Bait and Switch

Collected quotes for a new telluride order from multiple dealerships in the area. Finally got one at MSRP. Contacted Lakeshore and told them I have an MSRP quote, if you can match it I'll order with you. Via email they said "Need you to come in, wouldn't be a wasted trip." I went in person and they wouldn't budge from 4k over MSRP. So let me get this straight, I told you I have a quote for MSRP (printed, proven one from other dealership) and you made me drive an hour out of my way just do do a bait and switch that wasn't even in the same ballpark? I will never do any business with the Lakeshore dealerships ever again and will actively dissuade all those I know looking for cars from patronizing this disingenuous and deceptive bunch.

Had an exceptional car buying experience at Lakeshore Kia in Slidell, La

The Kia Soul had been at the top of my list of new car favorites for many years, but one thing then another caused me to defer a decision to purchase. I am glad I waited for the 2018 model because the improvements and enhancements to the Soul Plus in recent years made it even more attractive to me. Working with the team at Lakeshore Kia in Slidell, I came to a very satisfactory agreement on a Kia Soul Plus that exactly met my needs and expectations. The best part of the entire experience was the people at Lakeshore Kia. I felt valued as a customer because I did not feel pressured to make a decision. In the end, I could not have been happier and look forward to enjoying this vehicle for many years. Fit and finish throughout are excellent. The interior is very nice with very good materials and workmanship. Three drive modes (normal, eco and sport) and two transmission modes (normal and sport) make this uniquely styled vehicle fun and practical to drive. EPA mileage estimates seem spot on with what I am getting. Peppy engine, firm suspension and numerous safety features make the Soul feel solid and under control in city or on highway.

Business is not appreciated. Disrespectful staff.

Chose Lakeshore due to selection and rebate match, otherwise, we were going to Dallas. Selecting them, a dealership outside of my home area, over settling for something somewhere else should count for better treatment. Sales person was accommodating but conversation topics were inappropriate, even offensive. Rep was made aware of the offense and an apology was offered to me, but not my better half, who walked away; he would have rather walked away from the deal. The finance rep was amiable to a point... when I pointed out that he used a different sales tax rate than the sales person, he glanced up at me then back to the papers without acknowledging the comment. When I verified the rate on Monday, I notified them and was told that when the financing is done, the error will be caught then I will be issued a refund. Thus begins the runaround. Made the first payment and I was not notified. When the dealership notified me of my plate being available, I asked again about the refund. Now I have to call the finance manager; no answer, left message. The sales rep called me back and "suggested" that I call the lien holder or the state... Again, that a client would choose to do business with them should provoke better service. No, I will not recommend this dealership. Now I have the complaint form to the State Attorney General's office in preparation. The lien holder was contacted, as a formality. What is sad is that the refund is a miniscule amount for a dealer!! A half of a percent people!!!

If you want to be lied to or just plain [non-permissible content removed] around, this place is for you. Otherwise, just go somewhere else. They do not hold their word once the sale is complete.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

I purchased my 2015 KIA Soul from this dealership on April 23, 2015. On June 4th the sale person called me and informed me that the dealership had made an "error" and had give me a "trade credit" that they were not supposed to give me. I traded in me 2013 Toyota Corolla Lease for the KIA. They informed that I HAD to pay over 1000 dollars to get my car registered and legal to drive. They said I had until the 22nd of June to pay it. Even though every person I spoke to about this; the finance person, the sales manager, the title person, the dealership owner and KIA headquarters in California told me that it was their mistake and their error. That they were not going to do anything to fix this. I had to pay it or my car wouldn't be legally on the roads and there was not anything to be done about it. They basically held me and my plates hostage until I paid for THEIR mistake. My issue with all of this is, that it is in my contract that they agreed to when I bought my car that my "tax, title and registration" was all part of the price we all agreed to. And now they are not holding up their end up the contract. They even told me upon leaving the dealership that they would contact me when my plates were in. I ended up have to pay the 1025.00 dollars on the 6/15/15 only because I didn't want to be driving illegally. I told them I was paying this under protest. Everyone at this dealership with the exception of the sales person I originally dealt with (Blaine) was very rude, unprofessional, and worst customer service I have ever experienced. If I had my way with this, I would have given the car back. I will NEVER deal with Kia or this dealership again. Everything about my experience was horrible.

Look past the facade. They are AWFUL!

Truly friendly, and well-spoken dealers... but is that really what your looking for when buying a car!? They will certainly help you find anything you are looking for, after all that is their job, right?Their job is also to make as much money off of you as possible, and through lying/misrepresentation they do a great job of that as well. I was going to buy a beautiful (on the outside) used Tacoma from them. Dealer told me only 1 previous owner and no wrecks what-so-ever. I check the Carfax- 4 previous owners and 4 previous wrecks!! Another said the car had been in their mechanics shop and everything "checked out fine." Skeptical, I brought a mechanic with me the second day and he pointed out 2 different loose engine wires and 5 different fluid leaks. PEOPLE LIKE THIS DONT DESERVE NORTHSHORE BUSINESS! I went to Eddie's North Park Nissan instead and got an awesome deal! No, I don't work for them.

Great Car Dealership!

I came to Lakeshore in Slidell looking for a car for my girlfriend. Timmy helped me find the car she wanted in the exact color, and it had all the bells and whistles. The buying process was very easy, and they gave me all of the information necessary to make me feel comfortable about making the purchase. This is not the first car I have bought, but it was the most pleasurable experience I have had with a car dealership to date. I ended up getting a brand new white Kia Optima SXL with leather interior. I drove a few cars other than the one I ended up buying and Timmy was very helpful and told me to take my time because it was an important decision. I just felt very welcomed and never rushed. The finance part of the sale was very straight forward and where I have felt confused in the past with a bunch of legal jargon, they explained everything to me in a very clear manner making sure I understood all of my options without being pushy. Best Car Buying Experience

Out of all the Kia dealerships in my area Lakeshore Kia had the best customer service and atmosphere. The internet sales manager Ms. Toni K. was excellent in responding to my many questions in a knowledgeable and timely manner. In the middle of my car buying endeavor Hurricane Isaac came through our area and put a hold on things. Just days after the storm had passed Ms. K. sent me an e-mail letting me know they were back open for business and was able to continue to assist me in my search for a new vehicle. She was able to offer me a price none of the other dealerships could beat. Since I live 30 minutes away I wanted to make sure the price I was being quoted would be the same price as when I arrived. She also stayed late at the dealership for me to accommodate my work schedule. When I arrived at the dealership I was relieved to see how visually appealing it was. The others I visited in my area were not nearly as presentable inside and out. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who showed me to Ms. K.’s office. We took the vehicle I was looking at for a spin. Went back to her office and was very pleased that the price was as quoted. No pressure to get additional options or services and no other fees other than the quoted price and the dealership fee, which was hundreds less than the other dealerships I had visited. I showed her the interest rate I was pre-approved for with my bank and she wrote the number down, sent it over to the finance department, and told me they could beat it. If you are in the market for a new Kia please make the trip out to Slidell. By far the best car buying experience I have ever gone through and I can’t recommend Lakeshore Kia and Ms. Toni K. enough!

Easy Car Purchase

Quick and easy negotiation, very professional Internet sales manager, quick with the paperwork, and the F+I guy didn't frown at me when I didn't want any of his "extras". I've bought 23 cars, and this was one of the easiest sales experiences I've had.
