Used Q5 Engine needed replacing after driving just over 30k miles

by D Siglin on 08/17/2023

Had to replace engine on used Q5 we purchased after just over 30k miles. Five stars for the sales process. From my first email through paperwork and picking up the car were great. The downside actually was the car itself. We bought a used Audi Q5 whose engine lost compression on more than one cylinder after only 30k miles. Cost us $10k+ for replacement engine somewhere else. If you are considering a used car from here, ensure you have your own mechanic check it over and most importantly - perform a compression check on the engine itself. Emails to dealer have gone ignored.

Complete lack of customer service

by jbellmore on 08/17/2015

I had called to get some information on a pre-owned vehicle that was listed on the dealer's website and to inquire if it was still available. I spoke with a gentleman named Chris and was setup with an appointment to come see the vehicle the following day. Chris set me up with an appointment to meet with a salesman at 3:30 the next afternoon. When I setup the appointment I told Chris that I live a couple hours away and he told me that he set the appointment up for me but would give a call back on my cell phone if anything changed with the car's availability. So the following day we set out to come for our 3:30 appointment to check out the car, tried to call several times to verify the car was still available on the way but every time the desk transferred us the call was disconnected instead. We tried back 4-5 times along the way and same thing happened each time. Finally the time of our appointment was coming up and we were stuck in traffic along the turnpike so we called a final time to let them know we would be a few minutes late. Imagine our surprise when we were told the car was already sold! Needless to say I was absolutely disgusted by the lack of customer service after driving 2 and a half hours for absolutely nothing! Obviously cars get sold, things happen, but the fact that we received no call at all even 5 minutes before we were due to arrive! We would have just shown up and been told, sorry car isn't here anymore. That, to me, is completely and utterly unprofessional and unacceptable. So if you plan on driving any distance to visit this dealership I would advise against it!

Great experience

by holman13 on 05/26/2015

I had an exceptional experience at Audi Natick and am very happy with my recent purchase of an Audi Q5. My husband and I have both purchased cars from Jon Miranda and would recommend him highly to our friends and family. I am normally uncomfortable in a sales situation, but Jon put me immediately at ease. I was comfortable talking to him about what I was looking for and felt that he was knowledgeable and honest. He has followed up with me since my purchase to make sure I am enjoying my new car and comfortable with the many features. If you are looking for an Audi, I suggest you look at Audi Natick and ask for Jon!

Great Service

by lmarrine on 05/18/2015

All of my experiences at this dealership have been wonderful. This was my first trip in to service my car, and the service was timely, staff members were pleasant, and very fair pricing. Comes with a car wash and vacuum as well!

Great Experience

by jhmax on 03/20/2014

I had a wonderful car buying experience from Audi Natick and my salesman Wunna. First of all the showroom and facilities are amazing. I was greeted with a warm smile and handshake from Wunna who provided a great no pressure sales experience. He took extra time to make sure all my questions were answered and was able to locate a car with the all features I wanted. They really made the effort to make sure I was happy with everything. It was really a great experience.

Outstanding service!

by bnc_1 on 03/04/2014

I want to thank the sales team at Audi Natick for their honesty, sincerity, and helpfulness during my car shopping process. When it comes to luxury vehicles, oftentimes the salespeople at dealerships can be either intimidating or snooty, or both. The service I've received from the Bernardi team before my initial visit, during my shopping experience, and after purchasing my car has been a breath of fresh air. A little back-story to my situation; I was looking to trade in my older BMW and get a newer vehicle. I visited two BMW dealerships in the Boston area, and was very disappointed and put-off by the "service" I received. I have been driving a BMW since 2006, and I although I'm not expecting a red carpet, I did expect at least a smile and a genuine interest in my business for being loyal to the brand. Instead, the attitude the BMW teams gave me were along the lines of "shop here, or don't shop here. We don't care. There are plenty of people that want BMWs, so we don't necessarily need your business." Although these words were never mentioned, I certainly felt it. And even though I'm not someone that can write a fat check and drive off with any vehicle in the lot, I am still a young(er) professional that likes having a nicer car; and I do want to feel like I am an appreciated customer. I was introduced to Wunna Z., a sales representative. While having a conversation with him, there was no mention of any specific Audi vehicle. He wanted to get to know my situation; why I was shopping today, how a car fits in to my lifestyle, what cars have I driven in the past, what did I like about them, what did I not like about them, etc. I certainly felt he wanted to get to know my personality, driving habits, and lifestyle first, and from there be able to make an informed suggestion on a vehicle that would suit my needs. I test drove a few vehicles, and was able to chat with Wunna about the feel and handling of an Audi compared to other luxury cars. Afterwards, there was no pressure to buy; I asked for some time to think about it, and Wunna was more than happy to answer any questions I might have during my decision process. And his genuine sincerity came forth again during some email exchanges. Because of the outstanding service I had received (and also because Audi's are sweet rides) I was ready to make a decision. A few days later, Wunna and sales manager Charles S. worked diligently with me to come up with the numbers that made sense for my financial situation. Everything was laid out clearly and it was easy to make sense of everything; they were speaking in layman's terms, not 'dealer talk,' which made me very comfortable. And there were no surprises in the end. Wunna even walked me through the 'add-ons' which the finance team would sell me on, so I was well informed by the time I met with them. So thanks to the Audi Natick team, I have given up my BMW for an Audi. And if I receive this kind of service from Audi going forward, Audi has earned itself a new loyal fan.

Great Deal

by markvincent1 on 03/02/2014

I give 5 stars across the board for my experience at Audi Natick. I am a tough critic and can be demanding but I have to say I got great service from Wanna Z. and got an equally great price on a pre-owned vehicle that is outside of the brand. I pass this dealership on my daily drive and like how they put the prices of the new and used vehicles in very large white print on the windshields of all the cars facing RT 9. A 2013 Cadillac XTS, and it's price, caught my eye. I had looked into the XTS before and knew they were in the $50-60K price range, which is way out of my range. The price Audi had on the XTS seemed low so I figured the car had to be a base model with only front wheel drive. After passing by daily for about a month I finally decided I wanted to take a look. Much to my surprise, the car was not a base model but the Luxury model and was all wheel drive. I wasn't considering purchasing a car until this spring at the earliest but figured I had to at least investigate this one. As I walked into the dealership I was greeted by Wanna Z. with smile and a handshake. I usually bristle up when dealing with sales people. Wanna seemed like a no-pressure kind of guy who was more than willing to guide me in any direction I wanted to go. They don't usually sell Cadillacs at this dealership and had taken it in on trade. Wanna and I took it out for a ride and he informed me the best he could about the car and the dealerships pricing policy on used vehicles. He was informative and no nonsense. I was now seriously considering making the purchase. All I needed was some assurance that the car had been well maintained and that Wanna would take care of a couple of issues I noticed with the car. Wanna worked with the sales team and arranged a call with the previous owner of the car. After talking with the previous owner and trusting that Wanna would take care of my issues I agreed to purchase the car. Another sales associate, Charles S. had shown me how they came to price the car and several similar vehicle comps. I truly believe I got a great deal. Wanna personally took the car to the Cadillac dealership and had the warranty work done on it, keeping me informed all along the way. After only a few days he came to my house to pick me up and brought me to the dealership so he could deliver the car for me. Wanna stayed in touch with me via phone and text throughout the entire process and has also kept in touch AFTER the purchase. He has set up my first of two "complimentary" oil changes. The car is flawless. I couldn't be happier with it and my experience with Wanna. Ask for Wanna if you are in the market for an Audi or something else on their lot. I think you will appreciate his low-key personality and will definitely appreciate his tenacious efforts on your behalf. Thanks Wanna!

Outstanding Service! Outstanding Sales personnel!

by quadraj on 02/28/2014

In this day and age, it's all about customer experience and my experience began from the moment I stepped into the Audi dealership in Natick. A beautiful showroom with stunning cars graced the floors. The reception desk is situated further in the showroom, giving you a sense of invitation while at the same time not ensuring that the customer has the time to appreciate the environment and more importantly the cars on the showroom floor. In my past experiences when buying a new car and I've bought quite a few over the years on both sides of the Atlantic, in London and here in Boston, I have always experienced pushy sales people, finance people whom I refer to as magician's. You give them a number and they will make that happen for you, even if it means you go to your grave still paying for the car. :-) Anyhow, I digress. Back to my customer experience... allow me to share with you a little secret... I had received a flyer from Audi promoting their new A6 car and if you took that car out for a test drive, you would receive a gift card. I let my home with these words to my wife - Honey, I'm off to the Audi dealership to test drive the A6 and get a gift card. Imagine her surprise when I told her I ended up buying a Q7. So, now that you know my intentions and the outcome, allow me to elaborate on how I came to be the new proud owner of a Q7. When I entered the dealership, sales individuals did not rush over, the receptionist maintained eye contact while she very pleasantly said hello and welcome to Audi". I walked around the showroom taking in the view and finally, I made the decision to walk over to the receptionist and ask to speak with a sales rep. I was then introduced to Wunna Z. who during the course of our conversation happened to pick up on the fact that I was from England. Trust me, I've lost a lot of my English accent having lived in MA for over 10 years now, but once Wunna learned I was from England, a certain kinship started to grow as it turns out my friend, Wunna is also from Ole Blighty! :-) Wunna spent an unbelievable amount of time with me, trying to understand my needs (remember, my needs was a simple as walking out with a gift card) but then once we got talking, I revealed that I happened to be driving an 8 year old Benz and that I felt it may be time to consider a replacement. Even though, I had opened myself up to buying a potential replacement, still there was no pressure from Wunna for me to buy a new car. Instead, he wanted to know more about my lifestyle, my family etc. I could almost see the wheels turning in his head, wondering what would be the best car for me. Now, I will also reveal that I am a technology enthusiast. Wunna took this into consideration and after our conversations, asked me to consider a Q7 which would meet my lifestyle needs, my technology needs and most importantly, the Q7 in the showroom looked outstanding. I decided quite nonchalantly that I would go ahead and test drive the Q7, still thinking in the back of my mind that I was not really going to commit to buying a new car just yet. We then proceeded to take the Q7 out for a test drive and that was when I was sold. The car handles like a dream, the technology is cutting edge and I was really enjoying the whole unrushed experience. When we got back to the dealership, I asked Wunna to hypothetically, come up with some numbers and to get back to me, as I had now spent over 2 hours at the dealership, (which is nothing, remind me to tell you about the time I spend 8 hours at the Apple store)..Anyhow, a couple of days pass by and Wunna calls me and asks me to come back in as he would like to provide me with those numbers. Let me also mention that I had not revealed any personal information to this point, my credit score, my financial situation, whether my plan was to buy or lease... nothing. Wunna ran through the numbers with the objective that he and Audi would do everything possible to ensure that I, the customer would feel completely happy and satisfied with the end result. Wunna also introduced me to Charlie, his GM and I must also mention that Charlie was instrumental in ensuring that I got the absolute best deal of my life. Suffice to say, I ended up making the purchase decision and given my wonderful buying experience, I proceeded to take out all the additional coverage such as the Extended Warranty, Audi Service, Tires and Wheel replacement to name a few. Now you may be wondering why did I go with all this additional coverage… two reasons my friend…a) I do not want the Audi experience to end and want Audi to continue to deliver their exceptional service even after I have bought a car b) You have to meet Lamia.. Remember I mentioned magicians for finance people, well Lamia is exceptional. She was very concerned about getting me the best finance package that I could afford. She took her time to explain all the different options available, she also did not rush my decisions (even though, I found out later on that she missed her kids practice). To conclude, I want to thank everyone at Audi Natick, especially Wunna, Charlie, and Lamia for their outstanding service, going above and beyond the call of duty to deliver an exceptional customer experience. I can truly say that I have gained some new friends along this journey. Finally, you may be asking yourself... did I ever get that gift voucher?? Well my friends... you will have to go to Audi Natick to find out for yourself!!! Hope you enjoyed my little story and I look forward to many years with Audi. THANK YOU AUDI!!

The Gen Manager

by Holliston1975 on 07/18/2013

Overheard their Gen. Manager Steven S. speak of the customers - privately, he thought. Not a pretty story, let's just say: he thinks all customers hate and despise him and his staff. This is the mentality he goes in with in spite of forcing out some courtesy. Weird vibes from him and the shift he runs.

Very Good Experience

by erion on 06/22/2011

I just purchased a new A3 TDI and the experience was pretty good. Most of the communications were done by e-mail and phone, there was no pressure (other than mine!), while the final price agreed, was almost perfect. So far so good, and the purchase was a very painless experience. I would definitively recommend the place for any Audi interested potential buyers.

DO NOT BUY/LEASE OR GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP -> RIPOFF

by rusomafioso on 08/09/2010

Looking back at my experience with this dealership, I should have opted into going with a competitor right away. I have leased a vehicle from the past from these guys and this was going to be my second car that I was going to lease from them. I have NEVER EVER POSTED A REVIEW FOR ANYTHING, BUT I WAS SOOOO DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR SERVICES/CUSTOMER CARE THAT I HAD TO, ABSOLUTELY HAD TO WRITE THIS REVIEW!!! First, I came in and had to wait for 30 minutes to test drive a vehicle, then right after the test drive the sales guy started pressuring me into buying the car that same night. We agreed that I would return the following day at a designated time. Also, that same night, he gave me a quote of what the vehicle would cost. I went home and started doing my homework, I called up up competing dealership in order to get their quote. I was shocked to find out that a competing dealership was offering the exact same car with the same options for $130/month less ($4680 less!!!). It felt great being a LOYAL customer of Bernardi's. So, I went into the dealership with a competing quote the following day and had to wait 30 minutes again. This time it was because my sales guy lost my paper work and could not find it. So after 30 minutes of searching for it, he began filling it all out from the beginning. I would not mind waiting, but by this time I already lost 1 hour just waiting for these guys to get their act together. When we started negotiating, my sales guy had great news, Bernardi agreed to give me $40/month on the price they offered me the day before. Great, except another dealership offered me $130/month discount. So, I was honest with him and told him like it is. After 2 hours of not so pleasant negotiating and with the sales guy having to go outside a couple of times to catch some fresh air and asking me what he should say to his boss, because his boss would not budge, they came down on the price. The funny thing is I already had another deal on hand and they still tried to charge me more money!!! Simply, ridiculous. I paid the down payment and all of the fees that same day. When asked when I wanted to pick up my car, I told them that I would pick it up in 5 days and asked them specifically to make sure that all of the paper work is ready by then. The following day, I called my insurance company to ask what needed to be done to get the new car insured. They told me that my dealership was suppose to send them some kind of paperwork and that they still have not received it (even though it's already been 24 hours since I technically purchased the vehicle). I called the dealership and my sales guy was once again clueless about the paperwork that needed to be done. He went to check with the Finance Manager about the Insurance that needed to be filled out. He told me that I should be all set. I called the following day to my insurance and they told me that they still had not received any paperwork. I had to call again to the dealership and only after 3 days did they send anything to the insurance company. So on the 5th day, I called my insurance company. Since it was a weekend (and yes the dealership sent them documents over the weekend), they only received the paperwork on Monday. Moreover, they did not even receive a phone call from my dealership to make sure the paperwork went through and to make sure I was all set. Three hours before my designated pickup time the insurance was looking at my documents on my new vehicle for the first time. If this was not already bad, it gets even better. An hour before my designated pickup time I got a call from my sales guy telling me that the insurance company is holding up and they are waiting on them to process my papers (well, yes if you can't expect anyone to get you an insurance in 2 hours on a new vehicle, that's why I gave them 5 days!!!). Then, I politely offered to stop by my insurance company's office to check in and make sure that they have all of my pap

Great Service, Great Consultants, and Great Product.

by goalie32 on 03/17/2010

I recently made the switch to an Audi from a Mercedes. Quite possibly the best decisions I have made in years. Not only did I receive a great product in the Audi S6, but also the people strewn throughout the building were people of a caliber I have never seen in my shopping experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by the aroma of a fresh cup of coffee, a woman with a brilliant smile, and other customers partaking in daily activities as they waited for their vehicles to be serviced. The receptionist asked if I was there to see someone in particular. As I started speaking, a young man, who immediately extended his hand and thanked me for coming in, approached me. He was well groomed, and had a smile that could blind you. A trip that is so often labeled as a horrific experience, turned out to be quite pleasurable. As we were discussing what I was looking for, the conversation switched to friendly banter and I was introduced to the staff. I did not once feel pressured, nor did I have a complaint in any form, especially price. Listen, if we are looking at Audi's, we all know the price range and what to expect! It is amusing to me that so many people want to flaunt their affluence, yet complain about pricing. I ended up purchasing the S6 about a week later, and once again was re-introduced to the people of Bernardi Audi. They made me feel like I was part of the family. So much I still keep in touch and stop by to take my consultant to lunch at least once a month. At this specific dealership, I was not sold by a salesman, but I was sold by a newfound friend. Cheers to more business in the future Bernardi!

The most horrible car experience ever!!!!

by dring52 on 10/16/2009

Went to price a new 2009 A4 and was given a good price on a 2010. I was sent a P&S to sign the following day. I got at least 10 phone calls from various high pressue sales people to pressure me into agreeing to their terms via an email. They were harrassing me all day and called my husband as well. They even gave the old sales tactic "if you don't agree in 30 minutes the deal is off the table". I finally caved to the pressure and agreed and gave them a $1000 deposit over the phone. I emailed and called within 24 hours and told them I had changed my mind. I did not want to do business with such an unprofessional group. They refused to refund my deposit. I had never taken a test drive there and the car was still at the dock and was never seen. I am now in the process of filing a dispute with American Express, the Attorney General and my personal attorney is looking into this for me. A reputable dealership would refund a deposit especially since the car was not even available and it was less than a day. Bad way to run a business. The owner of the Bernardi Group and the General Manager are all aware of this problem and do not care. Stay away from Bernardi Audi!!!!!!!

Bad Experience

by NewtonBuyer on 12/27/2008

They lied to me and wasted my time. I contacted them by phone for a quote on a 2009 Audi A4 specifying the color and options I wanted. They said they had this car on the lot, with some extra options they would give me "for free." They quoted me a very competitive price and said they would take my 2004 Audi in trade for $13,000. I confirmed this in an e-mail and Steve Shenouda, Manager, replied that he and his manager, TJ LaPlante, were in agreement with these terms and that there would be no further fees and "no surprises" if I came in to sign the deal. He promised not to waste my time. I went in with my checkbook to get the car and they then told me that 1) my 2004 wasn't worth $13,000 and added $700 to my new car price. 2) They then added back the destination charge of $825, 3) then added a "dock" charge of $294.75 that they said all dealers charge (they don't) and then told me 4) that I couldn't have the car I wanted with the "free" additional options because those options were costing them money. They added $1800 to the previously agreed-upon terms!!!! I walked out. Don't waste your time with the [violative content deleted] at Bernardi unless you want to pay them the price they demand and will lie to get.
