Nice place to do business

by ronalds3 on 04/09/2016

An automotive web site referred my information to the dealership, and they contacted me. They ended up giving me a much better price than any other dealership. I dealt with Shane, and he was very helpful, and very pleasant to deal with. Most importantly, he got me the vehicle I wanted at the best price I could have gotten. The dealership is located well over an hour from where I live, but it was well worth the drive. Overall, a pleaseant experience

Fairfield's gave me the best car purchase experience

by lokabi on 09/19/2012

A year ago I purchased a used 2008 Mazda5 and during the past year I have paid more for repairs than payments for that vehicle. I needed to get out of it but was over $7,000 upside down on my auto loan. Fairfield's was able to not only give me a decent trade-in value on my Mazda, but find enough rebates and deals on the new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport that I only ended up rolling over $700 from my Mazda, while still paying $3,000 less than sticker on the Outlander. When you purchase a vehicle, you know that the waiting period between walking in the door and driving away can be hours. Yes, I was there for about 4.5 hours, but it felt like the time just flew. Firstly, the sales team and finance crew were so incredibly funny and hospitable that we really felt at home. Aside from getting a free lunch out of the experience, I have never had so much fun making a big purchase like this. What impressed me right off the bat, was the fact that they would not let me test drive any vehicles until they could make the numbers work. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to my favorite part of car shopping, but when they told me their reason was because they didn't want me to fall in love with a car that they couldn't get me into - I understood and respected that immediately. So the numbers were crunched, the lunch was devoured and my cheeks were sore from laughing so much...and finally I got to drive the Outlander that had been specifically (and meticulously) picked out by their sales team just for me. Who was I kidding? No one would pick a better car for me than me. Boy was I wrong. It has everything I wanted in a car and it just fit. Suffice it to say I am grateful for what they were able to offer me, I've told all my friends about them, and will not hesitate to return for my next vehicle. I'm not lying when I say these guys are really amazing. I've been able to add 3 new friends to my Facebook account from the employees there, they really do care about long-lasting relationships. Special thanks to Rob, PJ and Katie, what a great team you are...can't WAIT to get my calendar, I'm sure it's embarrassing to say the least!!!

Dont go here. Not the place for honest people !

by j79z28 on 07/24/2010

I went to buy a new SUV and every old car trick was tried- They pressured me and wife to give them what our " monthly payment" needed to be before we decided on a vehicle type-- the question was like a mantra the sales manager kept sending the rep to ask -- and he finally said-- we really need to know what you want to spend a month so we can help you. I had to say if you need that so bad I will leave.. that was the only thing that made them back off. . They showed us dirty smelly vehicles ( seriously - we stopped a test drive because the 2009 SUV we drove was making us and the sales rep gag) and told us there were people lined up to buy them ( the pressure ploy- act now!) . They low balled me when it came to my trade in - having some gu walk up to my veicle and not even start or drive it- they offered $2,800 less then NADA ( the pricing standard they use) for the condition it is in). I had to keep telling them they were way too low and after 4 times they went up 1300 dollars and acted like it was a big deal. When we came to a deal on paper they sent me home for my registration for the Mitsubishi I had at home that I wasnt trading in so I could get the $1,000 customer loyalty credit. When I got home the rep called me and said now after we were done that the bank wanted $2,500.oo down. I said I was surprised to hear that as I was already with that bank and know where I stood with them and then it came to be that the "finance manager " decided she wanted it to make the deal work.. I said if I put down that money then it wont be what agreed on ... so they would need to do something else ..as I wasnt paying MSRP for that for the vehicle ( adding the $2500 put it back to MSRP)-- they were proud to try and low ball me on trade in.. force me to pay MSRP and lie to me that the bank required it. --- they lied and said we had a deal-- and then reversed at the last minute thinking we would tire--- but we walked away instead and had to firmly tell them no becasue they didnt get it . The response to us asking whay should we come back when they insisted we return was the old classic -- good news come on down and we will make the deal. I said what deal??? the deal that we already made or the one you are now trying to redo...?? The answer never came... Later after I refused to go back becasue of the tactic .. I was told well If the banks were open they would have made a better deal but this is just the one they can do .becasue its Saturday....after thinking the other was good to go the finance manager changed it. I asked them to withdraw my application and no longer seek financing as I was displeased at the poor attitude- and deceptive tactics- the employees who were doing test in the middle of the showroom and complaining all the time during our visit-- the "sales board" posted in plain view for all to see how many cars they were behind budget-- all should have been indicators we neede to leave before we started.. the sad thing is we really wanted that specific vehicle but just couldnt tolerate the dealership games... this was my 9th vehicle from a dealership and my worse experience ever. SAVE yourself from wasting time.. I lost 5 hours of my life I'll never get back. Dont go there.... I would drive 200 miles to another Mistubishi dealership before Id go back here! I could have sucked it up and paid to get the veicle that I wanted but I could not see ever having to deal with this dealersip for service or anything else for that matter. Mistubishi lost a loyal brand ??custoemr because they dont screen thier dealers for serice profesionalism or honest dealings... Because if they did thay wouldnt be in business... I guess too many people just give up and dont complain... ?? This place made every step of the process very unfavorable for the customer

Not an Honest Dealer!

by kwhiteside on 06/20/2010

My wife and I flew from Austin, Tx to pick up a car we paid 17K for from Keene Mitsubishi. The dealership insisted that I wire the money ahead even though I placed a deposit on the car. The car remained on their website as up for sale until the day after we picked it up. The car was advertised as having no visible damage. It was delivered to us at the airport in the rain, so the damage was camoflauged. We accepted that the floor mats were missing as was the owner's manual. The dealer dismissed as "Well, it is a used car." In truth the advertised "one owner car" was a repo (this was included in the paperwork given to us when we picked up the car). The next morning is when I noticed that 3 out of the 4 wheels were damaged. Apparently, the two front wheels had ate the curb on more than one occassion. When I contacted the dealer to let them know of the discrepency, they basically told me that I still got a good deal on the car and there was nothing they were willing to do about the deception. The photos on their website showed only the one good wheel and not the damaged ones. Their sales man even had me pay for the copy he needed of my driver's license, it was only 10 cents but does show a lack of customer service. I have little doubt that if someone else had offered them more for the car prior to my picking it up that they would have sold it from underneath me, leaving my wife and I with plane tickets and no reason to go. I filed a complaint with the BBB.
