Buyers beware

Wish i could give this place 0 stars. To start, he service team was horrible, not even subpar. Since buying my car 200 miles ago, i have found a fuel leak that was very easy to see, they never changed the air filter for the engine( has leaves and so much dirt it turned a white filter black) a oil change wasn't done even though it was clearly due. The timing for the engine has thrown itself of. I was expecting way more from this dealership knowing that they are a Ford and Gm dealership, both of those car makers have vehicles that are known for timing chain issues. They are overpriced on everything they have, the sales team knows absolutely nothing about cars. My sales guy tried to tell me my car doesn't have a transmission in it. The list of problems are only growing with this car, i hope no one else buys from them because the only way they get paid more hourly is by selling more cars. They don't care about you, don't make the same mistake i did and buy from them, go to someone else.

Dishonest, poor customer service

Sonju was by far the worst truck buying experience I have ever had. They were dishonest in their service and gave me the run around when I had an issue. It took over 3 weeks to resolve, (I had to call them 5 times and leave 5 voicemails until someone finally called me back) which lead to "sorry you misunderstood what we said". I will admit it was my fault as I signed the paperwork but what I really learned was that you can't trust anyone on their sales team. Please do not by a vehicle from here as you will be disappointed.

Talk to a sales person about a trailblazer they had for sale he told me that it wasnt a vehicle i would want so he showed me a car yes i test drove it told him there was a clunk in the front end he said that it would get fixed and not to worry about the noise. I went to the finance person they said it was a go to buy the car but they could only finance me that car. I told them that I had to think about it because I wanted a trailblazer. I sat up there for 6 hours in that time they couldnt express enough that the clunk in the front end would get fixed and that I could take it home that day. They also said that the clunk would be safe to drive. In good faith I trusted them, I drove the car home and I did make an appointment to get the clunk fixed. (upper control arm) My son and I went up there and they told us it would take all day to fix and that I could get a loaner car but had to pay for it. We did get a loaner car but only for a few hours went back and we waited from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. While I drove that car back home that night (30 miles) I heard the clunk again. I called and they said that the control arm was fixed before it left the lot. I said no thats not true. I had to take it back up to sonju and what do you know when the manager took my car for a ride he heard that clunk. He said that it would take 15 minutes to fix. I said ok so I waited again for an hour. I now still hear that clunk in the front end. I have called sonju and what do you know the warranty ran out so the drive train warranty is still in effect thru gm. I called gm and they said i could take it to another dealership. I did. The control arm got fixed but there is still the clunk in the front end. I am in the process of trying to get rid of the car but the loan for the car is 5000 over what the car is worth. I have also learned that this car is a flood damaged car. No sonju did not tell me that either. Ooooo in all of this the car shuts off while driving it. Sonju does know about this but ignored it. Not sure what to do at this point with this lemon of a car. All I know is I can not give sonju any stars. They are the worst dealership to go to. Don't buy anything from them no matter what they say. You will regret it. Sold me a lemon car. Has more problems then the one that I traded them. Look somewhere else for a car. If you have bad credit there is other dealers that will try to Help you. Again stay away from sonju two harbors mn. O and the only reason there is a star for them is because I wouldnt be able to submit this again no star for them from me.

In 2008 I purchased a vehicle from sonju and it was a horrible mistake! I had bad credit at the time so they totally took advantage of the fact that I was in desperate need of a car. They sold me a 94' Ford Explorer for $2000. Things I found out that were wrong with the car after they told me that it was in "good condition, no problems" Bad fuel pump No spare tire (Even though they told me it had a full size spare. AND it's illegal in the state of Minnesota to sell a car with out a spare!) Electrical problems with the stereo, tail lights, fuel sensor and blinkers. Slipping transmission CRACKED CV AND U JOINTS ON BOTH THE FRONT AND BACK! Rusted out ball joints on all four tires Leaf spring rusted from the frame entirely! Save yourself the hell that I went through, DO NOT buy from Sonju.
