Possibly dishonest

I test drove a Mazda cx-5 and then had a brief session with the salesman and was given a quote for the cost of the car and approximate monthly payment based on using their rebate or 1 of 2 financing options. The payment was in my comfort zone. During the next week, I used online payment calculators and both of them put my monthly payment $90 higher. When I asked the salesman about it he said the online calculators are often incorrect. I was really hopeful he was right and we could move forward. I asked this guy at least 12 times for a written proposal/offer with cost of car, fees, taxes, etc and he would not send it to me. Total lack of transparency. When he finally told me the bottom line, the cost was of course $90 higher and out of my comfort zone. There's no way he didn't know this from the beginning and that's why he wouldn't send the proposal. I would rather be informed and disappointed day 1 instead of day 10.

Needed a trustworthy "first car" for my daughter after terrible experience at another dealership. Mark Burke was 10/10 helpful and friendly. Best experience ever with a used car salesman. Told us pros and cons of various models and worked with my daughter. She is thrilled and car has run flawlessly.

We have now purchased two cars from Paul Miller Mazda, and love both of them for vastly different reasons. The 3 is for our daughter, who is a college student living an eight-hour drive away needing dependable, economic transportation. The MX-5 is our toy and a dream to drive! Charlotte was our sales person for both purchases, gave us terrific deals, has always been straightforward with no pressure. We also know the son and daughter-in-law of the dealer, as well as their son (three generations involved with the business says a lot), and know them to be honest and genuine people. Not that this had anything to do with our purchase decision, but this dealer has it's own on-site restaurant and a service waiting area that is absolutely outstanding! In nearly 50 years of car ownership, I have never seen a facility as good as this one.
