Poor Customer Service

I got on truecar.com to check the relative prices in my area. On April 11th I was contacted by a saleswoman from Joseph Subaru. The dealership contacted me with a good price on a "demo" vehicle but after reading several somewhat negative articles (Edmunds.com; autoblog.com) I decided to avoid any pitfalls and opt for a new 2015 Forester. I was working with one woman primarily, but then was told she was on vacation by Dustin Fry. Dustin offered a price higher than the price from other dealers but a few communications later we reached a price I felt was fair for both of us. I was asking for the "out the door" price with the title and doc fee included (sans tax). I phoned Dustin to make sure everything was legit and he stated over the phone that he now was not sure if the model quoted was the same as the one I had specified and he said he would check to make sure. I told him through email that I would contact him by weeks end to find out if we were on the same page and "$XX,XXX is a good price for both of us and I appreciate your quick responses. If it's not a lot of savings I will most likely go with you. You have been courteous and professional and I appreciate that. Thanks" I contacted him at the end of the week and heard no response. He then told me the reason he didn't respond was because he was on vacation. I'm all for vacations...but really? A dealership I'd been talking with since April 11th doesn't have the courtesy to get back to me on a price he wasn't sure about over the phone? I'm not trying to vilify anyone but that's just horrible customer service. If you're going to be on vacation at least get someone to cover or call the customer back and tell them you had the right or wrong price.

From the beginning, our salesman was extremely professional and more than answered our questions and concerns to get the car we wanted with no high pressure tactics. This was a great experience.

New Outback

I am admittedly very frugal and began this car buying experience with some reluctance. I first dealt with Sheri, who then introduced me to Brad. The whole experience was pressure free. I was able to test drive a few Subarus and Brad was patient and able to answer all of my questions. Over the next few days, I came in a few more times with questions. I made the decision to buy an Outback, and the entire process was really easy, hassle free, and low pressure. Brad was great to work with.

Fantastic experience

Shopping for a new car in he past has been a terrible experience for me. I must say that this time working with Sheri to set up a time to come in and working with Justin to find the perfect car was so easy -- I almost didn't believe how easy it was! Justin was very knowledgeable and not pushy or rude at all!!! I must say I actually enjoyed this experience! I will be back to purchase a Subaru again :)

new car purchase

This is the second new car purchase from Joseph Subaru and I could not be more pleased with the product and the purchase. I found it very easy to do most of the work thru their internet sales and the and Justin Hopkins was most accommodating answering all questions promptly and accurately. It took very little negotiating to reach the price I was very satisfied with. Once agreed upon, they had the car ready for pick up on my schedule and showed me how to operate all the new toys I was unfamiliar with. Love the car.

It has been 10 years since I bought my last car and I am pleased with the service, attention, and no pressure sale of my new Subaru Forrester. Even though my current vehicle was not a Subaru, the salesman did not degrade but only compared the features of the two cars. He explained all the features to my satisfaction as we test drove the vehicle together. I was told to call or stop by the dealership anytime if I had any future questions. The business manager offered the extra protection packages but there was no pressure to buy. I was pleased with not having to deal with a high pressure sales pitch. I would recommend Joseph Subaru to anyone in the market for a new/used car.

Buying a car can be so stressful. Joseph Subaru made car shopping fun. There was NO pressure (no need to, the product sells itself) and they gave us great customer service. We'd shopped around and done our homework. The price they quoted was better than ANY OTHER dealer in the Eastern U.S. We bought our first Subaru Forrester from them in 2013 and came back and bought another last night.

The staff at Joseph Subaru treated me great and made the car buying experience (which I hate) very smooth and enjoyable. I LOVE my 2015 Subaru 2.5i Limited!! Sheri was a tremendous help when I submitted my online inquiry and when I went to the dealership she introduced me to Justin and he was great! I will highly recommend Joseph Subaru to friends and family.

Considering the recent hype around Subaru, I was concerned if we can find reasonably priced Legacy with our preferred color and options. Thanks to Joseph Subaru and some luck (we had to wait just two weeks for the delivery) , recently did just that and now I am happy to recommend them here. We got a good deal online and they honored all negotiated terms.

I had been researching vehicles for a while now before deciding to test drive a new Subaru. My choice was a 2015 Subaru Crosstek. I was given adequate space to review the vehicle(s) and drive it without any pressure from the sales staff. I loved the vehicle so much that I never made it to any other dealers. The sales transaction was smooth and did not take hours like previous experiences. I am definitely a Subaru owner and will remain one for a long time.

I worked mainly with Justin in sales. I ordered my 2015 WRX and customized it. It took about six weeks to come in. From start to finish, I never felt hassled or pressured into the sale, financing was easy and they got me a great rate. I'll definitely come back for my next car (my wife loves the WRX too!)
