Recently I went to look at my options at Betten Baker Honda with my fading 05 Honda Civic. Tony Alcala greeted me and proceeded to show me all of the safety features and amenities of the 17 Honda Civics. After an absolutely smooth and simple process, Tony helped me achieve an affordable monthly payment for a brand new Honda, even after applying a special care package with my vehicle. Thank you Betten Baker Honda but most of all thank you Tony Alcala for the above and beyond care!! I love my car and the service I continue to receive!!

We recently purchased a used 2016 Honda HR-V and were very impressed by the staff at Betten Honda. Sales person, Mark Gardner, worked with us throughout the process and he was superb from the initial internet contact through my driving the vehicle off the lot. We drove a long way, but the longer drive was worth the fair price received and the congenial folks. Mark's help and "going the extra mile" to ensure we were satisfied with our purchase was beyond our imaginations. I would very highly recommend him and the financial guy (even though we paid cash for the vehicle), as they were both extremely knowledgeable and made our purchase a very positive experience. This was my 1st new car purchase, I have always purchased pre-owned so I was a little nervous but Brandon Z made it real easy, I purchase my car on Friday and on Monday he called to make sure I was ok with it and to see if I had any more questions. Awesome experience.

Overall an easy, quick, painless, process. I have purchased many vehicles from Betten, only using Howard Meloche as my sales person, and it has always been an enjoyable, professional experience. Howard (from the sales end), Adam(From the financing area) and Pete (manager), always strive to make the purchase fast and efficient. I wish I could say as much about the service dept. across the street.

I purchased a very nice 2008 Toyota Tacoma from Betten Honda. The sales rep with whom I worked was Tom S. Tom could not have been more helpful than he was. I stopped at the dealership one evening--at the beginning of a "truck search." Tom greeted me in the lot and inquired about the type of truck I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Tom several days later. He had found a very nice Toyota truck with all the features I had mentioned to him several days before. My search ended at that point. I bought the vehicle after a test drive. Tom was Wonderful to work with! Kudos also to Leslie D, who handled the details of the paperwork on my purchase. Tom also provided a tour of Betten's new and beautiful service department. I was impressed. Complimentary car washes and $19.95 oil changes were also included as part of this purchase. My wife is now beginning a search for a vehicle. Our salesman will be Tom S at Betten Honda. And just a suggestion to the dealership by way of some well-intended feedback---something I like to do with my staff to polish their performance even more: I did not think of this until I received my license plate and registration . . . But it might be a nice extra touch to inquire of the customer if that person would like a special design on the license plate or add to the cost of registration financial support for a favorite cause or university to order the plate with the special logo, etc. In addition, I am a huge supporter of our Michigan state park system. I buy the state park "passport" each year as part of my license fee (a well-spent additional $10). However, in all the excitement of my purchase of my "new" truck, I forgot to inquire about that option. I am sure that I can add that feature at a Secretary of State's office---but just thought I would offer that suggestion with these comments. I had a fantastic experience with Betten Honda. My salesperson was able to answer all of my questions and showed me all the features and benefits of my new Pilot in an exciting way. I was shopping on the internet and had a phone call literally within 30 minuets of my request. My salesmen even communicated with me during the process after hours to keep me posted on the process. I was highly impressed. I would reccommend my salesmen Patrick Kleyn as well as the dealership as a whole.

Patrick at Betten was terrific to my wife and I. Let us take our time with the car without looking over our shoulders. explained the features of the car in detail and even help program the radio presets. Patrick made clear he was available after the sale for any questions we might have. Overall an easy and stress free transaction.

Betten Honda Merely "Okay"

I would rate Betten Honda merely "okay" in terms of sales, a C+/B-. Admittedly I have high standards, but I expected better. Mike Kaffenberger was okay as a sales person, personable and pleasant. He did not know the Honda model I was interested in at first, but learned quickly and eventually answered most of my (many) questions. And financial paperwork person, Mike, respected my wishes not to be bombarded with a strong sales pitch for all of the unnecessary and expensive "add-ons" that so many dealers try to sell unsuspecting customers. The biggest problem was an insulting offer for my trade-in, well below the fair trade-in value suggested by Edmunds and Consumer Reports, and less than one-third of the retail value. I had done appropriate research and knew what the car was worth. I sold it on my own for more than twice what Betten offered. Aside from the trade-in fiasco, the problems were two: 1.) We had to wait around for more than 90 minutes to pick up the car while paperwork was completed, license transferred, and who knows what else; 2.) As I have experienced at another Betten dealership, at the last minute they attempted to change the price agreed upon the previous day. I refused, was prepared to leave, and the dealer finally honored the original, agreed upon price. I hope the sales person did not have to "eat" the difference. That difference was small, but the fact that this has happened now twice at Betten dealerships suggests a pattern I do not like. This practice ought to be illegal, especially if one has money down which makes it more difficult to walk out. I am awaiting the first service experience.

The staff stayed late to make sure all of my questions were answered and I had everything that I needed. They did an excellent job with this and thoroughly explained everything to me. Greg Brown drove the vehicle to my home after the purchase was complete because I could not drive as I was on crutches, and I really appreciated how accommodating he was. I love my new CR-V and will continue to do business at Betten Honda. The building is old but they are in the process of building a new one, they showed me the pictures of what it will look like when it's done. The people there were so great I would recommend them to anyone.
