Customer Reviews of INFINITI of Kansas City
Will Continue Purchasing Cars from Major Infiniti
by 10/29/2009
onWe have purchased/leased three vehicles from Major Infiniti over the last three years. Each time the process was professional and flawless. Their service is impeccable. Infiniti is to car dealerships as Disney is to family resorts and Nordstom's is to retailing.

onI purchased a new 2009 G37x from the Major Infiniti team in the fall of 2009. The sales team was extremely knowledgeable on the Infiniti product line and of automotive technology in general. Total Gearheads! I was able learn a great deal about the car (and other cars!) from only a hour or so with the sales staff. After test driving, I went home and did my research and returned to Major the next day. The vehicle I was considering purchasing and was slightly out of my comfortable price range. However, the Major team knew what I wanted and we were able to spit the difference. The financing team wrote up a detailed offer sheet and presented me with competitive financing. When I took delivery, Major detailed and presented my car in flawless condition. They took the time to walk me though all the options and settings. I would not hesitate to send anyone to Major Infiniti. It was easily my best car buying experience to date. I have yet to interface with the service team, when I do. I will write a review on their service as well.

I can only review the used car department...much less than I had expected

onWe bought a previously owned '07 QX56 in May of '08. This was the 2nd used vehicle we purchased from them in the past two years (the first was an '05 FX35). Our first purchase went perfectly, leaving us no reason to feel like we should beware of dishonest car salesmen. Wrong. First of all, they told us only that it was originally sold in November (hoping we wouldn't notice in the paper work that it was sold in November of '06...and luckily for them...we didn't). Silly us for assuming that an 2007 vehicle was originally sold in 2007 since we were not told otherwise, even when I commented in front of the salesman on how great it was that we still had almost the full 4 years left on the warranty. Last time we bought a car from them they showed us a carfax report before we bought the vehicle. This time they never gave us one, even though we briefly mentioned we would like to see one during the buying process. (We still have yet to see one.) Also, when we bought our Qx56 it had been raining that day and the previous day so we didn't think anything of the car not being washed. We asked about the body and any potential damage and looked it over as best we could with no sun and our 2 year old daughter with us. We were told only some scratches. Later when we got it cleaned we found many scratches, including some on the front bumper that were obviously from the car hitting something. They were cheaply covered with black paint. We also found a few large, deep scratches on the hood covered the same way. Conveniently, you could not see them when the vehicle was dirty. When we realized how bad of shape it was in we looked it over completely from top to bottom. We then found rust in the lower grill, a very large dent on the top that looked as if someone had thrown something hard and heavy up there...and what appeared to be hail damage all over the top of the vehicle between the roof-racks. None of this damage was disclosed to us, even though we asked. When we mention it to the salesman he said he'd ask his boss about it. Later we were simply given an estimate of $500 to removed the large dent on top. A friend of ours owns a body shop and said it shouldn't cost more than $200. And finally our AC only gives out "cool" air, not cold. So all of our scratches and dents we can pay to fix ourselves or live and we will be taking our car in soon (for the 3rd time in 2 weeks) to try again to fix that oil leak and hopefully start trying to figure out if there could be something wrong with our AC or if it just isn't supposed to get cold. Oh...and I almost forgot...last time we traded in (same as this time) and it took about 45 minutes for the whole process...this time it took about 2 hours.

great car buying experience

onI just leased my 2008 EX from Major Infiniti and couldn't have been more pleased with the process. I was unhappy with my experience attempting to lease the same vehicle through Infiniti of Omaha so I got on the phone. In retrospect it was well worth the 200 mile drive to Kansas City from Omaha for the money I saved and more importantly for the courteous, respectful service I received from Major's sales staff. I will gladly drive the 200 miles again in 39 months. My experiences between these two dealers was night and day.
