Bait and Switch Snake Oil Sales Dealership

by Wilks on 06/09/2021

Was told the car I inquired about was on the lot for me to test drive. Drove 45 minutes to Wagner in Shrewsbury to be told they don't have the car for me to test drive but they have a different model. Bait and switch. Stay away!!!!!!!

Best Customer Service

by Dsloan1824 on 01/27/2016

Last February my husband and I purchased our third KIA vehicle. We were fortunate to meet Carol Tule who was so helpful and gave us outstanding service. She didn't pressure us and gave us the best advice in helping us choose our KIA Soul. During the past year Carol has kept in touch and made sure we were not only satisfied with our purchase but reminds us of when we need to get oil changes and any new deals coming in just in case we are in the market for another car. Knowing how much she cares about her customers makes us comfortable to refer Wagner KIA to our friends and to make sure they look for Carol. Thank you for everything you have done.

Quick and easy

by Riveragis on 03/09/2015

While at Wagner Kia to help my mom look for a new vehicle, I realized that the process was extremely easy. I spoke with Steve Crozier, in auto sales, who showed me the perfect Ford Fusion. Within a day, I was sitting with Jay Bhatty, who finalized all the financials within 10 minutes. I highly recommend Kia Wagner for any future purchases. This is my moms second purchase with the dealership and is has been a pleasure.

Untrained, uneducated, abusive, sales staff.

by jackburton131 on 06/22/2009

My father who is over 65 years old was attemtping to purchase a new vehicle. He origianlly went into the dealership by himself to begin looking for a new car. He was met by sales staff who were courteous in an attempt to make a sale. My father stated his preferences and he was matched up with a vehicle. The vehicle he was matched up with had a MSRP with dealer incentives of 12,800. He was offered a price of 12,795 and was told that this was an outstanding deal and that the dealers could not go any lower. I was planning on assisting my father in this purchase. I paid the $40 for the consumer reports automobile buying guide. This contains msrp price, bottom line prices, and what the dealer paid for the car. Using these exact prices (by exact I mean I was actually shown the dealer purchase document and it matched up exactly to consumer reports) I calculated an offer. The salesman said that he needed to speak with the manager which was Mark. Eventually Mark came over after we waited an extended period of time to explain the pricing to me. At this point he insisted upon pricing the car for me. During this time he offered me a "nice guy" discount because my father was such a nice guy he took anothe 100 dollars off the MSRP. Once the price was calculated, I explained to him that it was too much and made him an offer. I attempted to explain why the price was too much and he refused to look at my documentation nor verify its accuracies. He began to become abusive citing my previous experiences with other dealers. Eventually he said we can't do business and walked away. Then he came back with the price the dealer paid for the vehicle which as mentioned before matched exactly to what I had. He got more upset and started complaining about his lack of profit and how he would make any money. I began to try and understand what he was talking about and try to meet him in the middle. Unfortunately all Mark wanted to do was complain and tell me that I was wrong. In addition he refused to acknowledge the fact that he tried to give my father an outstandig $5 discount. Yes $5 below MSRP. In summary, if you plan on paying full price for a car you will have no problem at this dealership. Granted you will probably be paying approximately 6% over what they paid for the car. If you plan to negotiate with them and actually know what you are talking about plan to be abused. Horrible business tactics. There is no reason for abusive behavior. Clearly I had the information about pricing and the sales people did not know what to do at that point. I had no problem ensuring the dealer received a profit on the car as they need to in order to survive. What they failed to accept is that I and my father deserve to pay a reasonable price on the car as well. I suggest they receive some training in negotiating and sales tactics with people who have gone to consumer reports. They seemed lost and upset when I confronted them with the correct information. I own a Kia and have been really happy with it so far at 7 years and 90,000 miles. I was planning on purchasing another one. Now I am having second thoughts. If people like Mark are the types of individuals who Kia proudly employs and Kia allows dealerships to operate like this then I don't think I want anything to do with Kia.

!!!Warning, Stay AWAY, MAJOR RIP OFF!!!!

by johnwhelan47 on 04/09/2009

Several months ago, I went to Wagner Kia Thinking it was still Ragsdale KIA(I bought my last car there and had no problems). I Talked to the salesman named Mark M. and he told me that it was just like Ragsdale. During negotiations, I was assured that if there were any warranty problems, I would be given a loaner. I test drove a 08 Spectra and liked it. There was dirt on the car,but it was on the lot and of course they get dirty. There was app. 18 miles on the odometer. This was on a thursday. After thinking about it, I decided to buy the car and called the salesman that night. I said that i would be buying the car for cash and would be picking it up on Monday. I was leaving for FLA. the following weekend so he assured me it would be ready monday When Monday came around, the salesman told me that they weren't set up as a registry and the paperwork would have to be brought to the registry and it would be at least another day. I told them I would run the paperwork up myself. After standing in line for hours, I was told that the dealer screwed up the paperwork. I retuned it to the dealer and was told that it would all be ready by noon the following day. Noon came and went and they called me an hour before closing that the car was ready. I picked it up and brought it home. While showing the car to my neighbor (a body man) we noticed swirl marks all over the hood, fender, trunk, roof and doors. You could see that someone had taken a buffer to this car. We found several burn marks where the buffer was left on a spot too long and burned through the paint.I found major chips on the bumper. It was the I noticed that the car was delivered with 141 miles. Upon further inspection, I found gouge marks and cigarette burns on the front and rear seats. There were scratch marks on the interior, basically it was a mess. I immediatley called the dealer and was transfered to the repair department. The guy in the repair department was rude and asked what in the hell am i calling him for?I had to talkto sales. I called the sales department and was told that i had to talk to the detail department. I decided i would just bring up the car in the morning and talk to the manager. The manager came out to the car with a cigar in his mouth and started arguing with me about it. He said someone had just tried to get some bird crap off the car. I told him a body tech. had told me someone had burned the paint with a buffer (you could see this).... The argument continued. The manager acted like i was an idiot. He then took my car in the shop and tried to buff out the burn marks, he came out and apoligized to me for arguing and said he wasn't a body man. He told me that he would have thier outstanding body shop take care of all the problems. The salesman looked at the gouge and burn marks and told me that they were "Manufacture defects" and there was nothing he could do about it. (There is a sign in the showroom with a 100% satisfaction gauranty, I guess that's for the sales team). They offered me a loaner, but i declined since i was going on vacation. I left the car and was garunteed that the body would be "MINT" and they would put an inspection sticker on it. The following week I picked up the car, (it was raining) and on the way home I was pulled over by the police for not having a sticker. Furtunatley the cop was nice and let me go with a warning. I returned the car again and was assured that the sticker would be put on and the sport visors I ordered would be in the trunk. I went the next day and they handed me the keys. I noticed they forgot to put the sticker on and my visors weren't there. They said it would be a few minutes. After 2 hours, I saw that the car hadn't moved. When i asked, it turns out they forgot the sticker and pit it on. I was upset and left. When i got home I couldn't find my visors and called them. They told me they were back ordered(they had promised me they would be in the car. The day after when the rain stopped,
