Shady Dealer

Salesman was good. Finance person was the worst I’ve ever had to deal with. We were approved with a low rate until we declined the over priced power train warranty. Then suddenly the bank declined us. The bank that declined us according to the finance person was our credit union. A few days later we found out that the credit union never declined us. Would not recommend them to anyone.

Dealer used payment packing techniques

I was a first-time car buyer/lessee, and this dealer swindled me pretty good with (illegal?) payment packing. During the negotiation, they offered to throw in a paint coating for free. I had doubts as to whether the coating was at all useful, but since it was free, I accepted it. Both the sales associate and the finance person verbally affirmed that the coating was free. Looking at the (rather sparse) paperwork later, I calculated that they had charged me the full $999 for the coating. When I returned to talk to a manager, he explained they actually charged me $999 above MSRP for the car, and that the coating was free. He said that the increased price was to try to match my quoted payment, basically admitting to payment packing. He probably felt sorry for me since he refunded the first lease payment for me, claiming that it was a mistake that I had to pay the first lease payment upon receipt of the car.

After exchanging emails with a few sales folks, sales manager Jay Cross contacted me. He emailed a quote right away and after that I was very impressed by his candor and willingness to work with me. Tyler Allison was great when I got to the dealership. After deciding on a 2019 Forrester, entire purchase process took less than an hour and I never felt pressurized. I would definitely recommend checking them out. I have already recommended a couple of my friends to contact Jay Cross for their Subaru purchase interest and will keep doing so.

Great Car Buying Experience

We had a great experience purchasing a Subaru at Neil Huffman on Dixie highway. We were looking for an SUV type vehicle and our daughter had purchased a Subaru from here in 2015. We worked with Deontae at the dealership. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. We looked at both the Outback and Forrester. We ended up purchasing a 2018 Outback that may be the BEST vehicle we have ever owned. We traded in a 2013 Honda EX and believe we got a great deal on our Outback. We highly recommend Neil Huffman Subaru and will be back for our next Subaru purchase. If you need a Subaru look up Deontae and he will work hard to get you the best deal.

My first Subaru and I would never have bought it if it hadn't been for Tyler. Not only was he the most knowledgeable salesperson I've ever worked with, he also exceeded my expectations for being true and honest. I've never been to a car dealership that I trusted not to take advantage of me let alone had a good enough experience to remember the name of the salesperson.

I am quite amazed and truly happy about my recent Subaru outback purchase from Neil Huffman Subaru. Right from the first step of an online quote to the delivery, they went above and beyond all my expectations. They were nice enough to walk me through the entire process without pressuring me with the sales tactics. Gave me enough space to think and do all my calculations and comparisons right in their office. They also left the room to give me some space to think which i really appreciated. Even though they knew i already owned a Subaru outback, they did not take me for granted in any way. Gave me all the information that i needed. MOST IMPORTANTLY, they did not question/downplay my analysis/intelligence on the car/Market which i felt was very good. I worked with Wendy and Robin from Sales and both very equally knowledgeable and considerate of my expectations on the car and the price. I would DEFINITELY recommend Neil Huffman Subaru for all the buyers for a Subaru/any car for that matter.

Cant say enough good things about this dealer. I've bought 2 cars here. I came in 30 minutes before closing time and they didn't hesitate to work over an hour to make the deal happen. ill be back for my third.

Subaru Outback--Great Dealership!

I came to Neil Huffman Subaru by recommendation from someone else and so happy I did! I was only seeking information at the time of my first visit and this place delivered! Randy, the sales associate that assisted me was genuine and truly cared about what I was looking for. He did not push me to make a decision just to get a sale. He gave me all the information I needed knowing I was not going to purchase a car that day and even potentially not a Subaru at all. When I did decided on the car I wanted, I was so impressed and comfortable with this place that I opted to purchase from them instead of the dealership in my hometown. They put their customers first! Very knowledgeable and will work hard to deliver the Subaru you are seeking!
