Great Experience

by Sue T on 12/20/2022

I leased a new car with my salesman Karl. It was a great experience all around including negotiating on price with my trade in with both Karl and Mark. I have dealt with Collins Nissan for 5 years now and it has always been a great experience. Staff is great, and there was no pressure. I will continue to do business with Collins Nissan

They gave me a straight up fair offer over the phone without having to fight, play games, or spend hours at the dealership. Extremely friendly - excellent experience.

2013 Altima

by aidad on 09/21/2012

Wow! What a car! I researched cars for several months before I bought and decided to wait for the all new 2013 Altima. Well worth waiting for. I bought it fully loaded and love every detail about this car. I also love Bill Collins Nissan. I dealt with Mark T. in sales, a perfect gentleman who took really good care of me and with complete respect. (I had previously gone to Neil H. and the experience was the total opposite). I bought the car of my dreams from a dream sales team (Mark and his manager, Nate). I have had my car for 2 weeks and have returned for further explanation of tech situations I needed more help with. They treat me like family. No impatience with my questions even when I need an explanation more than once. I can't recommend them enough! They are great! Equally, the service department is super also. I went in for a very minor problem and they took care of me as though I had a major breakdown. Sheri C.,service advisor, checked with Nissan concerning my question when she could have just as easily told me anything and I would have not known the difference. That's customer service that's A+ across the board.

BUYERS BEWARE

by annonymous on 03/13/2012

BUYERS BEWARE---- AND TAKE A MECHANIC!!!! Recently my husband and I parted with our fully loaded '05 Pathfinder (which they tried to low ball the trade in) and purchased a used '04 Quest. With the understanding that it is an older vehicle, my husband and I decided to accept the minor dings and scratches on the outside and some details inside. The van only had 65,500 miles on it!!! They did a 120point inspection the "vehicle is perfectly safe ma'am...." we thought how great. WRONG! it has been trouble ever since. Before we left the lot, I wanted to insert my favorite CD and jam out to the BOSE sound system.... WELL, the CD player did not work. Since we were still there, the service dept said they would replace the CD player free of charge. We were "rescheduled" twice! once for them "ordering the wrong part" and once because the "bracket was on back order." Niether of which were really true (see further comments). A week after taking this home (and we live 45-1hr away) we noticed a 'clunking' noise when we would go from reverse into drive. We thought we'd get it checked out when we got the CD player fix (which again hasnt happened to this point). Nearer the 60 day mark of ownership, we took a trip to visit some friends 2 hrs away. A friend suggested we get transmission fluid for the clunking. So we stopped at the local Nissan dealership- NOT FLUID they said, needs a SAFETY INSPECTION they say. During said inspection they discovered broken motor mounts and the control arms (yeah, the thing that holds the wheel on) are trashed. I immediately called Collins and left voicemails for everyone (of course no one answered or returned my calls). On monday (since that was a Saturday), I had an appt close to Collins and took all my paperwork in to them. I showed them the estimated 2600$ quote for repairs and was met with a good cop, bad cop scenario. One guy was nice about and willing to help. The service department- not so much. He wanted to see it for himself! I said we could bring it up that saturday (as my husband and I both work) he said Saturday's not good.... HA! well before Saturday we had gotten a second opinion (the second Nissan inspection found the same problems) long story short... Collins ended up giving us a rental (a ford focus) for a week while they "fixed" the damage. During that week, 4 days after dropping it off they didn't even have a game plan or the go ahead to repair the parts. On the 5th day it was getting the new CD player (wow that back order went quick), and finally the van was ready to be picked up. They only found 1 motor mount and the control arms...... Also, they claim the clunking could not be recreated-GO FIGURE. I pick up the van and what happens as I pull out.... YEP clunk! UGH! so I bring it home and spend 220$ more getting system flushes to help rule out any other "issues." They mechanic said the transmission fluid was black! The new flushed system works pretty well and the clunking has gotten better BUT I still smell hot antifreeze inside the cabin!!!! saga continues.... PLEASE LEARN FROM OUR IGNORANCE AND TAKE A MECHANIC IF YOURE BUYING USED!!! the Collins Service dept told me in person that when the vehicle is inspected, they write the suggested repairs down on the back of the sheet, then the sales dept decides what to fix and what not to fix..... ask to see the original inspection sheets.
