Disappointed in overall service

I bought a 2005 Honda Element from them and not even an hour after I bought it I was stranded at the gas station for over an hour because the vehicle would not start. We called the dealership multiple times and no one would answer. Eventually someone came and helped jumpstart the car. I took it back to the dealership and they told me everything was okay and I should just drive it home. I looked around for the salesperson that helped me but they were nowhere to be found. The only person that was helpful at this dealership was Josh from customer service. I had to replace the battery right when I got home because it wouldn’t start once I turned if off unless I had a jump. They must have made sure to charge the battery right before I showed up so that it had just enough juice left for me to drive it off the lot. Very disappointed. Now I remember why I don’t go to dealerships.

Great Buying Experience

Worked with Wayde Klingbeil and the experience was great! I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted when I walked through the door, but Wayde gave me some solid advice and was able to help me make the perfect decision based on my needs. He went out of his way to help me after hours, and was quick to follow up with questions I had texted to him. I really appreciate his help and would definitely work with him again!

Jerry was very knowledgable and helped us with the technology of the CRV which was new to us. He was friendly, pleasant, cheerful and answered all our questions. The Fiance guy was very helpful, too. Lots of paper work, answered all our questions.

We are happy with our new Honda CRV and enjoyed working with Tom Mitchell of Ames Honda. He did a great job of listening and working with a couple like us who were trying find what the vehicle that would make both of us happy. That's not always easy!! He helped us review the features of our new CRV and also invited us back to attend Honda's New Car Clinic in October. He has followed up with thoughtful calls. Your staff was great--even though Justin Nelson was brand new, he had a lot of knowledge about your cars. If we asked a question he could not answer, he consulted with Adolpho or Bill. We were very satisfied with their knowledge.

Nicole was the nicest salesperson I have ever been around . There was no pressure to talk me into buying my car. I didn't know my way around Ames so she came with us and took me on a nice route so I could get the feeling of the car even on the highway. I felt very comfortable with her and she knew when to leave me and my husband wanted to talk alone.

Rich and Arron were great to work with. Rich took all the time we needed to check out the new CR-V and he explained all the new features. He isn't pushy and he treated us with respect and very fairly. Arron explained all the financial and extras we wanted. He also didn't push. We felt he gave us honest answers about warranty extension and car care. This is the third CR-V we have purchased from this dealership and have been satisfied with all three.

They say the car goes through a multi point inspection, but then two days later they tell you it needs $1500 in repairs.

I was satisfied with everything....except today, the first time ive had to use my windshield wipers....since purchasing my car, the rear windshield wiper is oattatched upside down so it wipes the rear door below the window....but not window, I am too far away to drive clear back to Ames and wonder what can be done, if you may have a partner nearby, maybe Omaha that can fix that for me?

After 2500 miles had to replace rear pads and rotors. Even the most basic of safety review should have found this critical problem. Although, not an expensive repair, it seems the dealer failed to transfer a safe product.

Love the new Civic

Craig, Jim, and Peter did a great job keeping us informed as we waited for the specific Civic that we wanted. They never pressured us to take a different vehicle and when ours arrived they turned it around very quickly. Everything was handled professionally. We've purchased two vehicles from Honda of Ames and haven't been disappointed in either.
