Sloppy work

by Alilindsey on 06/05/2023

They charged me for parts I didn’t need, they took firber to fix my car I’m snapping in pieces of my car everyday. I had to take it back because they forgot to connect a piece in the dashboard. For them to have my car that long and still not out everything back properly is ridiculous

TERRIBLE

by Precious on 05/19/2023

THIS EXPERIENCE WAS TERRIBLE!!! EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SERVICE/REPAIR was HORRIBLE beginning with the lies told by the advisor, omission of details from the advisor to the level of work completed. My vehicle was kept for over a month with nothing being done to it even after speaking with my advisor more than a dozen times over the course of the weeks. This led to me spending OVER $2500 out of my own pocket THAT I DIDNT HAVE for rental vehicles so that I would have transportation to work while my car was in their possession. My credit cards surely took a major hit due to this. I was not informed of any pertinent information regarding any additional payments needed in addition to the warranty that I needed to pay which was OVER $1200 before the car would be started and was not aware that my car had not been touched for almost a month. I was promised multiple times that my car was next in line to be completed but never ONCE informed that there was additional requirements needed before that could take place. I received a message from my vehicle stating that my tire needed servicing for air pressure. I also noticed that there is a broken part in my trunk that I don’t know where it belongs and also my jack is out of place and laying in the trunk area. I know for a FACT that I had not taken it out of place because I don’t change tires EVER!! So that means that someone at the dealership had been in my vehicle touching my belongings without my permission. I reached out about it as well ONLY to not have anyone address the issue. Afterward I find out that my advisor had been fired. I would much rather have just spent the $1200 and had my car fixed than to spend money on rentals. In conclusion I spent more out of pocket for my vehicle and rentals than the entire cost of the repair and all I was told is “I’m sorry.” SORRY DOES NOT SUFFICE for this kind of negligence. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION RECEIVED!!

One Happy Customer

by JK Armstrong on 11/11/2022

I purchased a 2022 Mailbu from Ourisman Chevrolet in Marlo Heights, MD. I was very impressed with the whole experience. I must give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Zane Carroll, our salesman. He walked my daughter and I through the whole entire process with ease and answered all of our questions. He, as well as, the staff of Ourisman Chevrolet were GREAT!!!

Highly Disappointed

by Never Again on 08/31/2022

I brought my car in on July 21, 2022. I was scheduled to meet Asia Diaz. She was not there. I was then taken care of by Christina. After having my car for a few days, she contacted me telling me the issues with my vehicle. They included a faulty fuse box and issues with my brakes that would require the calipers to be changed. My vehicle was then at the Marlow Heights Ourisman Chevy for over a month before I was contacted about the status. In the interim, I was constantly contacted by a salesperson named Terrence. I mentioned to him I was NOT interested in buying a new vehicle numerous times but still he called. When I was finally contacted about my vehicle on August 24, 2022, I was told it would be a week before my car was ready. I was then called on Friday by Christina stating my vehicle was ready. I was charged $1852 for the work done. I drove my car twice before the brakes began locking up again which was the issue I began with. All in all, my vehicle was held for over a month and I frankly don’t know if any service was done on it. I have called the service team multiple times since then and got no answer. Truthfully, it almost feels like I was scammed. I never planned to buy another Chevy in my lifetime but this experience definitely put the nail in the coffin. I plan to go back up to the dealership on Thursday to speak to a manager (I called a manager and got no answer)

Me.

by Yohanes on 07/15/2022

At the service department, the person didn't do his job and charged me extra. Before I went to this dealer, I called and asked how much I have to pay just to unlock my radio, and they told me $125 only. However, this guy added up unnecessary expenses and charged me around $240!!! Additionally, at the service department when they unlock my stereo, they didn't even put all the screws back to attach the radio on the dashboard. I told this the same guy, but he didn't even care because I already paid!

Be Wary

by Neachra on 06/27/2022

I came to the dealership because of low tire pressure. I went to this particular dealership for the first time on June 8th 2022 for an oil change package. When I received my car back that day I noticed that the right passenger tire pressure was still as low as it was when I first brought in the vehicle. I brushed it off and thought the pressure would adjust during the day. Unfortunately it did not, and what this showed me was that my tire pressure was not checked during this initial visit and neither was the tire rotation which is supposed to be included in the oil change package that I paid for. My right tire pressure continued to be low which is the reason why I brought my vehicle in a 2nd time on 06/25/2022. I informed the agent that my tire pressure was still low and that either it was not checked during my original visit on the 8th or there had to be an issue with the sensor. After the car was in the back I received a call from the service agent stating that there was a nail in the side wall and that I needed a new tire. (I was never shown this so I don't know how true this statement was). I was quoted a price of over $350.00 for one tire including balancing not including taxes and fees. I initially agreed to the tire but before the work was started on the new tire, I changed my mind as I believed the price was exorbitant. After receiving my vehicle back with the spare tire I now notice there is a noticeable noise (grinding) coming from the passenger wheel well, especially when I brake. This noise was not there before I gave my vehicle to the dealership. I purchased this vehicle brand new not even 2 years ago from Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie and this is my 2nd vehicle from GM. I am absolutely horrified to drive my vehicle as I am concerned that this dealership did something to it. I hope to hear from someone to resolve this issue. It is my hope that nothing malicious was done to my vehicle in hopes of monetary gain or malicious intent by this dealership, and that this, whatever has been done to my vehicle, was just an honest mistake.

Terrible Service Reps

by Cheri Gantt on 02/24/2022

I am not happy with the service I received from this dealership. The service tech had poor communication and tried to up sale a service on my car that was not needed. I originally came in for a check engine light and had to return for the same error code after they were supposed to have fixed the problem. The service tech Bobbi lied to my face and when i had a phone conversation with him, he hung the phone up on me. The service I received from this dealership was horrible and i would like to put in a complaint with the cooperate office.

If I could give zero stars, I would!

by Lucky1 on 02/17/2022

Do not, under any circumstances, work with Maydel Gomez. I was just looking, which I explicitly told him. This person held me up for hours; unbeknownst to him, I have Lyme disease which affects my concentration. I'd been without my ADD medication for hours and was physically & mentally exhausted, and told him of both issues. He took complete advantage of that by putting numerous documents in front of me, one of them being a credit application! The words were jumping around in front my eyes...and after the fact, he had the audacity to tell me that it would be a "soft pull." There's no such thing. I was disgusted when the credit manager came out, but worst of all, my credit score dropped by several points. If you value integrity, honesty, and professionalism, stay far away from him. He claims to have worked with high-end car sales in the past, but I highly doubt that. The dealership is not recommended by the Better Business Bureau.

Exactly What People Hate About Car Dealerships

by NotAMark on 04/17/2020

This place is the epitome of everything people hate about car dealerships. It starts with the bait and switch. The website shows the MSRP, crossed off, followed by the "Ourisman Price" discount, to arrive at the "Transparent Price." In retrospect, the choice of the word "transparent" here is hilarious. This is followed by GM discounts to arrive at the "Sale Price." This is the last time you will ever see anything even close to this price. We arrive at the dealership, and they have a car that matches the description on the website, but apparently has a different VIN. We are shown the retail price on the sticker--150% of the "Sale Price" and told confidently that it's "worth every penny." This is an odd statement, because the salesman was clearly not particularly familiar with this particular model. I mention that they had a much better price online and am assured that if they have essentially the same car on the lot but with different VIN on the website they will generally match the internet price. They will not match the internet price. So we take our test drive. Nice car. Definitely considering it at the advertised price, though not in a rush and planning to test out a few of its contemporaries before making a final decision. When we get back to the dealership, the tired routine where the salesman disappears for long stretches of time to "see what he can do" and "talk to the manager" starts. He comes back to us the first time with an "out the door" price that knocked a whopping 10% off the sticker price. He shows us a worksheet with "ranges" of monthly payments based on that price and a particular interest rate, because apparently, division is hard. Then he launches into how a bigger down payment will reduce the monthly payment. You know, super obvious stuff that has nothing to do with how much they are actually asking you to pay for the vehicle. This is followed by about 10 minutes of pointless stem-winding about things that also have nothing to do with how much they are actually asking you to pay for the vehicle. We are clearly poisoned by the "transparent" price. He explains they put those prices online because otherwise people will go to their competitors instead. Gee, you don't say. He wants to know what, between the "transparent" price and the price he has offered, will get us to walk out the door with the car. Time for another 15 minute disappear and "talk to the manager" session. Good news, for us, they can give us a price that is a mere 22% above the "transparent price." The paper now has a handwritten "for Today" on it. More pressure follows. We try to make clear that we are not driving the car off the lot today. After about 10-15 minutes of this, we are asked if we can talk to the managers on the way out, which means, essentially, more "explaining" to us how monthly payments work. Finally, we escape, exhausted, but at least not hosed. If anyone thinks the "out the door cost" wouldn't be followed with a bunch of made-up fees and charges, I have an amazing bridge to sell you at a "transparent price."

Buyer BEWARE!

by My66honcho on 11/13/2018

I found a vehicle from this location online. I called the dealership and negotiated a price. I would pay the advertised price with NO dealer or additional fees except tax, tag, and title fees. I was working out of town so my wife went to get the vehicle. 2 weeks later i'm home looking at the papers and see we were charged a $300 dealer fee! After messaging and phoning I may as well have been talking to the wall. Very crooked and dishonest dealership! Beware!!

by Tkrstich88 on 07/23/2018

We were told by a manager the price of a new car and he explained the only additional fees would be the normal tag and tax. We drive 3 hours to find an additional 3 -4000 added to the price he promised! Very dishonest management!

Horrible Service!!!

by tasiamoodie on 02/05/2016

I received notice informing me of 2 recalls on my 2011 Chevy Impala, within that notice Oarsman Chevrolet of Marlo Heights is listed as the dealership I am to take my vehicle to be serviced for my safety. I've called on numerous occasions and have been hung up on, transferred (then eventually hung up on), left messages and no one has returned my call. Today, February 5, 2016 @ 5:51 PM I called yet again to schedule an appointment for my recall service and an Erica picked the phone up. I told her I was calling because of a recall and she repeatedly asked me for a recall number, I informed her the paper did not have a recall number it just says "THE IGNITION KEY SAFETY RECALL INCLUDES: 2011 CHEVROLET IMPALA (VIN # *************)." She asked again what the recall number was, I repeated what the paper said and informed her I only have my VIN on the paper and she hung up on me. I called back and another young lady picked the phone up, I asked to speak with a manager and I was transferred to yet another voicemail in which I left another voicemail that will go unto deaf ears. The recalls on my 2011 Chevrolet Impala are dealing with 'a broken solder connection within the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor...resulting in reduced power and loss of traction control assist' as well as an 'ignition key safety recall' which states 'without this repair, your key could rotate out of the 'run' position and your airbags may not deploy in an accident, putting you at an increased risk of injury or fatality.' I do not feel safe driving my vehicle and would like to have the matter resolved immediately, as it has been brought to my attention recently, however this dealership is not making it easy for me. Customer service is horrible every time I've called; the individuals seem more concerned with whatever is happening in the background more so than helping me set an appointment for my recall, or they just don't know who I'm to speak to. I've been calling for the past 3 weeks almost, with no response; Ourisman at Marlow Heights would be the closest dealership to me, however, based off of the horrible customer service I have received from the Service Department shows me that they do not care about customer service nor my safety with this recall issue. I just want to schedule and appointment to have my recalls repaired, so I can drive with more peace of mind!

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

by smartshopper22 on 02/18/2015

This dealership tried to sell me a car $1,200 above MSRP, then the car had issues, a BRAND NEW CAR, had issues only days after I bought it. Lucky I was able to get out of that deal due to their error! I even ordered a remote start that was to be factory installed and later learned it was a after market by some guy they contract out to.
