Zero follow through

Brought our brand new Rav4 Hybrid for accessories owed from the sale to be installed. Was supposed to be a two hour appointment for mud flaps and body side molding install. My Wife was waiting for the car. More than four hours later my Wife inquired and was told our Service Advisor (Nathanial Brungot) had left for the day. His replacement had no idea we were waiting for the car and apparently had no intention of calling to let us know it was completed. For all we know they might have closed and left us in the waiting room. No hand off, no follow through, no ownership. No Customer Satisfaction. The mud flaps and moldings look fine but they should since it took double the time promised.

On my own

We purchased a new Rav4 Hybrid with a very complex stereo/head unit. Once the day long task of paperwork and insurance hoops were jumped through it was finally time for delivery. Disappointed to say the actual delivery was practically blown off. Sebastian Pereyra (my Salesman) pulled the car up to the door and that was it. No explanation of the controls, no explanation of the complicated stereo. He only offered “call me if you need help setting up the radio”. When I finally did text him he wasn’t working and wanted me to stop back the next day. Otherwise have someone in Service help me. (Service is another disappointing story). The most I’ve ever spent on a vehicle and the most unsatisfactory delivery I’ve ever had. Unsure if I actually would recommend this Dealership.

Always great service

I had my 2016 Toyota Highlander in for service. I had an oil and filter change along with air filter and engine air filter changed. I also had two lights out up front that I did not notice were out. I thought I needed brakes on the vehicle but was told I did not. I love the fact that I was told to hold off on brakes. That does not happen at many places. The car was done in no time at all. I do take very good care of it and in turn I mostly only need oil changes. No major repairs. I have 80,000 miles on my vehicle and have no problems with it at all. I would recommend a Toyota as I have been buying them since 1986!! I am always happy with my vehicles and take good care of them. IRA Toyota Danvers MA

Disappointed

I brought my vehicle in for my winter tire change instead of the tire rotation that is part of the service plan I paid for. When I got there, the service writer told me it would cost me an additional $40. I had already learned that there was no additional charge when I purchased the service plan. It gets better. After an hour, the service adviser came to tell me my car was all set, and I was on my way with no additional cost. As I went to leave, I realized they hadn't put my winter tires on. Back in, I go. Apparently the service advisor wrote it up wrong. Ok, mistakes happen. They take the car back, and 15 minutes later, the service advisor comes out to tell me it will cost me $180 to set my TPM's. After having me sit there for an hour without performing the service I needed, they are now trying to charge me $180 for a 1-minute procedure. At the end of it all, I got only my tires put on and TPM's not activated. I got there at 3:27pm and didn’t get my car back until 5:45. They offered me a free detail for my troubles I experienced. I requested my money back for the service plan I purchased, and I will no longer be doing business with IRA Toyota.

Good results, bad timing

The work done seems fine. The problem I wanted fixed is fixed. But I made an appointment to facilitate getting in and out, and I heard nothing for four hours. Why schedule an appointment? They ended up keeping the car overnight.

2 1/2 hours is too long to take for an oil change!

My son arrived for a 7:20 am appointment for an oil change and sticker. He waited and waited. Two and a half hours later it was done. I think this is an unreasonable amount of time to wait. The car was like new with only 2200 miles on it. I think they way overbooked and we should have been told when booking to select another day/time!

40,000 mile service

It took way too long. I went to this location because they had more availability and it was closer to my work location. It took 3.5+ plus for the basic 40,000 service. I think the longest I waited prior was an hour and 45 minutes, and I thought that was crazy and I was apologized for it. I would’ve thought they at least give me and inspection sticker for the wait. But, they didn’t. They instead tried to sell me more stuff, which I inquired about with parties, whom made it clear it was absolutely not necessary. I’m not sure who you decided to take before me, but it’s good business to be loyal to appointments. Or, you end up hours behind and have employees running around trying to find people and leave customers with nowhere to sit.

Purchased 4 new tires for 2019 RAV 4. Chose the Yokohama Avid Ascend. My Toyota dealer's price was $39.00 lower than a local tire shop chain here in MA. The service dept was a bit slow so I had them change engine oil at the same time. Tire service Advisor was very informative, knows cars (a real car guy). Work done was good as expected and pricing was good other than the usual unexpected additional charges like shop supplies etc. The only gripe I have is that the tech never wiped down the tires or rims to remove the "Soap" excess from installing tires on the rims. Not a huge deal, but the car had been detailed the day before and it definitely looked it. Kind of WTF in my mind.

Oil change / tire rotation

I got an oil change Saturday 10/19/2023 @6AM . My service advisor was awesome ! I actually will try to schedule all my service thru him if possible, with that said, unfortunately, I had another issue. My first service the technician covered the whole inside of my driver seat, steering wheel, shifter door, panel window and armrest with oil. The service manager took it right over to detail, and had it cleaned immediately the car had 1000 miles on it. when I just brought it in for a 5000 mile oil change, I joked with the service advisor about it and told him what happened and jokingly said make sure the guy covers everything good with oil this time and he laughed and he said don’t worry about it. Well I got my keys in my armrest was covered with engine oil. I honestly have no idea why these things happen to me. I brought it to the guys attention. He had it run over the detail again and had the driver seat, and I am rest, cleaned without hesitation. I’m getting a little bit frustrated . I want to love my car I want to love Ira Toyota like I had in the past, but my patience is wearing thin.

25,000 service and inspection sticker

My car sat within view for over one hour without ira notifying me that the service was complete. I did receive a text message stating my car had completed service but the Ira representative did not notify me. I had to go out to the drive thru area and ask.

This dealership is excellent, clean, and efficient. The service advisors are very helpful and no what they’re talking about. Unless something unexpected pops up their estimation of the time to complete the job is pretty accurate. I always wait till the work is done and the rooms are comfortable. You can even have unlimited coffee and breakfast is also available.
