Avoid this dealership at all costs

This dealership deserves 0 stars. I’ve had nothing but issues with my paperwork, vehicle, and all around experience. The dealership put the wrong name, address, and lien holder on my title then made it impossible to get it revised. In the time I had attempted to get this issue handled, I accumulated fees and tickets for expired temp tags. The dealership refused to pay any of it, trying to say this was my issue. I cannot revise a title, obviously. This has been an on going issue for months. Also had mechanical issues with the vehicle the day after I purchased it and had to fight tooth and nail to get it fixed. To top it off, the finance manager quit in the middle of trying to get my loan filled and I had to call every bank in my area to figure out who I needed to pay for my car loan. All the while, I’m trying to get ahold of my salesman, the general manager, and the dealership for assistance with no avail. Thanks Napleton for making my car buying experience absolutely awful, I love coming in 8+ times to try and fix your mistakes. Oh, and to the owner, maybe you should figure out why someone is requesting a check for late fees and tickets before you reject the request.

Car good-- Dealership Bad

I don't know if the employees at Napleton Mid Rivers Kia of St. Peters are lazy, incompetent or unethical, but what I do know is that this has been hands-down the worst experience I have ever had purchasing a car. On January 4th I contacted the dealership requesting information about the vehicle before I drove 3 hours to come see it in person. I had questions about the warranties since it was considered a certified used car despite it only having 10 miles on it. I was given false information about the warranties (still have what he said in writing). Ended up feeling pressured into purchasing two additional warranties that I had to actually turn in to the companies to get activated because the dealership (even after 6 weeks) still had not submitted the paperwork to the warranty companies. Salesman was more concerned with going out to celebrate his 21st birthday than selling a car- very unprofessional. Almost 3 weeks later I still didn't have any paperwork I needed to pay the sales tax or any statement, but that's because they ended up having to go with another finance company to get the rate I signed for the first night (without telling me) so when I drove back up the 21st to get my remote start installed I had to resign my paperwork. Also, the finance manager sent me a screenshot of my contract (along with almost 20 other names) waiting in queue for the bank to pick up our loans- some sort of account #, first & last names, bank info, etc. Hello confidentiality!? That same day I was supposed to get my remote start installed they loaned me a car so I didn't have to wait at the dealership but didn't message me until 4 hours later (a conversation I had to initiate) to let me know it wasn't getting done today & blamed it on the other company, stating they had had people not show up to work. I drove 3 hours to get this done, come to find out their whole explanation was a lie. When I called the company who was supposed to do the installation, they informed me that they did in fact have me scheduled & were ready to go at 11:00 like originally planned but Napleton never showed up with my car, then called 3.5 hours later asking why they hadn't come to pick up the car. Needless to say I was not happy that I had to be without my car for 2 days, then the salesman returned the car to me on empty (light on) & blamed it on the dealership, that they wouldn't allow him to fill it up. I had almost 3/4 tank of gas so there was no way it should have been on empty even if his story was actually true. It was still filthy & had a scratch on the front bumper that I had not seen before & with 400 more miles on it. It gets better though! After countless unreturned calls & text it was two days before my sales tax was due & I still didn't have the title & IDOD inspection needed. After a long, not to mention condescending conversation with their manager I finally got my title overnighted. I was starting to wonder if they even had a title for this to-good-to-be-true car from CA. According to other reviews I've read, the GM has taken that same tone and has also quoted his "I run a million dollar business" line to others as well. I then had to take a day off work to drive back up to the dealership, another 3 hours, because they never printed off the IDOD inspection. Actually, had to get it done again only to find out it had been done the first night. The sales manager told me prior to my drive back up there that the IDOD had to be done at the dealership where you purchased the car. According to the license bureau this was not true. The sales manager even "checked" to see if it had been done & came up with nothing, but what do I find out when I drive up there again? Wrong again- it was done the first night, no one bothered to print it off. All of this stress could have easily been avoided if Napleton Mid Rivers Kia of St. Peter's understood the meaning of professionalism, honesty, and communication. Actually, based off everything I've heard, I'm a little surprised there's not a class action suit against them.

We weren't necessarily looking to purchase a car that night but the friendly staff saw otherwise and our awesome salesman Blake Balkenbush helped us with our decision and made it easy and gave us a great deal that we just couldn't pass up. They play games with you and insult you and your family. They will do everything in their power to prevent you from purchasing the car you want. Kia is an excellent brand, they would be better off dumping this dealership. You have been warned. Shop here at your own risk!

I am beyond thankful to the amazing people at Napleton Kia!! They were amazing to me and my kids! I love my Kia Sorento and they were all kind and patient and gave me the opportunity to have a safe reliable vehicle for me and my kids when I wasn't sure it was possible! Thank you all so much! Great Deal on Black Friday

We had a great time at the dealership on Black Friday. My salesmen was awesome and made sure we didn't have to go out in the cold and was happy to run and get cars for us until we found the perfect one for my wife. Mike in the finance department was great and even the sales manager made it a point to stop in and thank us for our business. My kids will be in the market soon and we will be sure to bring them here. Best car buying experience ever. Thank you!

Napleton KIa- Check your paperwork for errors!!!

I bought the above referenced kia on 6/22/15 at Napleton Mid Rivers Kia in St Peters, MO. WE test drove a optima and my wife decided she wanted a similar model in red. So the dealer procured the red kia from another dealer while we waited.. We started doing the paperwork in the office when i noticed that the VIN number did not match....the dealer was processing the vin number of the car we test drove. I pointed out the error and the correct paperwork was processed. Two days later I had to drive to the dealer to get the title so i could license the new kia. I went to the motor vehicle office here in troy MO and did all that was required. I thought everything was right until 12/8/15 when my wife was hit head on by another vehicle, breaking both her legs, the new kia was totalled. We had full coverage plus GAP insurance so I thought we were covered. On 12/16 I started to process the paperwork to transfer ownership of the car to our insurance company. Then I found the mistake, made by the dealer. The dealer gave me the wrong title, they gave me the title to the vehicle we test drove. So on the 17th of december i went to the dealer. The finance guy blamed the office girl michelle. So i went and saw michelle and she said it would take 3-5 days to fix this. I called yesterday, 12/31/15 and it is still not resolved! I cannot get paid by the insurance company or get the GAP money without a valid title!! The dealership created this problem yet the finance guy has never called to see if it was resolved, neither has the manager of the dealership. This needs to be resolved ASAP!! I will never buy a KIA again nor will i ever do business with a Napleton dealership. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau next and whoever will listen. PLEASE FIX THIS!!! Old School "GOTCHA!" ; Buyer Beware

Went to this location because of previous good purchase experience when it was Zeiser. It's now Napleton. Big difference. This time, we (2 buyers/owners/borrowers) bought a 2015 Kia (used) in 2015. Received only one key and no owners manual after closing. New key can ONLY be obtained from the dealer (not from a locksmith) at an immediate cost of several hundred dollars "GOTCHA!" Guess we figured a Kia dealership would take better care of a Kia customer buying a late model year Kia. (Wife complained; got no response). Also, while waiting for sales figures, we were repeatedly asked to sign closing disclosures (we refused), but apparently this is business as usual, too. BBB complaint filed on missing items.
