Honesty. If you asked me one word to describe this dealership, I would say honesty. We were greeted immediately by Kevin Johnson and less than 24 hours later we drove off the lot with the truck of my husbands dreams. We will never purchase a car anywhere else. Kevin was straightforward, polite, fun, and honest. Never did we feel pushed into making a purchase. He also stayed well over an hour after closing time and never once looked at a clock. Awesome experience!

Speechless

I went in for an oil change. Prior to the oil change Drew inspected the car. Upon inspecting the car all he stated that he saw that was wrong was there was a scratch on the door. I wait for the oil change to be done and once completed they advise my car is out front. As we get closer I see the rim on the front tire is bent. I call the young man back(not Drew) and ask him why is the rim bent? I wasn't given a logical answer. So I ask him if he could have Drew come out since he was the one who inspected it before hand. Drew comes out and I ask him the same question I asked the other gentleman. He proceeds to say "Oh that was like that I saw it and figured you knew". What? So you see an obvious scratch in clear view and notate and advise me of that but didn't feel the need to advise me of a bent rim? Then he proceeds to tell me " yea you could have hit something". Really nonchalantly and basically blowing me off. I advise him that if I hit something that hard, I'm pretty sure I'd know. I also advised him I had just had my tire pressure checked at discount tire yesterday and im pretty sure if my rim was damaged the way it is, not only would I have seen it but I'm pretty sure they would have to. The lack of care and basically blaming it on me even though it was not that way before they took it in the back just ensured when my lease is up, I will not be doing any future business at Betten Baker of Muskegon. I am also utilizing my heavy following on social media to advise anyone I come in contact with to not do service there because from what I have been informed thus is the norm when it comes to customer service here. My entire family got cars from this location and because of how they treat their customers at the end of their leases they purchased elsewhere and I along with those ive advised on social media will also no longer conduct business or support this establishment. Betten Baker Muskegon I'm highly disappointed but will be contacting corporat , my media connects, and utilizing social media to ensure everyone knows how you treat your customers. Poor Customer Service

On Friday, 09/20/19 I drove 3 hours to Betten Baker in Muskegon to purchase a 2019 Corvette. I wanted a convertible instead of a removable top. I traded my 2016 Corvette in towards the purchase & wrote a check for the balance. I drove my new car to Grand Haven, spent 2 nights there and started my trip back home on Sunday morning. An hour out on the expressway the 1st thing that I noticed was the cruise control stopped working. Within a few minutes the gas needle went from full (which it was) to empty. Then the check engine light came on so I pulled the car off the expressway and turned it off. I called the salesperson who sold me it was nothing major and to go ahead and drive it home. The next day, Monday, I took the car to my local Feldman Chevy dealer and left it with them to repair. From the time I first called Betten Baker on that Monday to let them know that the brand new Corvette they sold me was up on a hoist with the rear end and all of the wheels off to diagnose, I couldn't have been treated worse It was like no one at this dealership gave a flying flip. Over the next 35 days, there were 3 or 4 parts that were diagnosed as needing to be replaced. Long wait due to the strike. While Feldman couldn't have been nicer and kept me informed frequently...it was Betten Baker who had my 2016 Corvette AND my money...and NOT ONCE did they call to check and see what was going on or even say they felt bad about what happened. I talked to at least 3 people at Betten Baker in "management" who pretty much told me that these things sometime happened...very condescending. I called at least 4 times to speak with either Betten or Baker, and was told one of them would call me back...never happened. Even the "customer service" dept called me a month after the purchase and I told her the car had been in the shop since I picked it up and I hadn't been able to drive it, she just said she was sorry to hear that. Again...crickets. Feldman Chevy, on the other hand, couldn't have been nicer or more professional to me. They were very involved trying to get the parts faster, and more importantly they felt bad that this beautiful brand new Corvette was inoperable for over a month. After 3 weeks in the shop, I retained a lemon law attorney. When I put in one last call to Betten Baker to let them know I was hiring an attorney, I was told by some guy named Rick that he would talk to someone and "try" and get me $1000 for all I'd been put through. 3 days later no callback from him. I finally called him back and he told me Betten Baker would not be offering me anything. I told him I would be retaining a lemon law attorney and Mr Rick actually laughed and said I'd never get a penny. Well Mr Rick needs to know I just received a check from GM for more than 8x's the amount Betten Baker declined to offer me. Also rec'd a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty AND the attorney fees were paid as well. I lease or buy cars every 3 years and have always been treated with kindness and respect at any dealer I've done business with. Feldman treated me with kindness and respect. Betten Baker was uncaring, condescending, and just pretty much treated me like I didn't exist. Once they had my money, I was on my own. Feldman didn't even make the sale and everyone...from the service department guys to upper management stepped in ...they were awesome to work with. I would highly recommend Feldman even if its out of the way....I know I would never buy anything from Betten Baker again. Might be a wize biz move for either Betten or Baker to get more involved with their customers rather than put them on ignore.

Forever our go to for car sales!

We have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership now all from Ronnie Skorupski!!! He is literally the best car salesman I've ever had. He is a straight shooter, tells you right up front how it is with all the details, where other places will give you the normal sales pitch. With our last deal it was a tough one. They had to pull a lot of strings to help us. Not only was Ronnie on top of it, while he was on vacation, his finance manager Heath Dutton helped us out!! We will be forever customers of Betten Baker Muskegon.

RACIALLY CHARGED ATTACK AGAINST A CUSTOMER

The service manager, said [non-permissible content removed} to my husband. My husband also heard a racial slur. This man kept walking up on my husband. Not only that, he had his staff trick my husband into coming in for repairs for a 2019 Denali than told him that he was not going to repair his truck and he was not returning his keys until he paid a $500 for repairs to a rental truck that was damaged. We would have gladly paid it, but our insurance stated that we may not have to pay that amount because the rental was vandalized. My husband asked the manager to let him contact the insurance company that morning and he would get back to him. This man attacked him. He tried to invoke violence. He did this in public view of his employees and customers. He has a terrible temper and he should not be allowed to conduct business. He is disrespectful, thinks he is superior to others and does not have to follow any rules. After 32 years of service, it's time to bring in some people who will show all races respect. And in the end, they did not want to give us the parts we needed for our truck that are covered under warranty. They would not provide another dealership with those part numbers either. This was a complete mess. He should retire.

Recently had my first experience with the Betten service department which was very disappointing to make a long story short but due to the persistence of our salesman Duane Witham the issue was taken care of very promptly, 5 plus stars for Duane's integrity, 1 star for "vehicle service department".
