The folks at Northtowne Mazda know how to treat people right. Our entire experience was fantastic. Gene Barnett exceeded our expectations in every way. He was extremely knowledgeable and gracious in answering all of our inquiries and requests. No pressure, no games. Just a great deal on a great car. We are so happy with our new Mazda3 hatchback. This single-point Mazda dealer is able to provide dedicated, personal service almost-always missing from large multi-line dealership facilities. The relaxed, casual atmosphere and personal service provided by salesman Gene Barnett and Business Mgr. Tim McGeeney is unmatched in my experience. I can't say enough about how enjoyable this experience was... No noise, no normal dealership chaos, no high-pressure nonsense. I walked in at 8:30 and was done by 10:30. They did a good deal on my trade and the car had more than expected. The end price was pretty much what I was looking for. No haggling and the paperwork was done quickly with no push to purchase a ton of extras. They were offered but not thrown down my throat. Clean dealership, service area looks great. The agent (Gene Barnett) will have his card in my wallet for sure.

My husband and I were dreading the thought of having to start the car buying process because it has been such a long time since we had bought a car and didn't know what to expect. From the moment we met with Jason Chandler, it has been an experience that has gone beyond our expectations. The morning we went in to meet with him, he had three cars pulled for us to look at in a warm garage, which was a big deal because it was very cold outside. We really liked the car we took on a test drive. Jason's service was very professional and he gave us referrals to other services we were needing as well. We used the next week to make a decision on the car. He didn't pressure us during this time, and came down on the price to a point that was doable for us. He also worked with us during this time to answer any questions we had. We came back a week from when we first stopped by and bought our CX-9. We recommend Northtowne Mazda to anyone looking for a car in the KC area, it is a business that is well-run.

Shopping at this dealership is like shopping or "buying" from a neighbor that know you well. They are friendly, honest, and just plain ole nice. You dont feel like you are shopping for a car. You feel like shopping for a new family member that will take care of you for a while, that's your car if you were wondering. Steve never pushed, intimidated, or even said if you dont buy now blah blah. nope none of that Come here to be treated like a neighbor and go home with your shiny new family member

My wife and I have purchased 5 Mazdas over the past 4 years from Northtowne Mazda sales representative Gene Barnett and I cannot recommend him high enough! We have come to view Gene as a friend and always look forward to talking with him--whether be in person, email, or phone call. We have also enjoyed the way other staff members at Northtowne have treated us so I'm sure one will be treated well no matter who you deal with at Northtowne Mazda. We live near Omaha and we have dealt with many Omaha and Lincoln dealerships over a period of many years and, none can come close to the satisfaction we feel with our Northtowne Mazda purchases, shopping, or simply calling for pricing or with questions. For us, it is certainly worth the trip to KC for a new Mazda.

Gene Barnett made me feel welcome, listened to my needs and put no pressure on me to purchase. I had already done my research and yet the knowledge he had about Mazda and other vehicles was impressive. I knew exactly what I was looking for and when I found it at Northtowne Mazda, I did not have to do much "wheeling and dealing" because Gene knew the incentives and gave me the best deal of any other offers in which I couldn't refuse. When I started my car-searching process, I was absolutely nauseous at the idea of having to deal with a car dealer. It's stressful having to deal with questions and negotiating a price. But, I was absolutely impressed by how Northtowne Mazda took care of me. Gene Barnett - that's my guy. He was such an expert to work with during this whole process and so down-to-earth and easy-going. I drove out with a brand new 2016 Mazda CX-5 when I was planning on getting a 2015 but I couldn't believe the price they were able to give me for that car!!! The price they gave me for my trade-in was realistic and not some petty cash offer! Rebates were great. No hidden costs. And the financing was great!!! There was never any push or shove. They were realistic with me, gave me the numbers line-by-line, and let me think it over. I dealt with them via text, email, in-person and phone. All of those times, they were prompt to reply and easy to talk to. Tim, the finance manager, explained things thoroughly and walked me carefully through all the paperwork. This is so helpful when you're about to spend such a large amount of money. I will never forget how wonderful they made this what-I-imagined-to-be extremely stressful experience. And what was even better is that everyone there was relaxed and patient and extremely personable (Jason) - even to me, as I kept on coming back to test drive the cars 3 times!!! The sad time came to part with my old SUV but the thought of the hassle and dealing with the "little guy in the back room" was more than I wanted. My husband had purchased a Mazda from Northtowne Mazda last year so I just called on his salesman, Gene Barnett. Our experience last year, the ease of the process and the fact that no one tried to tack on a lot of extras was just what I wanted. Pick out a car, sign a paper and drive away. So that is what I did and we are now a 2 Mazda family. This is the way car buying should be. A calm, friendly experience that allows you to enjoy the process. Gene was more than "just a salesman"l and helped me find a car within my budget but meeting all my needs. The entire staff is friendly, helpful, competent and only interested in making the outcome good for all. We dealt with Gene, Tim McGeeney and Tom Hinken. Good job all around.

I just purchased (today) a new 2015 Mazda CX-5 AWD Grand Touring from Northtowne Mazda. We met Jason Chandler at the KC Auto Show over the weekend and was impressed with him there so I had high expectations for him. Jason did not disappoint me during any part of the car looking and purchasing process. Jason has to be the hardest working car salesperson any where! He was patient (showed us multiple vehicles), extremely informative and knowledgeable, not pushy at all - we actually had FUN working with him. He answered every question and even helped me with issues regarding my trade-in. I vote Jason for salesperson of the year if Mazda has such a thing. Tim, who handled the paperwork process, was also great to work with. No complaints, only high recommendations, for Jason and Tim at the Northtowne Mazda.

Similarly and as expected, I experienced the same level of professionalism, courtesy and no-nonsense treatment from Jason Chandler, who I dealt with this time around when I recently leased the new Mazda6. We knew we wanted a Mazda CX-5 before we ever visited Northtowns Mazda and after Ryan Lopez let us test drive the one we wanted, we were sold on it! Ryan was not pushy or high pressure in his sales tactics, just helpful in answering our questions. We waited a couple of weeks, however, and when we decided to make an offer on the one we wanted, Ryan took our offer to his manager and came back within a short time with an acceptance of our offer! The Customer Service representative drew up our paperwork quickly and was very patient, even though it was near closing time on a Saturday night. I LOVE my CX-5!! It is so much fun to drive--the accelleration rate is awesome and it handles well in rain and snow, which is why I wanted an AWD vehicle. It has more features than I ever imagined. I especially love the back-up camera, the blind spot monitors, and the HD radio. I couldn't be happier with another vehicle!

Don't usually take the time to write a review, but Northtown Mazda is worth taking the time. Really great experience on all fronts. Relaxed atmosphere and low pressure approach. Mazda has a great lineup and they let the product do the talking. Purchased a 2014 Mazda 6. From test drive through negotiation and financing, everyone treated me with respect and did not use sales tactics or corny pitch approaches. Almost no up-selling on any aspect of the sale. Tom H. was great to work with on the price and I felt I left with a very fair price for my trade-in and price on the new car. Made an appointment to fill out paperwork and complete deal and the finance guy had me through all of this in about 30 minutes. It actually went too fast and I had to wait about 30 additional minutes for them to finish prepping the car. I had visited the dealership earlier in the week to purchase some mats for my son's Mazda 3 and the service staff was helpful and really friendly. They didn't have to be, I wasn't there for anything special but they went out of there way to answer questions and introduce me to the staff. Can't say enough good things about Northtown Mazda, it was a refreshing experience compared to most dealer encounters I have had.

I must say, for the first time in years, I had a great experience at NorthTowne Mazda. This is my third Mazda purchase and this was by far the best! I stopped after work and looked at the potential purchase, the salesman did a quick glance of my car and I was off. 20 minutes tops. We then conducted the rest of the "wheeling and dealing" via e-mail and text. There wasn't much wheeling and dealing, since they actually were exactly where I wanted them to be for both the sticker and my trade. Overall, an A+ experience! I will definitely be recommending not only Mazda's to friends, but the Northtowne Auto Group to anyone in the market.

The deal: Upfront caveat: We negotiated the deal on the last day of the month, right at closing time. Keep that in mind, as those can be motivating factors for the dealer not to screw around too much when negotiating. Negotiating a car deal is always fun, but it can sometimes be exhausting if it's necessary to send the salesman back and forth to the sales manager 5 or 6 times just to get them in a realistic ballpark. I didn't have to do that at Northtowne Mazda; in fact, their first offer came in at a trade difference I was willing to pay based on my previous research on the value of my trade and the price of their car. Nice. That means anything else I can get from them is gravy. In the end, we got them to come down a bit more and throw in some oil changes. Paperwork and delivery: Mazda was offering special financing. The paperwork was ready quickly and I was able to get it signed in short order. The car was delivered freshly washed and with a full tank of gas. We owe: The car had a damaged trim piece that they ordered and received within a week. It was also missing a key fob, which may take some more time to receive since this is a brand new model from Mazda.

A big thank you to Northtowne Mazda. Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. Truly a no-hassle experience. We stopped to test drive a new CX-9. After talking to the salesman and telling him we were interested and would like to come back another day to negotiate, he informed us he would get us a fair trade-in and a no-hassle price on the new CX-9. When we returned a few days later they kept their word. After a lot of research, I walked in with a number that I thought would be a better than average deal. Northtowne made an offer within a couple hundred of my number. Truly a no-hassle environment and a great buying experience.
