Talk is cheap

Needed a new van (used) for vacation trip to Cape Cod. Found very nice Town and Country, looked great. Tried to get a break on price (was priced by median market price), no luck, but I needed it so i agreed. Drove 1,000 miles and transmission quit - had been dealer replaced under warranty less than 3 Mo.s earlier, no longer under warranty. Asked Chrysler what to do, they said talk to dealer. Skillman was in Indiana, car was in NY, they offered NO assistance either with facilitating repair or compensating me for an obviously flawed vehicle repair. They claim all used vehicles sold by Skillman are thoroughly checked and 100% reliable. Hmmm, unless they actually break I guess - then you no longer exist. Over 2 dozen emails and phone calls, not even the courtesy of a response until I said I was interested in buying another car, then I got a return call in less than 1 Hr.

Excellent Sales Staff

I purchased a used ford escape from Ken Maple about 3 weeks ago. Ken was great, very happy with the sales end of the purchase, Had to go back to be recontracted due to a mistake in the pricing, felt it was an honest mistake. But the vehicke itself is looking more like a piece of crap everyday. 1st week battery went dead after sitting for 2 days, they checked it out for free but said nothing is wrong with vehicle. Now every week the check engine light cones on 2 to 3 times, when sitting at an idle it starts to run rough and there is some type of foreign substance all over vehicle including windows that will not come off. Saw that at time of purchase but thought it was just water spots. It's not. Not happy with vehicle at all. No buyers remorse, like the escape, just not all the problems having with this one. Expected more for a $12,000+ vehicle.

Excellent Sales People

Customer service is a big selling point to me and Evan McCamey at the dealership was excellent. He made sure that we were happy, satisfied and well taken care of. I was a loyal customer at another dealership whose customer service has gotten worse so I was extremely happy to see that Ray Skillman and Evan stepped up. It was also nice to see that the Sales Manager and Leasing Manager both also were concerned that we were treated correctly.

From the moment I walked on the lot, George made us feel at home. He answered all of our questions, gave us great input, and helped us find the deal that we were looking for. Bobby went the extra mile to help us get the financing we needed at the best possible rates. We had a great experience, especially since we hadn't purchased a new vehicle in nearly 15 years. Good Deal, Great Service

I needed a nice car for a nice price and I had been reccomended to go through Ray Skillman. I am very pleased with the service of salesman George Lewis as well as the people in financing and warranty center. George worked very hard to get me a great deal. The process was fast and painless with no pressure. I am very pleased with my car and will purchase again!

This experience exceeded my expectations. I absolutely hate the negotiation process with purchasing a new car. I did my homework and clearly communicated up front what I wanted, didn't want and how much I was willing to spend. Eric Carroll, my Kia sales consultant, and Cory Reber, the finance guy, listened to me and worked out a good deal on my 2015 Kia Soul purchase. Thank you gentlemen for making my car buying experience much better than I expected!

New purchase

Stopped in just to look at the Soul and it is fun looking. Drove one and really liked. Worked with Tim Perkins. He made all very easy and he was very knowledgable about the models. End result I drove out with a new Kia Soul. All were very courteous and made the process easy. Very impressed wiht the dealership.

Excellent Salesmanship

My experience was great, and I have purchased a lot of vehicles. The salesman was personable and knowledgeable. After listening to our requirements, he drove us over to the nearby Hyundai dealer and also showed us their selection as well to make sure we had a wide field of offerings. They cut us a better deal than we expected. The loan officer was great and not pushy. The visit was about as long as in past dealers'. Very satisfied.

Beware!!

These people must have vibrant imaginations. I sent a web based request for a quote on a new Sedona in December 2009 to all Indianapolis Kia dealers. Instead of responding with a quote, Skillman westside simply said they would would "beat any other offer by hundreds or pay my first payment". Sounds pretty good. So, I travelled dozens of extra miles to their dealership and was passed around through three different people (two managers and a newby associate). Of course this was after I left alone for 15 minutes. They then proceded to show me a car other than one I was interested in and then they appraised my trade. Their price was hundreds and hundreds more than a competitor's quote I did receive through the web from another Indy dealer. They actually stated this other dealer routinely lied to customers just to get them in. In fact, they said there was no way they or any other dealer could come close to that price. Well, I went to the other dealer and got a firm quote, including the value of my trade. I Emailed this to Skillman and quess what? Yep, they still said the other dealer was untruthful. Did they fullfill their unsolicited offer to pay my first payment? Absolutely not. I asked the local BBB for help. They tried, but Skillman eventually stated that they did in fact match the other dealer's offer. I hope they have vibrant imaginations, otherwise they are simply [violative content deleted]. I did buy a new Sedona from the other dealer. Funny thing, they didn't have the one I wanted in stock, so they went to another dealer to get one. Which dealer? Well, Skillman, of course. Too bad. It is companies like this that give all dealers a bad name.
