Not your typical dealership!

by ODM2009 on 12/21/2014

First of all my fiance and I knew that we wanted a Mazda CX-5. I decided to get an online quote from Quirk Mazda even though they were a lot further away than several other dealerships. Tony Lambrou gave me an online quote (great deal) and included all rebates and special pricing available. I contacted him with multiple questions regarding the title and registration process, loan questions, etc. Every time I e-mailed he responded within minutes! I convinced my fiance that we should make the drive out to Quirk Mazda and we drove out on Saturday. Of course there was an accident and we were late, but when we arrived we were greeted with a smiling face, Jimmy Nguyen. When we went inside I met Tony and apologized for being late. He was great and informed us he has the Mazda CX-5 ready and Jimmy would be taking us outside to take a look. We looked briefly at the CX-5 and said "this is it." We sat down with Jimmy to talk about price and to my disbelief he had the exact same price as Tony had quoted me. The trade in was a little low, but Jimmy worked with us and went half way. Never at anytime did I feel cheated or uncomfortable. (Let's face it a Mazda dealership really doesn't want an old Volkswagon Jetta anyway.) Next was the moment all car buyers dread..the finance manager. Then Greg Russell came over and was friendly and easy going! We were shocked that everyone was so great. The deal went smoothly and my fiance and I are really happy. While we were waiting for the CX-5 to get detailed, the General Manager came over and was just as nice! There was even a great tech guy who explained all of the functions of the SUV. Jimmy came outside to say "goodbye" and it was snowing! My fiance said that he was convinced that people would just buy cars online in the future, but Quirk Mazda really changed his mind. They entire team was great. We were never belittled, swindled, or even uncomfortable during the entire process. If someone if looking to buy a Mazda- go to Quirk Mazda in Quincy!

Don't trust Quirk's reviews - caveat emptor

by jhahnke on 10/07/2013

I read great reviews about Quirk. Their salesman, Dan, was fine. When I asked for their best price on the new car I wanted, less my trade-in, Brian the store manager jumped into the conversation. I wasn't impressed with their best price, so Brian came back with a good price ($2K less, so I guess their first best price wasn't their best price). When Brian learned I wasn't going to buy that day he created a fabric of lies about how that quote was for a car I hadn't wanted. He was walking back the price, which instantly went up $2K. Why can't a dealership just deal honestly? Expect all the typical games at Quirk. They're playing them!

Highly recommend Linda Roccoforte

by jkd4278 on 09/20/2011

I've purchased many cars, so it's a bit ironic that I did not buy a car from the best salesperson I've ever encountered. The ONLY reason I didn't buy was because they did not have the color & features my wife wanted. (And even then, they did their absolute best to offer a higher spec car at price which Consumer Reports confirms was the "best possible" for that make & model.) I rarely post online reviews, but in this case I feel the level of service from Linda (and the sales manager) was exceptional and should be recognized.

Highly recommended for internet deal

by jsites on 07/19/2011

Got a good and credible quote, with no effort. No runaround. Got a fair price on a new Mazda 3 GT Hatch. These guys are straight shooters, if you are a savvy internet buyer, you won't be disappointed, Quirk is head and shoulders over all other Mass based Mazda Dealers that I contacted. Dennis Werkheiser and Niman Liu were highly professional, and a pleasure to deal with.

Could it be any easier?

by jkra123 on 05/13/2011

I traded emails with several dealerships about pricing on a CX-9 Touring. These guys had the best price by far. I used Edmunds and truecar to establish the lowest price. Most if not all the other dealers didn't want to come anywhere near the price I sent. The internet guy at Quirk and I agreed to the price of the car all by using email. When we went in to do the paper work is was as easy as can be. We had the same experience at their VW dealership several years ago as well.

Awesome Experience!!!

by johnas1 on 04/14/2011

I recently purchased a new Mazda 3 from Quirk Mazda. It was my third dealership visiting that week, so I was prepared for the worst. However, buying this car was actually fun! Sean Foley is amazing... he makes you feel at ease, and he'll have you cracking up the whole time, while still remaining professional. He was extremely knowledgeable, and best of all.. .NOT PUSHY. This sales experience was completely stress-free, if you can believe that! Even after I purchased the car and went back to pick it up, Sean took quite a bit of time to show me all of the gadgets and how everything in the car worked... even set up my bluetooth for me. He made sure I was completely comfortable using all the different features. If you're in the market for a new car, go to this guy, he rocks!!

Excellent Experience!

by martyjf on 04/09/2011

I test drove a Hyundai Elantra and the Mazda 3. The Mazda 3 met my driving needs better, so I negotiated a deal for a grand touring model with Sean Foley. My experience at Quirk was great...everyone in the dealership was friendly, and I didn't leave with that "I could have done better" feeling that so often is a part of the car buying experience. Ray in Finance couldn't have been nicer. They explained the optional add-ons that were available to me, but didn't push them. Oddly, one of the nicest parts of the experience was when I picked up the car...it came with a full tank of gas! I don't think that's ever happened before, and it was nice to have that level of thoughtfulness. Overall, I was very happy with my experience, and would happily recommend Quirk Mazda to friends and family.

Great Sales Experience

by edevenne on 03/13/2011

I recently searched on=line for a new car for my daughter. We looked at many different options and decided that a Mazda 3 was the best choice. We called several dealerships but found Quirk to be most responsive to our questions. The salesman Phil McCabe answered all of our questions and was very patient with us. We negotiated what we thought was a very good price and purchased it within a few days. He did not hassle us like some of the other dealers we visited. All in all it was a great sales experience and I would recommend visiting Phil before you buy a Mazda from any other dealer.

Awesome Staff

by scooby88 on 12/18/2010

I recently purchased my new Mazda 3 from Kevin and Mike. I researched the car online and they responded within minutes faster than the two other dealers did. The process was easy and quick. I got to the dealership and my new car was sitting outside ready for me to take it for a spin. The process took less than an hour, other than my insurance company it was great! These guys are professional, polite, and very knowledgeable. I had an awesome experience here and I will continue to send my business to them and tell my friends and family. Thank you Quirk Mazda!!

best experience

by sony1432 on 12/16/2010

All in all the best experience I ever had at a dealership. I have been to a few other dealerships before I went to Quirk and when I got there I was excepting the worst. On the contrary, the were the best! I was welcomed to the dealership by a young man named Ledion, he knew everything about the Mazda 3 which made my job easier. Long story short, between buying the car and picking it up. I was in and out of there in two hours. Hat off to you guys...

Worst Experience Ever

by mazdaowner7 on 12/05/2010

I'm not usually one to take the time to write reviews but I felt it was necessary given the experience I had with Quirk Mazda in Quincy. I found a reasonably priced vehicle for sale on-line and inquired about it. The person on the phone was helpful and sent me the requested information. I was surprised they didn't harass me afterwards with daily emails or phone calls which was nice compared to other dealers. I decided to go look at the vehicle and I was willing to make an offer. My previous Mazda3 was totaled by a tree several weeks earlier so I was planning on using the insurance money to buy the vehicle. The car was fine and so we "had a seat at the table." They stated they wouldn't even discuss price with me if I wasn't going to buy the car that day. I explained my situation that i was waiting for the check and could make an offer and bring cash with me the following weekend. They said I would have to buy the car that day and I could finance it. We left. I decided that I would make an offer on the vehicle because it was a lower price and was certified and was manual...all options I was looking for in a replacement Madza3 hatchback. I emailed on offer and never heard from them...no phone call, email response, nothing. So I waited a couple of days and checked on their website to see if the car was still available and noticed they had dropped it $500, making the price of the car lower than my offer. So I emailed them to make say that I would purchase the vehicle. The dealership is 2.5 hours from my house so I called to ensure it was still available and let them know I would be buying it that day. The man on the phone specifically said, "we'll get it ready for you to take home." I get to the dealership and they ask when I want to pick it up. I said today and they treated me like a complete idiot and said I couldn't that it would have to be registered and they don't do temporary plates. The guy, I believe his name is Frank was rude, unhelpful and lack basic customer service skills. We walked away...I probably would have saved a couple hundred bucks but I decided I would rather pay more and be respected. It's my hard earned money I'm spending and, let's face it, there are too many dealers in the world that would rather have your business. I just felt like they could car less about me or my business. No thanks. I recommend you stay far away from these guys.

Stay Away

by tim02144 on 04/20/2009

This dealership is deceptive at best; I would suggest that you stay away. They had a Mazda 3i Touring advertised for $13595. I called the dealer and spoke with a sales manager, I asked if the car was still available and he said yes it was, this was at 3PM on a Monday. I got all the details, engine size, interior / exterior color, all options this car had installed etc and wrote everything down. We also talked about financing and I asked if there were any hidden or additional charges. He said there was a $299 processing fee, $111 for plates / registration and $29 for inspection. I go down to the dealer the next morning at 10 Am and I meet the same guy, he hooks me up with a sales person and all the while I am saying that I am here to test drive the car in the ad for $13595. The sales guy grabs the keys and we go for a test drive. I say if the terms are still the same I want the car. He goes away and comes back 20 minutes later and writes down a number, $16200 + $780 destination charge so we are now talking $17000 for a car that was advertised at $13595. OK, now I know they are screwing with me, I ask what happened to the $13595 price and he tells me that car was sold yesterday. I ended up walking out, the car I test drove was the exact same year, model, color and had exactly all the same options as the one advertised and I am sure it was the same car, I had written everything down in detail before I went in Bottom line, the specials they have advertised they have no intention in selling theses cars at these prices and they will never tell you about the destination charge until you are in the door. Also, the same car is still listed on their site for the same price and I am sure if someone called today they would tell them it is still available. I ended up going to a dealer in Norwood and buying there.

Don't even bother, the absolute WORST!

by jewelz on 03/02/2009

I think my title says it all. I could write for days on what this dealership did wrong. I dealt with Filmore, who called incessantly, as well as other sales reps. One of the other sales reps called to confirm my appointment and stated that Filmore would not be in and I should ask for him; they are ruthless. Once I got there, he (Filmore) acted as if he never spoke to me before. I sent in a pre-approval application spoke with a finance guy a number of times and this of course meant absolutely nothing. After they ran my credit for a second time (I know this because I checked) they told me that my previous car loan was still showing and they couldn't do anything. They couldn't tell me this before I drove 35 miles!!!!!! I told them it was paid in full. Each time I tried to speak to Filmore he would want away while I was in mid-sentence. Then once he realized he realized there was not going to be a deal that day; he said excuse me, walked away and started to deal with another customer. I just stood up and walked out without a word. Actually, the whole reason I am writing this review, as I really don't have the time, is he actually called me today to follow-up! Are you kidding me?!!

Not helpful and actively lost a sale

by dajavier on 12/05/2007

I just want to say that we leased Mazda6 in 2004 partially due to the great experience we had w/the salesman, Dick, and the ok experience with the sales/finance mgr. When my wife and I stopped by, we know what we wanted to buy upon returning the lease. A Mazda3 5 door, manual, leather, Touring or Grand Touring. Again, same song and dance. How about a sedan or a 6? You really want an automatic, etc. Wait, meet with my manager. Wait, meet with my manager's manager. We asked about different lease end options, and you would have thought we asked them how to turn lead into gold. Completely useless. Same night, we go to Mazda Gallery and though it wasn't easy, worked out a deal with a helpful guy who responded to our clear requests/interests. Hell, he even put together an attractive deal on a Mazdaspeed 3! However, at the end, we got a Mazda3, GT, Manual, Galaxy Grey Mica and I still can't figure out why Quirk couldn't have worked out same way. Quirk experience was like a nightmare timeshare sales pitch. Expect no drinks to make it bearable.

brushed off at Quirk Mazda.

by wsimmons1 on 08/19/2007

My wife and I stopped in here on a Sunday to take a look at the Mazda 6 hatchback. There were a couple of salesmen outside. I told him exactly what I was there to do: check out the Mazda 6 and see if it's the car for us. He walked us around a couple of cars from the outside only (didn't invite us to look in one or sit in one), then he said we needed to go inside to fill out some paperwork. After I was honest with him and told him that we were not going to buy that day, but wanted to see if the Mazda 6 was the right car for us, he said, "ok, i'll go check on our inventory." A few minutes later he came back and said, "sorry, we can't let you do a test drive today because we're too short-handed". I was really surprised by this. He said, "that's our policy. We only do test drives if you have an appointment". I've never heard of a policy like this. Looking around the showroom, they certainly didn't look busy. I only saw one other couple in there. In fact, there were a couple of salesmen waiting outside for the next customers to come in. So, I pressed back on it and told him that I thought I was getting "brushed off" and that I would like to talk to his manager. He walked me over there and the manager took one quick look at me and said, "I'm busy, I'll talk to you in a minute" and then continued his conversation with another salesmen. Very rude. I was wearing a t-shirt and jeans while I was there. Maybe they didn't respect me because I wasn't wearing a suit and tie on a Sunday? Not sure. We stormed out of there and they didn't seem to care one bit. If you are not buying that day, they are too busy for you at Quirk. It's better to stand around outside waiting for a fancier customer, then try to get me interested in a Mazda. This dealer is not recommended! We went out of our way to drive over there and we will never go back.

Rude & arrogant, only allowing test-drive if buying same day..

by nocty on 07/22/2007

I walked into Quirk Mazda's lot today, knowing exactly what I wanted: 2007 Mazda MAZDA3 s Sport 4dr Wagon (2.3L 4cyl 5M) in a dark color. I was approached by a Salesman who did not introduce himself to us. The first question was if we were looking to buy today, upon which I said it depended on whether or not they had what I wanted. I was then questioned why I want a Manual transmission. Well, I've only ever driven a manual the past 15 years and I don't want an automatic. I was then asked why I want the hatchback and not the sedan. Well, I'm sure there's a reason why I asked for the Wagon? Ok, so turns out there's only a sunlight silver s Sport 4dr Wagon, but I was looking for a darker color. He then explained that the silver was much better looking than the Galaxy Gray Mica because the Galaxy Gray had no contrast. At that point, my boyfriend pointed out that color is a matter of preference.. We asked if we could take the sunlight silver for a testdrive since I haven't testdrove an s Sport before. We were told that we could testdrive it if we were willing to buy today, which went like this: "Can we take the silver for a testdrive?" "You can buy it." "Are you saying we can't take it for a testdrive?" "If you buy today". I then said we'd rather go somewhere else if this was the case since I can't commit to buying today. He thanked us and walked away. My boyfriend (in a very friendly manner) called after him telling him we didn't catch his name, but he said it didn't matter and continued to walk. One of the other salesmen close-by was kind enough (though earlier he only introduced himself to my bf, though he isn't even the one looking for a car..) to let us know that our Salesman's name was Andrew/Andy. Upon asking the second Salesman, we were told that it's not custom that they will only let you test-drive if you buy the same day. Reading the other reviews, this is obviously not the case, but instead my experience seems to be the norm. Worst customer service ever. And I potentially would/could have walked away with a new car today.
