Everyone at ELCO was nothing short of excellent; Dylan was extremely kind, helpful, and efficient helping us find the vehicle that we wanted very quickly. He was informative, truly had our best interest, and was available for any questions we had anytime throughout the whole process. Cracked wheel on 2019 Corvette Stingray

ELCO identified and replaced a cracked wheel on my 2019 Corvette Stingray. The replacement wheel was not readily available from Chevrolet parts but after 3 months and 3 bad replacement wheels, they got a good one in and installed. They were very courteous during the whole ordeal.

back window service

After pay for the extended warranty when buying the truck, I was told that the seal on the back window was not covered under the warranty. Also does the seal only last about two years. I was told that I could get the back glass replaced for about $600 or call a glass co. that the service dept. recommended could replace the seal at a cost of $200. The glass co. has not returned my call.

DO NOT USE ELCO SERVICE

*DO NOT* trust ELCO Service. I took my 2014 Silverado to have the Shark Fin Antenna repaired because it leaked. They happily took my $500 and said it was fixed. I did not drive the truck for a while because I had a take home car. But, after a rainstorm, I drove it and the leak was still there. I again took it to ELCO and they detected a leak. The mechanic asked Mike B. if the last tech put on sealant and Mike B. said he had. Then, Mike B. told me it would cost an additional $500 to fix the leak. I took the truck to another repair shop. They saw NO SEALANT and the ORIGINAL SHARK FIN. After the sealant was applied, no more issues. How dishonest can ELCO be. CAVAET EMPTOR: ELCO WILL LIE TO YOU!

Re-Sold Car I Bought To Someone Else!

I bought a car over the phone on Saturday morning because I live 30 miles away and I'd been to the dealership twice already. The salesman told me we had 'locked it down' and the car was mine and asked that I wait until Monday to pick it up so he could get the commission because he would be off work. I agreed to this and Monday morning came and I received a phone call from another salesman telling me they sold my car to someone else and I'm just out of luck. What a horrible experience from start to finish. I made 2 prior offers on this car at the dealership and both times I was walked out the door without even getting a counter offer. A few weeks later the car price was lowered on autotrader to only $500 more than my original offer. So I emailed them through autotrader reiterating my offer. A sales person called me and we closed the deal over the phone. For whatever reason their manager decided they don't want to sell the car for that much or to me and cancelled the order with me. I do not believe they really sold it because the car is still listed on autotrader for sale! This was a gift for my pregnant wife who is now very stressed out and upset for no reason. Buying a car is supposed to be a great experience and a happy time. These guys jerked me around then jerked the sale out from under me. Unacceptable guys, there is no excuse for this.

Don't Waste Your Time

I would give them a no-stars but that is not possible. We have been on the hunt for a new Chevy Traverse. They had a model with the style we wanted so we stopped by for a test drive. Everything was friendly enough when we walked in, lots of smiles and hello's. I thought this was great and seemed like a more of a 'family' business then a big car dealer. After driving the Traverse we came in to talk price. The salesman wrote down a price, factored in some current GM discounts and gave us the final number. It was thousands higher than a number we were given at Jim Butler the night before (the problem there was they didn't have the style I wanted and it wasn't arriving until Monday.) We explained that to our salesman, who immediately logged on and started looking at Butler's website with and significant change of attitude. My husband gave him a price that we would like to start with and he stood up while my husband was speaking to talk to the manager. My 8 year old daughter even commented, "that man was ignoring you Daddy". The manager came over and said good luck, I'll applaud you if you can get a better deal. Basically the feeling we got was of being "thrown out"!! I understand that everything is a negotiation but their unwillingness was shocking! I'm happy to say we went to another dealer- Weber Creve Coeur worked with a fabulous salesman named James Duckworth and are now the proud owners of a 2015 Traverse LT! Please save your hard earn dollars and your time and go to a dealer that knows how to treat customers, even if you don't come to an agreement. In this day and age, I believe in treating people with respect and really just didn't feel respected after leaving this dealership.

they was ok but....

bought my first new vehile ever in 2012. went to Elco. the sales man seamed ok. but after we talked and got the total price i said i wanted to think it over. then they got a bit pushy. before i knew it i was in a room with the financing officer doing paper work. it may be my fault for not saying stop but being this was the first time i have purchased a new vehicle i was a bit overwhelmed

Disappointed in Service

Really disappointed. I bought my used car from Elco 2.5 years ago. They did a tour of the service rea and encouraged me to return to have my maintenance done with them. Even though it is out of my way I have done so, with no problems. I went in for an oil change today. When I got the car back the "change oil" digital message was still there. I called to ask how to remove it - this hadn't happened before. Shaun, the person I spoke to, told me that I needed to call the manufacturer and ask them how to do it because it wasn't a Chevrolet. When I explained that it hadn't happened before I was told that then I had got lucky with a technician who knew how to do it, and the technician today didn't. When I asked if he could find out he told me again to call the manufacturer or take it to a Chrysler dealership. I asked him why I should continue to bring my vehicle to Elco for maintenance if this was their attitude. He told me it wasn't their problem. I called back to speak to the Service Manager who had already gone home, and the person at the service desk couldn't tell me who the most senior person was that I could speak to. I called back and asked for the Dealer Principal. After holding for a while I was offered his voicemail and told that he checks it every 30 minutes or so. Two and a half hours later I've not heard back. At the bottom of the invoice it says "Our goal at Elco Chevrolet is to make every customer Completely Satisfied, and we sincerely hope all your concerns were met. If for any reason you are not Completely Satisfied contact our service department so that we can make every effort to resolve your concern." I feel that this lip service only, and they have failed on both counts. I will not be returning.

Fourth Vehicle Purchased!

This is the fourth vehicle I have purchases from ELCO Chevrolet. I believe that speaks volumes about the dealership! Rick W. is an outstanding salesman. He is more than a salesman, he is also a customer service pro! Our relationship did not end after my purchase. Rick W. has continued to contact me throughout the year via email to make sure I am fully satisfied with my new vehicle. Also, Rick found the vehicle I wanted with exactly the options I wanted! Believe me, I had a tall order. Rick never pushed other products on me and never 'strong armed' me to buy something I didn't want. He first discussed what I wanted and what I needed. We found what I wanted, the first day I arrived, and I left very happy. I cannot recommend Rick W. and ELCO Chevrolet enough! I will be back.

Great experience

I just purchased my second car from Rick. I still have the first. Rick is very easy to work with. He listens to what you want and strives to meet your needs. When Rick did not have the exact car I wanted, he did not try and pressure me into accepting else that he in in stock. Instead, he listened and accepted my wishes. He called me several weeks later and told me that he now had the car I was looking for and, he was right. It was exactly what I wanted. I bought the car at a fair price and I am happy with the results. I expect to trade in car # 1 in a year or so and will go back to Rick for car # 3.

"Ain't nobody like Mike!!"

If I could rate higher than "great" I would have. I have been to so many dealers, that I had become frustrated and was heading home. I stopped in ELCO on my way and, as I was walking in, Mr. M. warmly asked me if he could help me in any way. We sat down and I told him my situation, and some of the specifics of which I was looking in a vehicle. He was like a big brother, and seemed to know exactly what my vision was. He took me out, put me in a beautiful SUV that was made for me. He did all the rest for me with pricing, and going over everything I needed to know. I didn't feel he was a salesman, but more as someone who was looking out for my best interests. There was no pressure of buying the car; Mr. M. took it all away and treated me like a family member. My only regret is that I didn't stop at ELCO first, and been blessed to run into Mr. M. who did everything for me. I can't be more pleased!!!

Rick and everyone at ELCO Chevrolet are very friendly, and know that every customer that comes in whether its new or used are treated the same. Rick knew what kind of truck I was looking for and what I could afford. he made sure that when we still weren't close enough on payment and price that I was going to have to walk, he talked to his manager and told him that he would rather take a hit then for me to walk out the door.
