onThey tell you they have the car you are looking for and then try to change your mind to what they have in stock. Went to Legends instead...VERY HAPPY!

Failed to keep their promise

onI recently ordered a vehicle with this dealership using their dealer trade program. Prior to giving them my 500 dollar deposit I reconfirmed all costs, rebates, interest rates, and trade amount. When the vehicle arrived and we did final sale review they surprised me by saying they failed to inform me they couldnt include the low interest rate because it wasnt in the promise . They gave me a choice either 1200 rebate or low interest rate. I told them I wanted the low interstate and didnt care if they did or didnt discuss the 1200 rebate, the promised price included all rebates with the low interest rate. They wouldnt make the sale and put the sales representative in a predicament to give me the bad news. On his behalf I realize that he did his best, He confirmed all numbers with the gsm prior to us ordering the vehicle , he did an awesome job. To make it worse, the gsm let us leave without trying to fix the deal, making it poor service to a customer and bad business. He didnt even say goodby and apologize for his miscalculations. At end result I wouldnt think a dealership of this size would try to make us pay a high interest rate even when we qualify for their lowest rate, this is an old trick to get customers to pay higher interest rates to overcome costs. If your going to buy from this dealer, becareful, make sure everything is in writing and make sure you double check your credit rate and interest rates. They broke their written promise with me. Very bad business.

onOverall our experience with Jay Wolfe was positive, Jennifer was persistent but not pushy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was that there was a bit of a lag in getting a final value on our trade. All aspects of the transaction were relatively smooth from the initial test drive to working with the finance manager.

onGreat customer service from start to finish. Kids play area was a bonus. The snack bar with complimentary food and beverages was also a welcome addition. Overall this dealership was a unique experience in terms of customer service and ease of vehicle purchase. Definitely sets the standard and I would prefer to purchase another vehicle from this dealership when the need arises.

onHorrible experience with this dealership! Be aware of their bait-and-switch practice!! I contacted them online for quote on new Camry SE and got reply from Ms. Olivia W. (Internet Sales) with a few listings, including a new 2014 Toyota Camry 4dr V6 auto SE at $22,092. I immediately made an appointment. On the day, she contacted me to confirm the appointment, and I requested specifically to see this car. Then she replied Now the 2014 Toyota Camry's are going to be a little bit more expensive because they just came out. The silver one you are looking at more around $29,200. If you are wanting a 2013 they are going to be around the $22,000 dollar. I'm sorry that the email showed a 2014 but it's actually a 2013. I assumed it to be a V6 but still specifically asked do you have a 2013 Camry V6 SE at $22,000, which she replied with a list of I4 at $22,000. I realized that there was probably no V6 at the price, and cancelled the appointment. However after half an hour, her manager, Ms. April W. (Internet Sales Manager) contacted me to say it seems to be a miscommunication and invite me to call her personally, which I did. She told me on the phone that there was a new 2013 Camry V6 for $21,367. I specifically asked to make sure it is a V6 and she said yes, before we decided to drive 50 minutes up there from Olathe. In the dealership, the car we talked about became a base I4 SE that was brought to us. We immediately pointed it out, and showed them the quote. The V6 was brought to us, then the sales person disappeared for a long time. We sit there for over 90 minutes, and the sale staff offered us various base I4, which we all immediately refused. Eventually, after all their efforts failed, a few minutes before the dealership closing at 8PM, the General Sales Manager, Moe Z. appeared, and said the original pricing was a miscommunication (never acknowledge it to be a mistake), and that it was not their fault. We were very displeased and argued the time we wasted (travel and waiting) because of Ms. W. and Ms. W.s confirmation, and brought up the term bait-and-switch, to which he sharply replied that we should get an attorney and that his dealership has high ratings in Toyota Finance, and walked away. If they acknowledge the initial to be a mistake, we would (and initially did) accept it as an error, but their subsequent behaviors, including contacting us to renew our cancelled appointment under explicit confirmation, and all their efforts to sell us I4 (they never got us a single quote for V6 the whole time we were there). I do not know how to interpret their unsavory action other than bait-and-switch. Be very aware and avoid this dealership!

April Wells deserves a raise!

onWe would not purchase through our hometown dealer due to prior unfortunate experiences. April Wells is the Director of Internet Sales at Jay Wolfe in Kansas City. After we found the features we wanted, she located the auto, even in the color my wife wanted. Her first offer was very favorable. April always responded quickly to our emails. When we picked up the car, we told her that her boss should give her a raise. The car was exactly what my wife wanted. The closing agent was very low key, presenting ideas and accepting our answers. A sales person stayed with us engaging in pleasant conversation until the closing agent was ready. After completing the details, the sales person answered questions and demonstrated features of the auto. Overall the experience was ideal; all details completed before we ever visited the business. Highest recommendation if you purchase through April Wells via the Internet. It was the most enjoyable auto purchase we have ever made.

onSales manager played this out like this was buying in the 1970's. The environment felt less like a contemporary organization and more like one of a "wear you down" strategy. It came from the management side, not the sales staff side. I know that car sales are down but I was shocked at how negative the environment was there. The person that worked with electronically was helpful, the sales person that I worked with was helpful, the sales manager was...well an anachronism. If you go, be prepared to battle. My heart goes out to the sales staff under the leadership of this place. I can't believe that I bought a vehicle from them several years ago and a sister dealership as well. I guess some things de-evolve.
