I am very impressed with our recent purchase of a CPO 2018 Volkswagen Jetta. First, the car was immaculate. It had been detailed and polished. Even the wheel wells and engine bay looked like new. It had been fully serviced with a full tank of gas and proper air pressure in the tires. Second, Mike Smith, our salesperson, was knowledgeable, helpful and would do anything we would ask. We looked at several cars and he made each available without pause. Thomas Drinnon in Finance was equally helpful and professional. There were no hidden gotchas or extra charges. Very straightforward and professional. So far, liking the car a lot. Will come back for all service as they have expertly handled my Hyundai.

Helen Perry was very helpful. She met us at the door and was very pleasant. Helen took the time to find out what we were looking for and didn't pressure us to buy something else. She was knowledgeable about the vehicle and pointed out all of the extra features. Helen was very efficient and answered our questions with confidence. She was upfront about the condition of the vehicle and showed us the carfax report. This is the second Volkswagen we have bought from Northtowne Volkswagen and will be back to buy our next one from Helen as well. We highly recommend Helen Perry as a wonderful salesperson.

great car buying experience

Jerry was great at communicating updates (via phone call & text message!) about my car throughout the car-buying process. He went over all the features of the car with me and pointed out many things I wouldn't have noticed myself! He made sure the car was in the cleanest condition possible and gave me a rental car to use as a convenience when it needed touch-ups not available the day I purchased it. Overall, it seemed he tried to make the process as seamless and easy as possible. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and help!

Great Experience Purchasing my Beetle Convertible

I had an outstanding sales experience with Jim Best! I visited the dealership a total of 3 times and took a number of test drives. Jim was nothing but helpful and accommodating. Never a sales pitch, never felt pressured, but always felt assured that he would answer any of my questions quickly and professionally. When we agreed upon a price, there were no surprises and the actual purchase was a breeze. No hard sells of unneeded extras from Lynn Gronniger. She was efficient and friendly. My son found "his" car on the internet and both of us met Jim B. at the Northtowne Volkswagen dealership the next day. Jim was completely upfront about the process, pros and cons of the vehicle (it was used), and we felt absolutely no pressure. The test drive was easy to arrange and he was fine with our going out alone for a short drive. The next day we returned and had the best automobile purchase experience I've ever had. He and my son, Michael, negotiated a price that both were happy with and after the documentation was signed and paid for Michael drove off in his "new" car. He commented to me afterwards that the buying experience was a lot easier than he had been expecting and this is directly attributable to Jim B. He knows his stuff, is both friendly and professional, and I will have no hesitation recommending him to anyone who asks. Many thanks to Jim and the staff for a great buying experience!

We recently purchased a Certified Volkswagen EOS convertible at Northtowne Volkswagen. This was not our first rodeo nor was it our first vehicle purchase. In fact it is the latest in a long line of purchases and leases over about 40 years. This may have been one of the easiest and most transparent processes we have experienced. Our experience was outstanding from the start and was completed efficiently and in an atmosphere that made us feel comfortable and appreciated. After explaining what we were seeking our sales professional,Trey, helped us locate and test drive the vehicle that met our needs. After returning from the test drive we asked for a price including an appraisal for our trade. That result was provided in about 20 minutes. The price offered was fair and within our budget expectations. After agreeing to the purchase it took about 45 minutes to clean and prep the car for delivery. During that time we completed the paperwork with Lynn. This, too, was handled in a professional and efficient manner. The paperwork was explained thoroughly and with great care. There was never a long wait between any of the steps. We are both retired educators and we would give both Trey and Lynn an A+ for their service to us. Our experience buying a vehicle at Northtowne Volkswagen is what at the purchase experience should be. It was courteous, professional, and efficient. And, it was all handled in a transparent and welcoming environment. Best of all we love the car. We anxiously are awaiting some serious convertible weather!

I purchased my 2013 VW Beetle from Northtowne because of my previous experience there. Grant W., as well as Trey H. both made contact with me both before & after the sale. My new Beetle was ready when I arrived with the new splash guards & spoiler installed as I had requested. What more could you as for? I appreciate their patience as I pondered over which Beetle to buy. I won't hesitate to come back & to advise others to do the same! Now all I have to do is enjoy my sweet ride!

Jim B. introduced himself on the lot without coming off as a pushy car salesman (that was my experience at Thoroughbred Ford). He helped me navigate the large inventory and offered to drive us down to the extended lot to view other vehicles. He was polite and respectful to my mother, and had no problem waiting until my father returned from business travel to start next steps. I returned to Northtowne on Jim's day off. His finance manager assisted us while Jim was away. I received a bad quote from a saleswoman at Molle VW down South. Jim worked with me to get a fair price on the car I wanted, even though it wasn't his dealership who made the bad quote. Additionally, he was able to combine 0% financing with a fair price and an above fair price on my trade. Overall, these people are great to work with. Jim is also ex-military.. is shows in his character. This is the first vehicle I have ever purchased, and as long as the vehicle's performance meets my expectations, I will return to Northtowne VW in the future.

I have bought two cars from Northtowne VW. The first time I had just gone back to work after a lengthy time of being out of work. My old car was shooting craps and I needed reliable transportation to get back and forth to my new job. VW had a sign and drive promotion. I went to one dealership and they asked me if I was serious or if I was "just yanking our chain" I was treated like crap and left and went to Northtowne the next day. I explained my tight money situation at the time and they suggested a Jetta S. It was a perfect car for me and very inexpensive because of the great lease deal. Grant W.e the Sales Manager put together a great deal for me with no BS and I bought the car. It was a great car. When the lease was about up, we went back and dealt with Henry L. Between he and Grant, they put together another great deal. We also purchased a new Chevrolet truck the same day. Night and day between Northtowne and the Chevy dealer. Chevy dealer: Here's the keys, read your owners manual and call us if you can't figure something out. Northtowne: It was a very hot day and Henry spent over 30 minutes going over the car with my wife making sure she understood how everything worked and answering all her questiions. We are now ready to buy our third car from Northtowne in 4 years. If you want a fair deal and no BS, they are the place to go. Also their service department is excellent too. Overall these folks have Custormer Serivce honed to a fine art.

One of the best Sales Experiences

Early in 2011, my Wife and I starting looking for a smaller SUV. She wanted something that was "zippy" but had a lot of high quality features and accessories. We looked at a number of them (Mazda, Ford, etc.) and they all looked nice, but my wife hated looking because it took so long to get price estimate. Dealing with the sales departments, then getting introduced to the boss, then the bosses boss was just a pain. All we wanted was a price estimate. After several months of looking, we decided to look at the VW Tiguan. We went to the dealership and the Sales Rep (Jim) greeted us at the door. He had us look at a few vehicles and we even went to a few other dealerships they have to decide on which my wife liked. She zeroed in on the Tiguan and eventually told me this was the car she wanted. I asked the sales rep for an estimate and he introduced me to the GM, Grant. This was absolutely the smoothest process I have ever seen. We had a trade in value and a price within 15 minutes. We left the dealership, discussed it and called them back to accept the offer. The following day, we went in, did the paperwork (ready for use to sign), went through the cars features, and drove off within an hour. The whole time I was in shock because it was so easy. Follow up has been great (phone and web) and the Service Dept. has worked well so far... I would highly recommend this dealership...

Worst Dealer to buy the car - very dishonest

I had worst experience of my life buying a VW EOS convertible for my wife. I had worked out and finalized the deal with the VW sales mgr Grant White. But when I went to the dealership to buy the car along with my wife, he changed the terms of the deal that I had worked out before with him. There was a small paint damage which was new to them as we also didnt know about it but it wouldnt have costed more than $ 500 to fix it. He used it as a primary excuse to reduce the trade in of car by $ 1000. And then also lowered the mileage of lease to 12 k from 15 k that I had agreed with him to earn more money from me. I never have had such a flimsy sales experience in my life and left with such a bad taste from the dealership with my wife whom I had promised the car!! Add to that he is such a glib talker that he will try and sell you a 2009 instead of 2010 in front of your wife to earn more money. He will also give you a assurance which looks fake in the voice itself but you might believe it wrongly as I did. Never trust this dealership and never ever trust this sales manager if you are looking for a good deal and also a long term relationship with a dea
