My experience with Arundel Ford was excellent with my new vehicle purchase. We were out of state and they were very helpful. Even going as far as picking up my parents at the airport to drive the vehicle home for us. Unfortunately that is when that excellent service ended. When they arrived home with the new Super Duty I saw a large deep scratch in the gauge cluster. My dad said he did not notice it when they received the vehicle. After reviewing several screenshots I had of the vehicle online I could then see the scratch. I did notice it before but assumed it to be a reflection as it was a brand new vehicle. I thought no big deal. I will just contact Arundel and let them know of the situation. I’m sure they will be happy to help me take care of it in my home state as driving the vehicle back would be cost prohibitive. They were very nice as usual and said that I could just take it to my local dealer to get an estimate. That’s when the run around started. All of a sudden I couldn’t get a hold of anyone anymore. Calls, texts, messages were not being returned. I started to call more frequently and finally got to talk to someone. All kinds of excuses why my calls were not returned. They told me again they would take care of it and to schedule it with my dealer. When the work was done my dealer was told to call them and they would take care of the bill. This process took over 3 months to get to this point. I remained calm and polite with them the entire time. Well you can imagine how the story ends. Another 50 days has passed since the work was completed. My dealer and I tried to contact them multiple times to get the bill paid to no avail. Many more excuses and unreturned calls. I ended up having to pay the bill myself and I am out the cost of replacing the gauge cluster and about 4 months of phone time and agony. I wasn’t going to give in but they finally broke me. I am not that kind of person. I believe in people and am willing to give them every opportunity to make things right but these people are not people that you want to do business with. They are just truly bad people. I did read other reviews about Arundel Ford warning of others having the same issues before my purchase but I did not believe it after talking with them. Well you better believe it. Once they have your money you mean nothing to them. Hope this helps just one person make their decision easier!

We recently traded our 4 year old Toyota Rav 4 for a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend at our local Ford dealership in Arundel, ME. The entire process was very easy, no pressure from our salesperson Susan, we were able to take it for a test drive to make sure it handled well,which it did. It is not a fancy model but we did not need one with an OffRoad package just to go downtown to an appointment or to do groceries! The Bronco Sport Big Bend is cute, stylish, has a lot of headroom and has plenty of pep for a 4 cylinder. So far we are very happy to have jumped back into being a returning Arundel Ford customer, all of the staff we met were very personable, helpful, happy people doing a great job to get a sale to a couple of customers who have bought and traded more vehicles than we like to admit! We love our new Bronco Sport Big Bend!

We purchased a Mustang on November 1st, 2016. Dillon, our salesperson, was very personable and was willing to help us in any way he could. Overall I am satisfied with the vehicle I purchased, but the disappointment's were for me having to wait around for several hours due to problems with the Certified Pre Owned paperwork being finalized/approved and having to drive back to the dealership three days later to receive my signed paperwork. I was also disappointed to find out after the fact that this vehicle didn't have the navigation system included as an additional option which was important to me.

My husband and I were in the market for a truck and decided to go to Arundel Ford since our son had been happy with their customer service. We were not intending on buying a truck that day, but we were very fortunate to have been greeted by Dillon Fowles who was very friendly and listened to our needs, and due to his outstanding customer service, we saw a few trucks that fit what we wanted/needed for our price range and recreational needs. Needless to say , we fell in love with a truck and brought it home the very next day . The entire staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable! We have never had a "no pressure " sales purchase before , so this was a great experience. We will be returning for our next vehicle for sure! 😊

First, I need to preface this review by stating this is the first negative review I have ever written for any company. I normally refrain from sharing a negative experience as I understand everyone has off-days but the level of dishonesty my wife and I experienced at Arundel Ford Sales has finally changed that and if this review dissuades one person from making the same mistake we did then I will consider this time well spent. In all my years of car shopping I don’t think I have ever been as mislead and deceived by a sales department as I have with Arundel. Don’t get me wrong, Arundel Ford service is excellent and comes highly recommended in our area. The sales department, however, is a completely different story. We had been warned about them but being newer to the area decided that it was best to form our own opinions. Big mistake! Our experience with Arundel began when they were one of 10 dealerships that we solicited quotes on new vehicles from. Arundel responded to the quote with a very competitive price that caused us to consider them as one of the top three bidders. The salesperson, Samir, was very pleasant, responsive and easy to deal with. He, as we unfortunately found out, is the exception to the rule when it comes to Arundel sales. As we talked further with Arundel we discovered that they may not have properly quoted us (we provided a spreadsheet with every option we wanted and asked for an “out the door price”). Funny enough, they couldn’t even find the price on a simple locking fuel cap and stated they were confused by which options were factory and which were dealer installed. That should have been a huge red flag. A new car dealer who doesn’t know how to price items, seriously? But that, alas, is not the crux of the concern. In questioning the provided quote, and actually asking to have some options removed, Arundel Ford came back with a new quote (again options removed) that increased their price by $3,580.66. They went from being our #2 bidder to not even being close to our least competitive bidder. We understand dealerships need to make a profit to stay in business and that sometimes pricing mistakes are made but this was a pretty blatant bait and switch. Last I checked, removing an option does not actually increase the cost. When we questioned our salesperson, Samir, on this he needed to check with his sales manager Rod. The response we got was simply they are not competitive. No explanation for how the cost increased dramatically. Samir was apologetic and I quote “I am deeply sorry to have wasted you nice folk’s time. It has been a great pleasure to have tried to earn your business, and I’m sorry to hear that we cannot earn your business at this time.” So, we wasted several days with Arundel and eliminated a competitive bidder based on the misinformation provided. Again, Samir, is the one saving grace for their sales department at Arundel. We still have not received an explanation as to why they had a dramatic price increase so I can only assume they are either grossly incompetent or dishonest. If you are car shopping, I would strongly recommend that anyone shopping for a car check any other Ford dealer in New England. All dealers we checked with within 100 miles of Arundel Ford were more competitive in price. If you want to experience why car dealers get a bad reputation first-hand then by all means stop by Arundel sales, just make sure you deal with a sales manager so you can get the dishonesty direct rather than through a pleasant middle man.
