Amazing Experience

by NWitczek on 03/16/2017

Spent 2 days test driving and going to different dealerships (Morries and others) Dave Jensen was friendly, funny and very accommodating. No pressure, very easy to work with. I was more difficult as I was not sure what I wanted exactly, and he took time out to let me test drive vehicles and go to other Morries lots to find the vehicle that I wanted. He spent a lot of time with me, asking me questions, taking notes, making sure when I left, I had the EXACT car I wanted and I would be happy with my purchase. He was honest and up front and patient. Adore helped me with me financing and that was a breeze, she too, very friendly, not pushy or aloof. In between making Dave run to get this car or that, the 2 managers Steph and Chris were always welcoming and friendly, and even stopped by to chat, never making me feel they were there because they "had to be", or because it was "there job", I did not feel intimidated at any process. We had some humorous conversations to pass the time as well. The team of here is AMAZING and I will not go anywhere else as long as these people are running the show. Andrea in the service department is very efficient and knows her stuff, Ryan (Another salesman) was quite entertaining and I would for sure buy through him if Dave was not available. This whole group is A+. The facilities are clean and inviting. All the chairs are comfortable, they have free Wi-Fi, magazines, a TV with Fireplace. Plenty of drinks. Water, coffee, hot chocolate, chocolate milk, and a variety of cappuccinos, latte's, tea and anything else you could desire. Thanks Dave, Adara, Andrea, Chris, Steph and Ryan!!

Avoid At All Costs

by Kent_Crackle on 04/15/2016

If you‘ve always wanted to know firsthand why car dealerships have negative, dishonest reputations, then this is the place for you. I made the mistake of selling a car to them. I was told my check would arrive in the mail, and a week later when it did it was made out for half of the agreed upon price! I immediately called them, but I won’t bore you with the lengthy tale of brush-offs and dead-ends I dealt with throughout numerous attempts to clear this up over the phone. So I then had to take time out of my day and go back in person. I was shuffled around between four different employees who all seemed to have no idea what was going on. They claimed they “didn’t have it on record” and that there was no trace of such a deal. I was literally told by one person that the whole thing had never happened and that they hadn’t bought my car! Unbelievable! So I pulled out the check I received from them for the incorrect amount and the purchase slip that arrived with it; physical proof that indeed they had purchased my vehicle. Instantly their memories were jogged! Funny how that works. I still find it crazy that I had to argue over the fact that I had sold a car to them mere days ago. Anyway, I finally got placed with a manager and she couldn’t have been less sympathetic. I was made to feel like an immense burden, as if I had done anything negative towards them. I already felt bad enough about my treatment, and a small bit of humanity would’ve went a long way in that moment, but I was in the wrong place for that. The story from them then became that the person who had facilitated the purchase would contact me about it. He hadn’t made record of it (yeah, that’s not suspicious at all, sounds like standard business practice to me) so it was now my word against his, and he would call me tomorrow. Needless to say, the con-man who ripped me off never phoned. After a few more days of the run-around, I grew weary of the stress and aggravation and just decided to eat the cost. Which I’m sure is exactly what they were counting on. Lesson learned on my part. I hope you can learn from it too. See, their slogan is “Buy Happy”, but it turns out that applies only to them and not the customers. Now you know. You have so many choices out there. Go anywhere else. Maybe you’re just buying a car and not selling one, and maybe they have some good people there, but do you really want to roll the dice on a chance that you connect with one of them and not the questionable crew that I dealt with? Save yourself a headache

Used Car Purchase

by happy_otter on 12/26/2015

I was in the market for a used car and Morries was very helpful. After looking at a couple cars on the lot that I was not interested in we were able to check through the entire Morries inventory to find a car I liked. It was at a different location, so I was able to arrange another day to come out and test drive the car, which I ended up buying. I feel like Steve, the guy who sold me the car, was very helpful in finding a car that was right for me and my budget. I did not feel overly pressured to buy anything, and all of my questions were answered, either by Steve or after he asked someone else. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service I received.

Scammed

by Burned123 on 09/23/2015

We bought a car that had less than 80K miles on it and in less then 2 years we had over $5000 in various repairs in it (around 10K miles were put on in that time) we brought it to the dealership and traded it in the new vehical had issues as we drove it off the lot and after dozens of hours of headaches they would not help us and went out of their way to stall us till we left. Dont shop there take the time to find a dealership that has concerns for the consumer as this is not one of them.

I would like to thank my salesperson Matt Frost for a great experience!

by davembum on 06/30/2015

I would like to thank my salesperson Matt Frost for a great experience buying a car. From the moment I arrived I was treated like a VIP. The entire staff was very attentive and ALL my needs were met. Do yourself a favor and go to "Morrie's 394 Hyundai" for your next car/truck and ask for Matt "FLIPPIN" Frost ! And if you buy a car you will understand the middle name...

They tried to make me feel like an idiot.

by jill38 on 01/09/2015

I came to Morrie's to trade-in my car because I was told "I would need to look at your [vehicle] to give you an absolute figure, I can tell you that we have a lot of demand for pre-owned [vehicles] like yours, so you might be surprised at how much it could be worth to us!" Note- I removed my actual vehicle make/model as to protect myself. I had also found a great used car on their website, just what I was looking for, in my price range (although above the KBB value) and with low miles! Yay! My excitement lasted until I walked into the dealership, and immediately felt uncomfortable. I had asked the salesman I was working with why the car was listed above the value of the car. He said "we are a one price dealership, that's not going to change." I told him that I didn't expect a change, I was just wondering why. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't car salesmen trying to SELL cars? Because I had an idea of why it was higher priced already (like that it is rare to find that kind of car with that low of miles) but was just looking for a reason. I wasn't trying to bargain, I just wanted to know, because if I am paying $1,000 over market price, I want to be sure I won't regret it. I was then told they didn't have the car I was looking for, and when they asked if I was looking for something else I told them I was open and my requirements. The second car he found (same make/ model, older year) was at a partner dealership across the street. He called them, and it also wasn't there. He helped me look at a couple other options. I also said that my budget depended on the trade in for my current car. The salesman worked with me (hesitantly) to find a car. When we found another option at a dealership across the street, he told me he would take me over there. Before we left, he told me that in order to "not waste your time" he wanted to know what I wanted for my trade in. I told him I would like to get the KBB trade-in value on the higher end, around $3,500. He told me "that's not going to happen, we will only offer you a couple hundred dollars." I was shocked, I asked how this was possible when I was planning on buying a car from him and mine was still worth a couple thousand at least. He then went to get his "used car sales manager." Who told me that KBB doesn't buy cars, so I would never get that much for it (I had shown him the range of $2,600-3,500 as the trade in value). I said that I understood how buying and selling work, but the amount they were offering wasn't even near the trade in value. I also told him didn't need a lecture, and that these prices are fair estimates of what I should get. He told me "You can't MAKE ME buy your car!" He was insulting me, talking down to me, and then started acting like a child. I told him that I was done, as I walked away he (I kid you not) yelled "yes, YOU CAN LEAVE NOW." I was so upset that I swore at him. I don't swear often, and when I do it is not usually a 4 letter word beginning in F, but I did, and left the dealership in tears. I understand that dealerships need to sell cars to make money, and that new cars make a lot more money than used, but that doesn't give your dealership an excuse to be rude and downright mean to me because I am on a budget. I may not make a lot of money, but that doesn't decrease my value as a human being. I will NEVER buy from any Morrie's dealership, even when I can afford a new car.

Great service!

by alex202 on 09/29/2014

Recently purchased a Hyundai Sonata from Peter M. at Morrie's and enjoyed the entire process. No problems, responsive to all of our questions, and helpful in every possible way. Since buying, he has even followed up with us to see if we have any questions and to make sure everything is good with the car. 10/10!

Horrible Customer Service

by sbrs1 on 07/01/2014

After 4 messages to the dealership over a span of 6 days (none of which were returned) I called one last time to talk to a manager. I was transferred to a Michael ( he refused to give me his last name) who was extremely rude and disrespectful. Michael told me the reason I was not called back was because it was month end and that they were too busy! I said I had left messages last week as well and he said that the last three days of the month are too busy in a car dealership for a call back.. He explained that they were signing car deals until 10pm last night. Hmmm... how exactly does that equate to not calling me back? I asked for the name of his boss and was given a name of someone that doesn't even exist. I double checked the spelling before letting Michael off the phone. I looked online and came up the the General Manager's name of Aaaron V. Mr. V. was kind enough to call me back. However, when I discussed my problem, it was clear that the reason I received bad service is due to his lack of leadership. Instead of dealing with the issue I had, he explained that there is a Michael at the dealership but that he would never talk to customer that way. Hmm... ok, I guess the customer is always right, or at least deserves to be heard, does not apply to this dealership. I will not be purchasing a vehicle from any Morries dealership in the future. Their customer service is too lacking.

Letting everyone know.

by upset22 on 05/21/2014

Try to keep this as short as possible, very dissatisfied. I bought the drive happy promise and yes you have to purchase it. Went past the 7 day 300 mile return but still had the exchange so that's what I did. I brought my 14 year old daughter with me to pick a different car. The sales person Robert (Rob) M. was very rude and disrespectful. I picked out a car at another Morries dealership. Brought the car to Morries394 as instructed. Through the exchange process I mentioned the turn signal light was out on the new car I picked out. Rob said "You will have to bring it back to the other Morries store after we're done, to have it fixed it's not our car." I said "Are you serious, what about the buy happy?" He said "It's not our car." I said "Wow I wish I had a different sales person." He gave me a dirty look and said "IF YOU CONTINUE TO BE A DICK I WILL HAVE YOU THROWN OUT." I said "what do you mean?" He said " your being rude." I said " You were rude first. What happened to the Buy Happy Promise? All lights are fixed for free for the first 6 months. You said I have to take it back to the other dealership after were done." He said " You should of got that fixed before you took it. IT'S NOT OUR CAR." He got up and left. My daughter was scared and wanted to leave. After several hours we finished the paper work, just before they closed. We left without getting the light fixed. He left a lasting impression on me and my daughter. We will tell everyone about this experience. And if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me. [contact info removed]

I had the stress of purchasing a new vehicle after my Corolla was parked on the street and totaled by a drunk driver! As if that situation wasn't stressful enough! Heidi went above and beyond her job to make sure that I absolutely got what I was looking for and to make sure I was super happy!!!! I am also impressed with her professionalism and quick response to make sure I got in the car asap! Go to Morrie's and ask for Heidi!!!

Poor service response

by lakes5274 on 09/29/2013

We purchased a used car from the Morries 394 on Sept 13 for my high school daughter and in 7 days the ECM board failed - a $1400 fix. The car was purchased As Is and was only $5000 but was not expected to have issues within the first week. My daughter called her sales man Brent J. and asked what if anything they could help with on the issue. Brent told my daughter that "the car was sold as is and what do you expect for a $5000 car". She asked if he could have his manager call to discuss the issue, no one returned our call. She could tell that Brent did not want to deal with her or the situation once the sale had been made. Based on our local mechanic feedback - it turns out that two other less expensive issues were previously fixed on the car but not the more costly ECM. We are very disappointed with their service, ethics and response to our situation. Beware of buying any used or as is cars from this dealership.

Carolyn H.

by djguille on 09/17/2013

This review is in regards to Carolyn H. a sales lady at 394 Hyundai. Carolyn is a very sensible, hard-working, down to earth, caring, and flexible sales person. She helped me make my final decision of buying a 2010 Hyundai Sonata. Before I decided on that car I looked at a 96’ Mustang and a 2010 Fusion they both were great cars but not for me. Carolyn really went above and beyond though making sure the cars went through the car wash, had enough gas, and explaining all the details of the cars before I test drove them. I was also really impressed with her flexibility in her schedule, I worked a lot that week of purchasing the car and had to go down to the dealership a few times to test drive, pick, and buy the car I wanted. All in all my experience with Carolyn H., the Sales manager, and the rest of the staff at Morries 394 Hyundai was great they really make sure you are taken care of.

by HillsinLuck on 08/07/2013

Carolyn was FANTASTIC!!! She was helpful, genuine and was there to help us! I couldn’t have asked for more prompt service in this purchase. She answered all of my questions to the fullest and if she did not know the answer, she was quick to find one and get back to me. I did most of my purchase right online, set an appointment to meet with her and was in and out with the vehicle of my dreams!!!! Thank you Carolyn!!!! We will definitely see you again in a few years when we look again! :)

wonderful experience

by colleen77 on 07/23/2013

I have had a wonderful experience with Carolyn H. who works at Morrie’s Hyundai in St. Louis Park. I came in wanting information on leasing. I am a very cautious buyer and like to be well informed before purchasing/ leasing. I liked Carolyn and her assistance in making a good decision. I will continue to deal with Carolyn and refer her to all my friends. She did a great job! Colleen A.

A great place to buy a car

by rnelson4 on 06/21/2013

I just bought a new Hyundai Elantra for Morrie's Hyundai. The whole process was a refreshing change from my previous car buying experiences. My sales guy, Brent J. showed me the different models and we went on a test drive. I decided to get the one with leather and heated seats and a sunroof. Brent did a great job explained everything about the car and I decided not to go look at a Honda Civic, the other car I was thinking of. I got a great price and a lot of benefits, the process was completely painless.

I recently bought a used 2010 Toyota Corolla from Carolyn. She is nice and friendly plus giving us enough freedom to try the car and bring car to mechanic check. The car works great so far and I am satisfied with this Hyundai 394 dealership.

LOVE MY CAR!

by KDols on 06/18/2013

I have known Carolyn H. for several years now. She is a friend of my mom’s. I was referred to go and purchase my car from her because I was told she is a wonderful person and very honest. I did just that and WOW I am happy! I purchased a used 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited with navigation. I LOVE IT! Carolyn went the extra mile to be sure I test drove several vehicles and was sure I had selected the exact vehicle I wanted. I LOVE my car, LOVE Carolyn, and LOVE Morrie’s. If I could give more than 10+ rating I would. Go see Carolyn H. at Morrie’s 394 Hyundai. You’ll love her too! Kayla D. P.S I drove all the way down from St. Cloud, MN just to see Carolyn. I am glad I did!

Great Experiance

by deangossiii on 06/09/2013

My car was in the process of breaking down and I wanted to go to a dealership that didnt pressure me into things. Well I found it. Morries off of 394 was amazing. The salesmen was professional, patient, and nice. We went on 5 test drives before I found the car that fit all of my needs (2011 Elantra) . The only issue we ran into was with the banks and even that wasn't unbearable. Doug S. is a very nice and personable salesmen and I recommend everyone to ask for him by name.

Fabulous Service

by haydensmomma on 05/10/2013

I purchased a used vehicle from Morries. My fiancé and I found it on the Public before Wholesale site. We were skeptic about it at first because it looked too good to be true but then I got an e-mail from one of their sales women, Carolyn. I was surprised to actually get in contact with a sales person within the first 24 hours that we had made the inquiry. I had a few questions and she answered them within a decent amount of time. She then called to follow up with us since we had expressed interest. She was very polite over the phone and was upfront and honest about the few flaws that the vehicle did have. I valued her honesty and was surprised when she had let me know that she herself had driven it, so it was first hand experience. When I got to the dealership I asked for her and she was very prompt in introducing herself and getting out to the vehicle we expressed interest in. After the test drive we had let her know that we were interested in purchasing. She got us the final numbers and was very attentive and very nice throughout the whole process. Although the actual purchasing portion took a seriously long time she was right there giving us updates as the process went along. Out of all of the used vehicle buying experiences that I've had I have to say that Carolyn at this Morries was the best sales person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I would specifically recommend going to her to purchase your vehicle if you value honesty, integrity and a great deal.

Great experience!

Wow! What a great experience at Morrie's! I've never had a car buying experience like this before. I was guided step by step through the process by Ryan. He was very knowledgeable for the product he was selling. Might I add there was absolutely no pressure to buy. The test drive went great, the buying process went smoothly, and we were overall very happy with the product we received and the service that was delivered. I would rate Morrie's 5 out of 5.
