The staff was very friendly and helpful and the price was fair and straightforward. Overall, it was the best car buying experience I have ever had.

Misleading

by kirmart on 09/24/2017

would never recommend anyone buying a vehicle from Cook's Motors, we were misled on the warranty being included in the price. It was not included in the price, it was included in the payment amount. And we weren't ever told about the warranty till they wanted us to sign papers. Jason acted like he told us it was included in the payment. Bought the vehicle in April and still do not have the issue resolved. I have called numerous times and left messages with no phone calls returned. I even called to talk to his boss, which is the owner. Left a message on his voicemail and never received a phone call back. Bad Customer Service....

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE.

by danielle57 on 10/08/2016

The advertised price for the car I selected was $17800.00 when we got there they said it was $21000. I started to leave and they talked me into staying and buying the vehicle. I told them to hold the vehicle until my home loan went through and they told me to that they would hold a check. They had me sign papers. THREE DAYS LATER they submitted my info to 6 banks. This messed up my house loan which cost me more money. . The next day they charged the PRICE OF THE CAR TO Chase. I never received any paper work or warning they were going to do this. I originally told them I would pay cash and gave a check to hold until my closing. I tried to return the car and they were very hostile with me. These people are [non-permissible content removed]. They will tell you one thing and do whatever they want. DON"T SIGN ANYTHING WITH THESE PEOPLE. Take copies of paperwork first to YOUR LAWYER. Beware of these despicable people

Horrible experience

by elcid89 on 06/07/2013

Dropped by to discuss purchasing a car they have on their lot. Was told at the time that the price displayed online was the definitive price. After spending a hour and a half waiting, the salesman came back with deal paperwork that had increased the sales price of the car by $1,000 and proposed to give me the NADA rough trade-in value for my vehicle (which is in near showroom condition and considered low mileage by NADA). The justification was that he could purchase a car like mine from an auction at that price, and that the advertised price on the internet was actually a "special" price only available to people with a minimum credit score. I turned the deal down flat. Got called in to speak with the sales manager (who was also doing F&I). He played with the numbers and produced what he said was his bottom line deal. It still wasn't acceptable so I said thank you and walked. I hadn't even made it to my car when the salesman was offering me yet another a deal that beat the one just tendered by the sales manager as his supposed "bottom line deal". This is honestly a bait & switch outfit. They advertise low prices on the internet and then start flim-flamming the numbers once they have you in the door. They also, despite my express instructions that I did not want a ton of credit inquiries generated, sent the loan to four different lenders and pulled all three bureaus themselves as well, resulting in exactly what I had told them I did not want - many inquiries showing up on my credit report. I absolutely will never return.

really bad people

by mandrak on 04/01/2011

REALLY BAD PEOPLE AND UNPROFESSIONALS I looked at a car online listed for $12K I went to the dealership they showed it to me and I decided to get it. The dealership put on writing the work that the car needed like paint buffing, remove dog hair, squeak from the break and low in gas. Unfortunately they only filled the car with gas 100%; paint was buffed but lots of scratches couldn’t come off when it was promised. Dog hair remains and the squeak from the breaks never went away. First flag… They run my credit and “supposedly they did approve it” and I when to see the financial guy. When I read over the contract and I notice that the car cost is $13,400 plus another $1K on taxes, titles and others. I was upset obviously because of the $1,400 difference and then I argued with the financial guy. He wanted me to believe it was for the cost of the inspection at first, then he tried for supposed repairs that the car need; Why didn’t they tell me all of this upfront? I took the car regardless because I needed. That was the second flag. I drove away with the “supposed legal8 contract or paper work”, the car and the keys. Two weeks later they called and told me I needed to go back to sign more paper and their excuse was they have got a better deal for me… ummm third flag!!!. I wasn’t going to sign another contract because “supposedly they gave one already”. Next day before I approached the dealership I got emails from the credit bureau and when I checked my credit, This [violative content deleted] pulled my credit 6 times the day of the supposed purchased and 2 more times two weeks later. Why is that? Four flag this is not good !!! I went to the dealer so mad that they pulled another contract for me to sign and I told them that I wasn’t going to sign anything because everything looks like they have given a contract and a car with no approval from anybody; I told them also they were going to keep the car because they are trusted and the guy from the financial department took my paperwork away, ripped them in many pieces he could threw them on my face and started yelling and cursing at me. On top of that asking me to go outside and get physical with him. Obviously I wasn’t going to just stand watching and responded back. I talked to two other people including the one of managers and they kept the car. In between those two weeks I had a company installed a hitch to it and as today they are refusing to give it back to me and also refusing to give me any kind of paperwork where it says they have got the car back and we do not have any boundaries. Too many flags !!! STAY AWAY…

Worst management ever!

by rsw1010 on 05/06/2010

Awful management. When i bought the car there was a password protected blue tooth, when I asked about it, I was told the password was in the owner's manual. However, much to my surprise it was not. By then I was home. (hours away). When i called back, the sales associate said he could not help me, but he would leave a message with the manager to call me back. When i called a closer dealership to have the password reset, I was told it would cost over $100 and take at least an hour. After i called back over 10 times, the manager finally talked to me 2 weeks later, and then proceeded to tell me that he would not pay for it, yell at me and lectured me for 10 minutes on how if I did not barter them down and paid full list price they would help me and then tell me how "offended" he was for me asking them to pay for it. I also paid the extra processing fee to have them take care of the DMV paper work, so that i would not have to wait in the DMV line. A week later i received my money back and paper work and them telling me I had to go to DMV to do everything myself.
