Well, got home with my new Challenger and the newly installed backup camera last night. Got up to leave for work this morning, hit reverse, and that backup camera was washed out and just plain ugly. Thinking maybe it was some sort of brightness adjustment problem, I searched on the internet to see if it was adjustable. What I found was, their so-called factory backup camera is a $100 cheapo accessory sold all over the internet. The sticking point in my negotiation with the saleman, was I didn’t want to go over a certain amount for the payments, and the lack of a backup camera on that car. When I asked if a FACTORY backup camera could be put on after-the-fact, the salesman assured me, yes, but it would cost another $1500. I told him that would put me way over what I wanted to pay, and the lack of a camera was a deal killer. I got up to leave, and he asked me to give him a moment. I did, and he came back saying the “boss” had agreed to add that camera at no cost to me. I again asked, “that’s a factory backup camera, right”, and he said yes. I suspect, once I said no to the $1500 extra he wanted for the camera, and it was a deal-killer, they decided to stick on a cheapo unit thinking I’d never know the difference. You’re right, if it hadn’t been so washed out I would not have known the difference, since they assured me it was “factory”. Yeah, a factory in Taiwan. Interestingly, turns out that car didn’t have the camera, because the 2015 Challenger cameras are in the spoiler, so the only models with the camera are the SXT-Plus and R/T. You’d think a Dodge salesman would know that. I really thought I’d found a dealership that cut the crap usually involved with car-buying. Obviously there is no such thing.

My husband bought me a car for my birthday July of 2014. We searched high and low for that perfect car with all the bells and whistles, without breaking the bank. My salesman was Ryan Johnson, he was awesome and patient as it was hard for me to finally come to a decision. This guy really went above and beyond to get me what I wanted. He kept me posted through the entire process, even brought one of the vehicles to me at work to look at when it was hard for me to get to the dealership.

I came in to get my breaks serviced. I do not have a Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge but would go back anytime to see Deadra, she went over and beyond to make my exprience as perfect as it could. I was referred to her by a friend and now I recommend her to my friends. She even got my car washed!!! You guys need more customer service reps like Deadra.
