Deceiving photos

by Julia on 04/06/2024

Went to look at a 2019 Honda pilot elite, photos looked great on the website but photos don’t tell the whole story! Had called the dealership in the early afternoon before traveling 2 hours to Florence to verify a few details. everything seemed to check out, traveled the two hours got there at around 5:30, boy did I get a shock! The car hadn’t even been detailed. It was very nasty inside and that’s putting it mildly especially in the passenger seats and floor! Both passenger arm rest were ripped. One seat had looked like paint splatter on it. The nastiness/food on the floor in between the seats, and the stickiness from spilt drinks, it was gross. On the outside on the drivers side, the passenger door had three dents in it, and the door frame was bent. They said they hadn’t even noticed that door being like that. They said they would get it detailed and fix the dents. Would I like to go ahead and buy it? I died laughing. I can’t believe how they operate. If I was the sales person, I would’ve been embarrassed to show someone a car in that condition. I don’t recommend this dealership at all.

Worst place ever

by Bob on 11/15/2019

Most unprofessional staff in service department. Always say that can’t do something because of parts or people. If I could I would not take my car here ever!

FRAUD and LIES

by interesting on 09/29/2017

I drove a silver-gray 2006 Volkswagen Jetta, VIN 3VWPF71KX6M768366, to the dealership (in the car in question) and dropped off that perfectly running car at approximately NOON on 9/28/17. It had some lights on the dashboard indicating service was needed. The car has no other visible or auditory evidence of needing service other than the dash lights, and I saw that 1 light bulb was out. I was advised they were busy so I would have to wait about 3 hours to get a diagnostic and they would call me with the results of the diagnostic. I went home and the call that was promised after 3-4 hours never happened. Instead, I called and only got a voicemail. I called the next day around NOON 9/29/17 and was told they still do not have any information about the car and they'd call back "in a few minutes". 3 1/3 hours later, I got a call from them advising the battery was dead and they could not even start the car and had to jump it, and oil was leaking so badly they've "never seen anything like it", catalytic converter needed to be replaced, combi valve, cb boot, rear springs, both fans, rear pads and roters, and 6 light bulbs. This is outright FRAUD and I will file a police report. I dropped off a perfectly running car that had no smells or leaks and now they claim it DOESN'T RUN AT ALL and they cannot even start the engine. I have never had any issues starting this car EVER. There were no leaks when the car was dropped off. I drove this car to the dealership and it was running fine. The battery on the car is relatively new- within the past year or so and the lights have never been left on to drain it. There's no way possible anything was wrong with the battery. Additionally, there is no way possible the oil was leaking. In our garage, where the car is stored, there are no oil leaks. There are no oil leaks going down our driveway either. Whatever they have done to our car, they need to fix for free. I resent being lied to and I will take this to the highest level possible. The public should know about this scam. I wonder if the way service techs are paid motivates them to commit fraud like this and when the police report is filed we will have that mentioned along with how Volkswagen put computer chips on their cars to fake emissions testing. This is a company with a history of fraud. Why wouldn't that extend to it's service centers as well? If this car is not in at least running condition when it is picked up, there will be legal repercussion. I'll take it to police, Federal Trade Commission, and lawyer up. This is not JUST about OUR car, this is about the kind of fraud that really hurts people- and they're NOT going to get away with it. I won monetary compensation once from registration of a complaint with FTC, as the FTC advised me of a class action lawsuit related to my complaint- and we won. I'm no stranger to fighting fraud and illegal activities. I will facebook this to Egypt and back if that car is not returned to us running same as it was when I dropped it off.

Very Pleased

by jimr12 on 08/24/2015

I found and purchased a VW CC for a really good price. But the best part was the extended warranty on the car. It was every bit as good as the original factory warranty - meaning covered everything. I also appreciated the tow gentlemen I dealt with. I also spoke with the service department and found out I will get a loaner when I take the car in for regular service.

One piece of advice..... RUN! Stay away!!

by will9173 on 08/14/2014

These people will RIP you off!!! They sold me a CPO TDI Jetta, Turns out that it was not a CPO, which they tried and cover up, Had to get a Lawyer to get it registered with VW as a CPO... Just to find out that the car was previously wrecked!!! The horror story doesn't stop here.. I had to take it back to them to get a speaker replaced and a dent taken care of. They burnt a whole in the paint with a buffer and left all the polishing compound on it to try and cover it up. They had my car for a month getting it fixed, when they returned it the paint look like a 5yr old finger painted it. When i confronted them they yelled at me and told me to get out of there dealership "Stealership". You could not pay me to buy another car from ANY KERRY owned stealership. 5 month later paint is pealing off and one pice of my rocker panel is still primer!!

Great Experience!

by cwayne1966 on 04/16/2013

A couple weeks ago I leased a new Passat from Kerry VW. I traded my 2005 Jetta and was very pleased with my trade-in allowance. They all seemed to go out of their way to ensure I left with the best deal possible. I highly recommend Kerry VW to anyone interested in a new VW!

Not much different from other review

by VWeee on 01/22/2013

We had a similar experience here. The sales staff was wonderful despite their actual product knowledge. It was the management and finance we had a problem with. We agreed on a price and payment handed them a credit application at 10am. We arrived to pick up the car at six only to find out in the finance office that the payment differed about 15 dollars a month higher than what was initially shook on. Then to the paperwork process. I had asked to see a blank contract before signing to read t's and c's on the back prior to signing. Needless to say we signed, and took delivery without ever seeing the back of any contract. Once the finance guy realized we didn't want the warranty we just had paperwork thrown at us without ANY explination of itemized charges, or what was actually being signed. Now for my pont of contention. The credit app I gave them at 10am still hadn't been sent to VW credit for approval which is why I brought it to them so early in the day in the first place. With our contract docs and other paperwork being signed the finance guy whips out an addendum stating that if they can't get us approved at the rate they quoted they would have to have us come back and sign for the higher approved amount. This is absolutely and considerably unprofessional in my opinion considering I armed them about 8 hours prior to taking delivery in the first place. If you're looking for a VW check their inventory online and find another dealer to trade with them for the car you want. They still seem to be [non-permissible content removed] here. I wouldn't recommend again. To sum it all up we basically signed for something different the what was agreed upon in the first place and faced the hard sell in finance. I hope this helps.

Dissatisfied customer

by bill547 on 04/15/2010

I purchased a 2010 Jetta SportWagen TDI from Kerry Voltswagen last week. All the vehicles of this type on their lot with an automatic transmission had a factory installed navigation system which was a $1790 option which I did not want. To have the exterior and interior colors I wanted and less the navigation system and power sunroof (another $1300) I was told by the manager I might have to wait 6 months to get it. I was told they would knock off the price of the navigation system if I would take the car I had just test driven. After that afer we deceided to take that vehicle the finance person tells us that for an additional $12 a month on our finance payment we could get an extended warrenty. For a 66 month loan it would be less than $800 (wrong) on the final papers not only was I charged full MSRP for the vehicle but $3199 for the extended warrenty.

2009 Passat

by susannew on 07/09/2009

2009 Passat with less than 15,000 miles fuel pump had to be replaced, while at dealership trunk was dented but I wasn't told, just happened to see it when I walked around car to get in, they sent it to body shop for repair came back with scratch on driver door handle and overspray on entire front of car............a continuing saga....waiting to see how they decide to take care of this. Took two days to get fuel pump and another week to repair dent.....hasn't fixed door handle or overspray yet. Also was told they didn't have a loaner available, had to go to manager to get a loaner car.
