Poor Communication/Poor service

by SantyFe on 11/03/2023

They lack basic communication skills. Don’t look up when a customer walks in, don’t answer their phones. Don’t return calls or text messages. They had my car for 16 weeks and returned it to me dirty and out of gas.

Waste of time

by Jesse on 11/16/2017

I went here to look at a Jeep and I have negative equity on my trade in and I was looking at a cheaper vehicle so I could keep my payment lower and instead of just telling me it wasn’t going to work they kept trying to sell me a more expensive Hyundai. I wanted a payment of $350 and they came back to me with 2 different ones of $491 and $560 wasted 2 1/2 hours of my time!

Nice until sale is final

by L1ttleb1t on 11/17/2015

Steer clear of this dealership, from my experience I would never purchase another hyundai again. The people changed their attitude towards me once the sale was final, it was like i had a plague. The dealership told me to make my first car payment to them directly, and come to find out they did not make payment to the bank. So I went to dealership and asked them why they didn't make payment to the bank. I was told because I gave a bad review they are not sending full payment I gave them and shorted my payment 20.00. Now i'm a month late on my payment. This was the worst experience for me buying a car.

Horrible customer service

by asd8 on 05/22/2015

SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF ABUSE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! I purchased a car for cash from Luther Bloomington Hyundai. During the grace period I decided I wanted to get it financed thru Luther Bloomington Hyundai. That is when the trouble began. I was told to work with Eric in finance. He rarely returned my calls. Left on vacation without informing anyone as to where my paperwork was kept. Then I was told the check would be mailed the next day. However more mistakes were made and the check was not processed and I was not even called to be informed. Ten days later when I called to inquire. Eric was very rude and unprofessional!!! He actually hung up on me when I asked why my check was just sitting there and why I was not informed there was a problem. I think however the worst part was that when I informed management about Eric's behavior they supported and condoned his behavior!!! Save yourself a lot of abuse and go somewhere else!!! They are very nice until you buy a car but if you have problems or questions after the sale be prepared to be abused!!!

We bought and may be satisfied

by the_mirage on 10/04/2012

The car we wanted was not available in Minnesota, so they had to order it. We were fine with that as time was not that important. They gave us the best price of several dealers we visited. We test drove the 2013 Santa Fe similar to what we ordered. Features was what caused us to have to order this out. We were treated just fine and yes Tracey was the salesperson for us. He did just fine.

Horrible customer service

by dk82310 on 09/13/2012

Ive worked with a lot of sales people from different dealerships and most of them were very decent and some were great. I've contacted Carrie McWilliams via emails and phone. She seemed some what polite and decent but when we met in person she was completely opposite. She was NOT polite, didn't have patience for us, didn't even listen to what we had to say. Bottom line she was very rude and had no customer service skill whatsoever. Her and her dealership lost our business from buy two brand new vehicles. I'd definitely NOT want to have any business with her nor recommend her to anyone.

No Love at Luther

by mikeinmpls on 12/28/2011

I went in to look at a Kia to buy for my parents as an anniversary present and I have never been treated so rudely by a salesperson in my life. Tracey DeBruzzi informed me that a month from now they won't be selling Kias and subsequently wasn't at all interested in showing my any vehicles. I asked him if I could see some anyway and we walked outside and he literally pointed at one and said "this is what they look like"- thanks... I then asked if I could see the interiors of a couple of different trims. He rolled his eyes and then decided to talk turkey; he said he is paid on commision and wasn't go out of his way to open up any vehicles because "frankly, he wasn't goint to make any money." I've never been treated so rudely in my life!!! Upon talking to the manager, Tracey apologized "for not being able to sell a car today"- not the incredulous manner in which he treated me. Tracey DeBruzzi represents the worst in car salesman. I will never buy a car from Luther if this is the standard that they treat customers. Appalling!

Extended Warranty is a must

by spencemeister on 05/11/2011

I've got a Hyundai Sonata with 10 year/100,000 mile "bumper to bumper" warranty. I've never had a problem with warranty service, ever. I pick up my car, and the price is $0.00. I never get any pressure to purchase unwanted services. I never get any grief for have regular maintenance performed elsewhere. I would never buy a Hyundai without an extended warranty considering how many system failures I've had. In eight years I've had the following replacements: a transmission, wheel bearing, ignition coil, windshield wiper linkage, side airbag, body trim clips Other services are priced excessively high in my opinion. While doing warranty work, they charged me $120 to reconnect a loose wire for my airbag. If it had to be replaced, it'd be covered under the warranty, but since it was merely loose, I had to pay. I was shocked to receive a bill for $650 to replace spark plug wires that were 1,100 miles out of warranty. Regular 30,000 mile check-up maintenance; $531. 5/6/2011 I just had both front wheel bearings replaced, again. They were just replaced 6,000 miles ago. The work was top notch. I just always have this nagging feeling that Hyundai scrimps on quality to keep the cost down. I guess the old adage is true, you get what you pay for. On the other hand, the total cost of ownership of this car over the last 9 years has been extremely good. So what am I complaining about?
