am. Fastest car purchase I ever made. Notice I didnt mention negotiations on price, because price was below suggested retail. Alec did every step himself until signing the papers with financial officer. Great experience in a dealer I ever had. I also have to mention, I drove from The Bronx, NY best decision i could've made. The drive was longer than the process. Very satisfied & impressed with this dealer but especially with Alec. Will highly recommend

Don't buy a thing from Burlington Kia not even a coffee

this is the most shady obnoxious disgusting car dealership I have ever dealt with in my entire life they broke a key of mine and refused to replace it they were [non-permissible content removed] to the point that I had to call the police I brought a friend with me and she has never in her 55 years witnessed a car dealership like Burlington kia go elsewhere the service department had to be revamped because it was so bad you don't want to deal with the sales manager he's horrifying and acts [non-permissible content removed]. they sell cars to hopeless older senior citizens who don't have a choice because anyone who has a voice the brute force their way to try to get you to buy something with these horrible tactics everybody except Gary Gary should just run that place he's phenomenal everybody else should be fired and they should start again don't go here you will thank me later

TRICKS AND DISHONESTY

In my experience, these people are extremely shifty and dishonest. They used every nasty trick in the book. I caught them in tons of serious lies, and once I pointed this out, it was pretty clear from their guilty body language the lies were intentional, not a lack of knowledge. I drove a long way and they did not honor the guaranteed discount.
