Best Price - Like service deparment

by gnart on 04/05/2012

I bought a Camry XLE 2012 from them. In 2004, we bought a Matrix and liked the service department. After shopping around (in 2004 and now), they had the lowest price ($1400 to $2400 lower than everybody else - see my post in the Toyota Camry buying experience forum). I picked the vehicle from their web inventory. I went to the dealer (bypassed the salesman by telling them we had a salesman) and went directly to the GM with our OTD offer. He looked up the vehice and came back with his lowest out the door price. He told me to pick a salesman to have the paperwork done. The process was slow. The salesman and his manager took me to the car and explained "everything" in details.

Terrible service

by lutet on 05/25/2009

I went in to buy a car, sales rep left at sitting for over half an hour just to locate a camry and did not communicate at all. We had a large down payment and so decided we wouldn't give them our money with that poor service, we walked out and found a better deal withing the area, with better customer service. 355 Toyota's loss.

Good at wasting customer TIME

by pthang on 05/04/2009

I come in and I ask to test drive a CAMRY 2009. The salesman needs to get approval from the manager. It took 35 minutes waiting. He came back empty handed. So I said OK , I don't want to drive anymore, please tell me the lowest price of a LE camry 2009. It took nearly an hour for the saleman to ask the manager. Finally the manager comes and proposed me to buy the 2010 model for 1500 higher than I anticipated. So I walk. These folks just don't know how to sell. auto parts prices are reasonable here. Workmanship is average , not too exciting.

Bad sales practice

by Comproencash on 12/25/2008

I was trying ti buy a car for my wife in cash, we were dealing for 3 days (maybe they don't like to do that, and make you pay the MRSP getting a profit of US$ 7,000) and after we get an agree and I fill al the papers they just say: "We make a mistake and this car should be sell for 1,500 more". So??? what they think?? because it was 24th morning and the car suppose to be a Christmas present for my wife I should pay more??? Thanks god, I was able to pay cash for the car, so I went to another dealer and in 30 minutes I bought a car, no hassle. [violative content deleted] PD: Just an advice: Check very carefully the car before to make a business with them, because they gonna take out some stuff from the car offered when you buy the car (floor pads, etc).

Unethical Dealership and Slow Purchase Process

by roberthall13 on 02/04/2008

I located the 2008 Corolla that I wanted and put a $500 deposit on the vehicle. I returned later that day and waited for hours, in between times different people would try to sell me dealer packs such as maintenance package, accessories, etc., which I declined. I was also asked to sign a federal form required on sales of cars; I read the form and it was an authorization for the dealership to sell my contact information to third parties! I declined, which required a manager's signature, of course, same silly games the high pressure dealers always play. I was finally introduced to the finance guy, who proceeded to leave the room for 15 minutes. Everyone was aware that I needed to get to the back to get a certified check before the bank closed, so the time stress was even more critical. Since I was not financing with the dealer, I did not want them to run a credit check and declined to provide my ssn; I'm convinced that some of the stalling tactics were to get me to apply for credit at the dealer. After I had signed over the title to my trade-in and was just about to sign the sales contract, a manager stopped me and informed me that the car with 41 miles on it had been in a collision but had been repaired with genuine Toyota parts, but that before the sale could be completed I would have to sign a damage liability disclosure form. I looked at the 2 pages of parts that were replaced and the $2,000+ costs of the repairs and noticed that the paperword said 5 speed man. When I pointed this out, I was told the automatic was a 5 speed, which is incorrect. I also pointed out that the model year was 2007, and I was purchasing a 2008. I requested that the VINs be compared and was told they matched. So I'm not sure if the car I planned to purchase was the one that had been in a wreck or not. The deal wasn't good enough for the risk of purchasing a majorly damaged car. The price was almost $800 less than the other 4 price quotes that I received, so I'm not sure if this was a way to back out of the transaction because the $1000 rebate was mistakenly subtracted twice in the original quote, or if the dealer knew all along that the damaged car would be worth less and waited until the end to spring the surprise on me hoping that I wouldn't back out of the deal. Either way, I say that the dealer was unethical. I was told that only the finance guys know about damaged vehicles, so that is why I didn't find out until the end of the transaction about damage disclosure and having to sign the waiver. This seems highly unlikely adnd plain wrong. In addition, as of 10 days after the transaction, the dealer has still not reversed the credit card deposit, so I will have to pursue this issue with the credit card company. I plan to file additional complaints with Toyota and state authorities. Buyer beware!

Poor Sales Experience

by luv_intel on 10/21/2007

I bought a 2007 Toyota RAV4 from here and the sales portion of it took almost 6 hours. The finance rep kept messing up the paperwork. At times I could not understand what the finance rep was saying. Half way through signing paperwork, the "DARCARS Protection Package" that I wanted was NOW not part of the deal. I was told it was taken off so that they could meet my price. Well, I was NOT told they took off the "DARCARS Protection Package." The finance rep. then had to redo up some of the paperwork to fix the error. Also, I bought the vehicle on Oct. 3, and as of Oct. 20 my trade-in has not been paid off by the dealership, and I had a payment due on that loan on Oct. 19. I will definately go elsewhere when I shop for another car.
