Above and Beyond!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, my Wife and I were on an extremely time sensitive search for a very specific vehicle: a new(er) Blizzard Pearl White Toyota Prius. As it turned out, Volkswagen of Rochester had the exact car that we were in search of. On a Wednesday afternoon, we called to verify that it was still available, and ventured down from Maine. We arrived at the dealership roughly 30 minutes before they were scheduled to close. Even with our late arrival, we were not made to feel rushed at any point in the process. Chet Yung was the Representative that we worked with, and he was beyond helpful, from start to finish, and addressed every question/concern that we had; even though it was now 30 minutes past the time he was scheduled to leave for the evening. Keep in mind, this was not even a Volkswagen vehicle! Due to the late hour, financing was not available until the following day, so we placed a deposit and returned to Maine. Given that my Wife and I work completely opposite schedules, and we were currently down to a single vehicle, getting back down to Rochester proved to be near impossible. Two weeks went by, during which Chet maintained regular communication with me and assured me that we would make it happen soon. To make a long story short, Chet ended up going so far above and beyond any customer service that I have ever experienced; and I don't mean in the auto industry...I mean in any industry; ever. He arranged to have a fellow associate, Scot Kinville, follow him to our home in Maine on a Saturday, so that he could hand deliver our new Prius to our front door. My Wife works 7p-7a as a Nurse, so she was sleeping during this delivery. I signed my portion of the paperwork on the hood of the car, and was able to run upstairs and have her sign hers while barely waking her. I am still baffled, not only by the easy and fair purchase of our new vehicle, but even more by the way that Chet and Volkswagen of Rochester completely shattered my expectations of the car buying experience. Purchasing a vehicle from a dealership can often be a fairly unpleasant experience; this was the exact opposite. Thank you Chet, Scot, and Volkswagen of Rochester for making us 110% satisfied customers. I will never forget this experience, and plan to share it with anyone considering a vehicle purchase.

Does not live up to CPO commitments

I had previously posted elsewhere that the buying process was friendly and easy. This statement still holds true...the process of buying was easy. Sadly, how this dealership has handled an issue after the purchase has tainted the experience. After we purchased a CPO Touareg from VW of Rochester, we had a slowly leaking tire. Upon inspection, we found that the dealership sold us a vehicle with a plugged tire. The CPO program requires that all tires have "no damage." VW of Rochester has stated that a plugged tire is perfectly acceptable on a CPO vehicle, the same as it would be acceptable on a new vehicle. I spoke with VW Corp. and although they agreed with me on the issue, they have no recourse with an independent dealer. Needless to say, buying a certified vehicle and needing to replace tires in less than 45 days is unacceptable. I would not be complaining if I ran over a nail, hit a curb, or otherwise damaged the tire on my own, but the fact is that this dealership did not live up to what the VW CPO program promises.

Best Dealership I've Ever Experienced

I've been to a lot of dealerships and have even worked at a few. I know a good dealership when I see one. Volkswagen of Rochester gave me the best buying experience I have ever had. The Wissler family, Jordan, Dwight, Gayle, and even their amazing dog Clair, treated my wife and I better than we could have ever expected. Whenever walking into the dealership it feels like home. All the employees know us by name and ask to see how were doing each time we visit. Jimmy, Chet, and John are the most knowledgeable and honest salesmen I have ever dealt with. I know they treat each customer with the type of care they would want to receive. If you are looking for a dealership to help you with finding the right car and even helping to make it affordable please trust me and stop by and see the Wisslers. I know you will not be disappointed; I know my wife and I were glad we found them.

I love this dealership! They are so friendly and helpful they went above and beyond for me.I bought my daughter a Jetta to go to college with 7 hours away. They even went so far as to give her tips on learning to drive a stick.My best friend bought her two Jettas from them and boy was she right,great service.I highly recommend VW of Rochester!

It was a comfortable, no pressure experience. I was already a service customer and liked that aspect of the dealership. The salesman was pleasant and knowledgeable. Had a great route for a test drive. Everything was quick and easy.

Very Friendly, No Pressure Sales. I didnt even buy a VW from them, But the sales guys still knew some information about the car i had purchased. They also have great financing options even for used cars and work with you the best way they can.

Many thanks to Chet and J.T. for making one of my least favorite tasks (car shopping) pain-free! The whole process was low pressure and easy. I never once felt like I was being hustled or pressured to buy something I didn't actually need. I walked out of there with the car that best fits my lifestyle and needs. A really positive car shopping experience!

We had a very pleasant time at VW of Rochester. The sales staff were very knowledgeable & helpful. I had received many phone calls from the GM dealer I had conducted business with for many years to purchase a vehicle. After a test drive we did purchase the VW Passat and are very happy and left for Florida the next day and had a most pleasant trip. Having purchased two vehicles from this dealer, the sales team is courteous and patient. They let you take your time and do not pressure you into a sale. If you have a question, they are able to answer the question right then and there and were able to give details about the car and products offered. The finance manager was very respectful of my time and ensured that I understood the details of the purchase of the vehicle and the additional protection products that I was purchasing.

I went to another dealer before going to Rochester, salesman had no clue how any thing in vehickle I was test driving work and also could not give me a cash price so I left. When I got home I started looking on internet and saw Rochester VW,They had the color I wanted in stock, I sent them and e-mail to find out what they would do on a cash deal. they notified me very quickly with price , which was a lot less than other dealer. I set up a test drive the next day. I was very impressed with saleman on test drive, who could answer all my question about vehickle. I purchased vehickle and now have about 35,000 trouble free miles on it, I have been very impressed with service dept. doing check ups and oil changes. No run around just straight answer's. Thank you
