Bob Bell is Like a Good Friend!

I love that whenever I go for service, it's like I'm seeing old friends. Everyone is so friendly and seems genuinely happy to see me. This time, Steve (the shuttle driver) was waiting for me when I arrived. "I knew you were coming today!" That made me feel good!

Bob Bell made a 180 degree positive turn

In January 2018 I was again in the market for a new truck but still a little hesitant to go back to Bob Bell but not because of the sales department, it was the dreaded service department. I, again place my trust in Joe Evans and again he didn't disappoint. Joe is now a sales manager so he introduced me to salesperson Jason Davis. As I usually do, I arrived at the dealership already knowing what I wanted and what I was going to pay. Within a few hours I was driving my new 2018 Colorado Z71 4X4 midnight edition. But the story doesn't end there. Six months have past and I was fearing taking the love of my life (my midnight edition) to the service department after my previous experience in 2015. My neighbor who is a GM retiree told me to see Service Rep Yvonne Huhn. I did make the appointment and as described, Yvonne was courteous, professional, energetic and most important to me, KNOWLEDGED in what she was doing and talking about. I know I had a few wear and tear issues after six months of owning my truck and some may need to be paid for by my out-of-pocket. I dropped it off and a free shuttle took me home. Hours later Yvonne called and said that it was a toss up that some of the items should have been paid for by me including tire balancing but out of courtesy the service department would fix it for nothing. If you read my old review and I encourage you to, you'll see I dealt with a team of service associates that truly didn't give a crap about Bob Bell and especially their customers. When I first arrived I immediately noticed a fresh new service facility and most importantly, a new team of caring employees. When I returned to retrieve my truck I again was met by Yvonne who was so friendly but waisted no time telling me what my truck needed and that Bob Bell was absorbing any cost to thank me for buying my new Colorado from them and trusting their service department again. I can't stress enough how glad I am that Bob Bell fixed those issues and finally took out its old trash. Jason Davis was awesome And Yvonne Huhn was awesome

I recently had my car serviced at Bob Bell. I bought it in the same day I called, the vehicle had an oil change, 60,000 mile check up. The work was done in a timely and efficient manner.

State Farm failed but Bob Bell Body Shop gets and A

I unfortunately had a claim with my carrier, State Farm. Since you never get to speak to the same claim rep twice, my car took a lot longer to get repaired than it should have. Bob Bell did their best with this situation and was very fair to me. James kept me posted on what was going on with my car. I was happy with the work that Bob Bell Body Shop did. I would highly recommend Bob Bell Service and Body Shop.

2014 Silverado purchase

It was a really good deal I saw on line. I met with Joe Evans for the sale and he was very helpful. It was one of my better car buying experiences ever. I was in and out in 3 hours. If I ever need another car or truck I will look to do business with Joe and Bob Bell Chevrolet.

New 2014 Chevy Cruze LT

I came in to trade my 05 ford escape that honestly was a piece of crap.... bought it from BERMANS AUTOMOTIVE (they suck, that is all!) I wanted a chevy cruze and even if it were the oldest year i'd be satisfied because I knew I was going to have a high payment (from paying off the ford escape). Anywho, Joe Evans did whatever magic he could and the genies in that management offices made me THEE HAPPIEST PERSON ALIVE. I DROVE out with a 2014 Chevy Cruze with less than 5k miles, for less than 500 a month. 500 sounds bad but if you were paying off a car and another your driving....trust me. it is not bad at all. They even have me covered if i get into an accident. These guys know there stuff. I wish they would've been my first car buy. (P.S. my credit is not good either!!!!)

Bad Car, Deceptive Dealership in Glen Burnie

While I did have a great experience working with Bob Bell in Bel Air when purchasing a new car, I just had a horrible experience when buying a used car from Bob Bell at their Glen Burnie dealership on Aug 28, 2014. While we were still working with the salesman and seated at his desk, he produced a paper stating that we had 3 days to return the car if we were not happy with it, but would still be required to purchase another vehicle at that price or higher. After bringing the car home, we noticed a thumping while driving, it pulls a little to one side while driving, and the car was filthy. I ran my fingers across the ceiling and my fingertips were absolutely black! We did mention that one of the wiper blades was worn, but the salesman dismissed it. We tested them later and did have to replace them after all. And there is a car smell that has been covered up with a sickening sweet deodorant. They now claim that the 3 day policy is only for new cars. Why would the salesman place the document in front of us that we had 3 days if it didn't apply to used cars? Talk about being deceptive!

worst ever

This is the worst place I have ever been and deeply regret buying my truck from this dealership. after scheduling an appointment a week in advance, I took my car to be looked at today and waited for 6 hours to be told they did not have time to look at it. Then when I got there to pick it up I found all the car people ...goofing off in the managers office. They should be out of business for the way you treat people. If you read this find somewhere else to buy and get your car fixed. Bob Bell on Eastern BLVD. does not deserve our business.

Reasonable service and recommendations

I took my 2008 Altima for it's 30k service, uneven tread wear on one tire, and ordering of a backup set of keys. They told me about and took care of the recall issue on the vehicle on their own. They charged me a reasonable amount for the backup key. As far as the service package and tread wear, they wanted to sell me tires but I declined. They were not pushy or overbearing. The service agent even told me he agreed with my plan not to get the service package done today and instead to bring it back once a few more miles were on the car. The tires they were offering were expensive and I'll return once I buy tires elsewhere. I felt he was reasonable and was not necessarily pushing extras on me that I did not need. He even pointed out that the transmission fluid replacement, something that is normally done at the 30k mark, only really needs replacing ever 100k or so because of the CVT and automatically subtracted that from the package. Overall, I had a good experience and will probably return to Bob Bell for further service in the future.

Shady

I used to take my car to Bob Bell for maintenance, but not anymore. I was advised to have my battery "serviced" due to corrosion. Foolishly, I handed over the $45 (I now know that with a little water, baking soda and steel wool...I could have done it myself). Anyway, a couple of weeks later the battery, which had never before given me any trouble, needed to be replaced. They happily did this for the low price of $200. The battery only costed $90. My message to people who want to get their vehicles serviced at Bob Bell is as follows: first make sure you actually need what they recommend. Then if you need it, find out if you can do it yourself (anyone can clean battery terminals, change cabin/engine air filters). Find out how much "labor" costs and decide whether you feel it is reasonable. I feel that Bob Bell is unscrupulous and overcharges routinely. What you don't know CAN hurt your pockets. Fool me once, shame on you...

Do not BUY for Bob Bell

Horrible dealership! They made the whole car buying experience indescribably the worst. They rush you into the purchase, promise you all these great things and never follow through with any of their promises. Any person who is thinking of purchasing a vehicle from Bob Bell - i am warning you dont. I bought a 2005 Nissan Titan LE with everything!! The president of Bob Bell told me himself that Bob Bell does not sell vehicles of such high $ amount! I paid 37,457.00 for my Titan brand new. I bought the 100,000 warranty and when i took it in for recall fixings - they had enterprise put me in a cavalier. The president should have stepped up if he knew that his dealership did not make these kind of sales. They do not offer lot loaner and the salesman have no knowledge of the vechiles that they are selling. I (the consumer) knew more about the titan then the salesman! I wish i could go back and rip the documents in half and threw them in the sales managers face!! Please do not go here for anything! Service is horrible too!

THE WORST

Bob Bell Nissan/ Chevy is the worst place anyone could go to service a vehicle. Bob Bell extremely lost a customer that could have easily been a frequent customer. There service department will not repair your vehicle in a timely manner. The service department lies, gives you false information, degrades your vehicle. I was in the service lane, my truck parked in the service lane. A few guys who worked for Bob Bell walked up to my truck as i was standing at the service desk. I watched them from the service advisiors desk. The guys who worked for Bob Bell all had jackets with metal zippers, keys on their belt loop and rings on. All their zippers hit the truck side, they put their shoulder up the side of the bed leaned in and walked down the side and dragged their keys down the side of my bed. The were just talking did not have anything to do with my or my truck. I hit the panic button and they liked to jump out of their skin. They apologized - i asked them what they we going to do about the scratches - i got the service manager out and he told me that they were already there. I stood there and watched them do it!! A bunch of [violative content removed]! I took my truck on for warranty items. They told me that they replaced my pads and rotors - next day brakes failed - they told me that they were improperly put back on!! They told me there wont be any charge! Damn right there wont be!
