Thompson Sales Car Buying Experience

onBest experience ever! Going car shoping has been a dreaded task in the past. I have had salesmen only allow me to see certain stock that was driven to me to see in a designated area. Another place the salesman wouldn't even talk to me about a certain car on the lot that sat there for months. He treated me like I couldn't afford or wouldn't qualify for a loan. This went on for weeks, finally I went to another dealer and bought a brand new Mustang. I will never set foot on that lot again. Those are just a few of my experiences and others tell me similar stories. Now I know who to recommend all my friends and family to. Thank you Thompson Sales for making my car buying experience a "JOY". Everyone I came in contact to was so accomodating, and gracious. I will never forget the treatment I received!

Over priced

onI went to Thompson quick lube for an oil change and tire rotation. I was a little taken back by the cost of service at $110. The service was good but felt the cost was excessive.

onWhen you go in (which we have many times over a lot of years) they find and report EVERYTHING bumper to bumper and tell you without caring how much you pay. The consumer doesn't have the knowledge what needs fixing and what doesn't, and they make it sound scary. When you go in for 1 problem and they find 3 more in addition. Be ready to spend $1000-$3000 a visit. There is little choice when the service engine light comes on; they have a monopoly. I'm talking about cadillacs. I'll never buy another and never there.

onI have never had a bad experience with Thompson's in the 12 years I've done business with them. My most recent experience was just as pleasant. My salesman Roy L. went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. I bought my first Cadillac from AJ, who is now is financing, so the entire time doing paperwork was a pleasure just catching up with an old friend. I have confidence that should and when I need service done to my new car I can count on Wes O. or Quinton at the QuikLube.

Thompson Sales Experience

onWe have purchased from Thompson in the past so have come to expect outstanding service. We dropped by the dealership on a cold blustery Saturday afternoon to look at at 2011 pre-owned Buick Enclave. Roy Line was our sales consultant and Roy showed us the car, let us take it out for a test drive, had our trade in evaluated and started the paperwork on the Enclave. While the paperwork was being prepared we wandered the showroom floor - looked at a CTSV and managed to keep our emotions in check. We also spent some time looking at a SRX and managed to not be tempted for the first two trips over to check it out. Roy asked us if we wanted to drive an SRX - we should have declined the invitation but Roy was so easy going and laid back about it - no presssure at all - that we said sure. Long story short: we are now the proud owner of a raven black SRX Premium. We don't want to offend all the Enclave owners out there - but WOW we love the SRX. Roy Line and Mike Wood (business manager) were superb to work with. A terriffic buying experience - yes we are both pleased. Go by and see Roy - he's a pleasure to work with - even if you change your mind and take home more than you intended ................ Roy did an excellent job explaining the features of both automobiles.

2011 CTS-V

onAs a self-proclaimed 'used car salesman' hater, I was pleasantly surprised at the experience with Thompson. I put off buying a car for over a year just because I didn't want to go through the normal high pressure sales. Adam Ragan was friendly, not high pressure, and answered all of our questions. Bonus items that made our time more pleasant with a 4 year old: play room and a fully stocked restaurant style refrigerator with snacks and drinks.

Amazingly Smooth Experience

onVery easy going and low pressure buying experience. The salesman did not use any of the typical used car salesman pressure that most other dealers do. They also took care of the little things that go a long way such as paying for the state inspection, filling up my tank, detailing the car, and checking tire pressures. The price for the car was fair. I also appreciated how the finance manager was not overly pushy when it came to the extras they try to sell such as the 3M coating, theftguard, etc. He gave me his opinion but did not argue when I said no. Lastly, when I pulled into the dealership I was not attacked by a group of vultures like most other dealerships. I started looking at the car and was not approached until I looked at several vehicles. The salesman was very patient with me and showed me several cars to help me with my decision. He was not pushy at all and seemed to understand exactly what I was looking for. Rather than pushing a more expensive vehicle he went with what I wanted (although my wife chose the more expensive vehicle on her own).

2010 Cadillac CTS AWD Purchase

onMy wife and I went to Thompson's to test drive the Cadillac CTS. We had never driven one, so we wanted to drive one, thinking of purchasing next year (2011). We drove a used one, thinking that was all we could afford. Long story short, we saw a new Tuscan Bronze AWD CTS. We thought it was out of our price range, but after getting down to business with Adam, it turned out, we bought it. I had made inquiry online about the CTS, Bobby Stevens contacted both me and my wife, as we had both inquired online. I believe I received an email in less than an hour and a phone call shortly thereafter. We worked out the deal with Adam Ragan because Bobby was busy when we first arrived. It was almost 7 P.M. when we left the dealership with our new CTS.

onI cannot express how happy I am with Adam Ragan and Thompson Sales. They were wonderful. My husband and I found the Yukon XL we had been looking for online. We are in Texas, so my husband flew to MO and when he got there the vehicle was just as they said. After dealing with many dealerships, Thompson was by far the BEST!!! I would 100% recommend Adam Ragan and Thompson Buick GMC Cadillac!

easiest buying experience ever

onWe visited 3 other dealerships in the area. This was our last stop of the day. We honestly told the salesman, Denny Cobb, that we were just there to compare their large SUVs with their competitor. Denny stood patiently in the blazing heat to answer our questions as we browsed. He never pressured us or became annoying as some of the salesman elsewhere tend to do. His knowledge of the vehicles inside and out was accurate and on our departure he wished us luck in our search. We ultimately returned to Thompson and made 3 visits to compare the Escalade with the Denali. Once we decided on the Denali, I was able to get our trade in appraised and the price quote for the vehicle within 15 minutes. The owner/manager, Tyler Thompson, came by to meet us both Denny and Tyler told us to take our time and that we could have as long as we needed to think about the purchase. We returned to make the purchase and within the hour we were meeting with Mike Wood, the finance guy. He was awesome, didn't push products and just "told us like it is". Delivery of the vehicle was organized and Denny went over all of the features of the car to make sure we understood. He also shared his cell phone number and told us to call him if we had any questions at all.
