Great vehicle, great price, horrendous back-office experience

We had a very good buying experience at Balise Ford of Cape Cod right up until we hit the F&I office. From the point forward it has been a string of broken promises. We were promised a credit back on our deposit ($1,000), a refund of $895 (for a mistake on the bill of sale) and 1/2 refund of the doc prep fee. Fourteen days after we paid for our van, this children's charity has not received a dime and the salesperson hasn't responded to the last email we sent five days ago. The bill of sale had the incorrect model vehicle listed, the RMV-1 had an incorrect address, the business manager did not understand a tax exempt purchase and gave us a tax exempt form for resale, the financial mis-adventures with our owed credits all soured us on the experience. Great Transit cargo van, excellent pricing but that's where the happy story ends. Hearing nothing but crickets from the dealership, we started posting negative reviews. Then they responded with the old "check is in the mail" story and other excuses. Balise Motor Sales is a generally reputable automotive group. I have bought many vehicles from another of their Cape Cod stores without a single problem. The general manager of this dealership should be fired for the incompetent back-office operation there.

Extended Warranty

Bought a Ford Fusion at Balise Ford in Hyannis along with 7yr/100,000 mile extended warranty for my son. Realized afterward that the finance manager back dated the start date of the warranty to the original date of service for the car which was 2.5yrs earlier. the car I bought was 2 yrs old and had 11k miles. When I questioned the sales manager he indicated that they always back date warranties. Rally?? a person buys a warranty only to have these unscrupulous people back date the start date? Very unethical sales and finance people there!!

Wasted 6 Hours of Time for Nothing

I went to a local Ford dealer looking for an F-150 that I liked, but they didn't have any. They found one that fit my criteria but they did not own it. I get X-plan pricing, but they said they couldn't honor X-plan with a truck they didn't own. I found that Balise Ford in Cape Cod was the owner of the truck, so I called them and explained the situation. The salesman on the phone said that they would "easily" be able to beat the other dealers price on the truck and meet or beat the offer for the trade in. I drove 2 hours to get to the dealership, then had to wait for them to go to their other lot to get the truck. I asked that they take a look at my car and get the trade in value while we waited for that. It took a while before I was able to sit down with someone and go over that info. About a hour later, after all of the info was taken, they finally sent someone to go get the truck, so we had to wait some more for the truck to get their. When it showed up, it was dirty and it looked like an employee was using it as their personal truck. The salesman sat down with us and showed us their offers, They wanted $51 more for the truck than the othr dealership and offered $3000 less for our trade in. I showed them the numbers from the other dealership and reminded them that they said how easy it would be for them to beat the pricing on the truck and meet or beat the offer on the trade in. The salesman went and spoke with the manager and came back with a sheet that had the exact same numbers and a breakdown of how it all added up. They didn't even bother changing their offer, just tried to justify why it was worse. What kind of attempt to sell is that? I was extremely disappointed in them because I thought for sure I was going to be buying a new truck that day. Instead, I wasted 4 hours driving round trip and another couple hours at the dealership itself. A terrible experience over all, I guess I should be thankful that I have a good dealership so close by and not push my luck.

An Enjoyable Experience

Just completed a car deal from Balise Ford in Hyannis. Having bought numerous cars and trucks over the years, I can tell you that I never look forward to going through the whole process. After all was said and done, my salesmanThomas Regan not only made the experience a smooth one, he made it down right enjoyable! Any questions or concerns I had, he was able to address them, and my phone calls were ALWAYS returned promptly. So glad we finally have a dealership on Cape Cod that makes the whole car buying experience a pleasure.......and thanks again Thomas!

Great Experience in Hyannis

I have purchased a number of vehicles in my lifetime, and most of my purchases have been with different dealers. I've never received treatment from a dealer good enough to bring me back. However, I've changed my tune after my recent 2008 Mercury Mountaineer purchase. I mostly worked with Ali McLaughlin, who took the time to sit and listen to what I was looking for exactly. She showed me four different vehicles and gave me time to make the best decision. I was leaning toward the mountaineer, but told her I was on a strict budget and could only put so much down. Instead of trying to work me over, she spent her energy pressing the bank and her manager to make the deal work. In the end, she got to within $11 of my target payment (with help from her finance guru Adam Jones). I had no problem going $11 over my budget because I really felt these two were working hard for me. The paperwork went very smooth, which I can't say for many other car dealers. The icing on the cake was Ali driving to my workplace to drop off my registration and floor mats. I cannot remember the last time I wrote a review or took a survey such as this one, but with the time Ali and Adam invested, I feel they deserve the time it took to write this. Best automobile buying experience I've ever had. I told Ali and Adam that they'd always have a job at my company if they wanted to try something new. So Mr. Balise, take good care of these two because they could take your company to the next level some day.

Recent Purchase

We saw the Presidental Sale and could not believe the deal that was being offered to customers. We walked in and met Myles who patiently stayed with us answering all our questions. We test drove several vehicles before deciding on one. That night our son drove home his new car. The people in this dealership are extremely helpful in getting you into the right vehicle. Made buying a truck enjoyable

It was such a pleasure dealing with the employees at Balise Ford in Hyannis. They extremely helpful, professional and courteous. They were able to beat the three other dealerships that I had visited. I saved $3,000 and got a better F150. I would highly recommend Balise Ford.
