Very Happy and Very Satisfied

I have taken my Sonata in for service for over 3 years. Excellent department -- Professional and helpful. Yesterday, I was looking around and came home with a 2017 Tucson Sport Ultimate with a lot of "bells and whistles." Purchasing at this dealership was one of the easier experiences I've had in purchasing a car. No pressure. Fair and helpful advice. Upfront all the way. Everyone, no matter his/her function was helpful and wanted to please me. There was a slight miscommunication during the final stage of purchase, but it was remedied immediately to my satisfaction. I can't recommend the "happy car store" enough. One suggestion for improvement: Update your staff names and pictures so everyone is represented and can be credited for their good work!!

From Subaru to Hyundai

Kyle and entire staff was very friendly and easy to work with. Being a Subaru guy, I only stopped in to look at a Subaru which sold right before I got there. I never thought I'd be talked out of a Subaru but I wasn't and I couldn't be any happier.

2015 Hyundai Sonata Purchase from Glenbrook Hyundai

We recently purchased a new Sonata Sedan from Glenbrook Hyundai, Ft. Wayne, IN. We based our purchase decision on the fact that our old auto (2006 Sonata) had been such a great car. The new 2015 Sonata has added some improved features plus we were offered a great promotional buy that couldn't be dismissed. Our salesperson was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the sales process. Closing the sale was very smooth with the dealer's Finance Manager getting us out their door within 90 minutes of our entering their dealership. In the past, other dealers have taken three to four hours to finalize a sale. We were introduced to the dealer's Service Manager who promised us that his department was ready to provide fast, dependable and satisfactory maintenance as needed throughout the course of owning our 2015 Sonata. We give this dealership a firm 5 Star rating for a most pleasant buying experience.

Great new car buying experience

I don't buy cars often, but when I do I want a good experience rather than stress (I get enough of that at work). Brent and the Glenbrook Hyundai team provided a great atmosphere and great buying experience. Sure, they are business that needs to make a profit, but I feel I got a fair deal and the team was willing to work with me without a hassle. Thanks for a great deal. Their motto is "The Happy Car Store" and I have to say my wife and I left there happy.

Truly the Happy Car Store

On the first day of my new job, my car blew a head gasket. I only had enough money to rent one for a week. A friend referred me to Glenbrook Hyundai. What a great experience! David Dilley was wonderful, as were all the staff that I worked with. They got me into a car with insurance in place and on the road all in one day!!! I've already referred two of my friends and some family members and will continue to do so!!! Thank you Glenbrook Huyndai!!!

Unhappy Customer

My husband & I purchased a 2009 Hyundai Sonata from them 4 years ago & had a good experience. But unfortunately, my most recent purchase was awful. I won't bore you with all the details, but besides being "misinformed" (or lied to) about the used vehicle I was purchasing, they also sold me a car that needed repair work done totaling about $300 that they knew about but never informed me of before selling me the car. I have proof because 2 weeks after my car purchase I had to take it back in to have the oil changed (yes, they never checked to see if the oil needed changed before selling it!). Anyways, the paperwork they gave me from the oil change had "Previously Declined Recommendations" on it totaling about $300 in repair work. When I asked the Service Department about it I was told that “that info should have been deleted from the system”! That is deceptive & fraudulent and these are their normal business practices!!! General Manager is aware of my complaints & finally got back with me last week letting me know he's “just been so busy” but that he would address my concerns at their next weekly meeting & get back with me early the following week. Thursday morning (of the week he said I’d hear from him early in the week) I sent him an e-mail letting him know I wasn’t too happy that I hadn’t heard from him yet & that I expected to hear from him by the end of the day. Well, guess what…I’ve heard nothing out of him. Guess he's too busy again to deal with a customer complaint. I'll be filing an official complaint with the BBB and Dept of Consumer Affairs. They should have their business practices audited! The Happy Car Store has a Very Unhappy Customer! I would advise you to take your business somewhere else, especially if you’re looking at buying a used car.

2013 Sonata

I had a great experience leasing my first Hyundai Sonata!! The staff and team were great at assisting me with all my questions I had. And Cleveland Brock, the sales rep. especially helped when it came time to distinguish between buying and leasing. The car itself its great. A great ride, very smooth with a lot of safety features which was important to me with a family. I look forward to exploring the car more with time!! Thanks Glenbrook Hyundai

Very Poor Experience

Please note I have *never* posted a negative review of any service and/or product. However, I feel so strongly about my story, I wanted to pass it along to others. Long story short, I recently purchased a Hyundai Veloster from Glenbrook Hyundai – the so called “Happy Car Store.” As part of the purchase, I traded in my vehicle which had two hardwired components (car devices that are plugged directly into the car’s power source not via a cigarette lighter for example) – specifically a radar detector and GPS unit. I did remove the actual components, but the power cords (again, still hardwired) were left in the car and I asked my Sales and Leasing Consultant (Ryan C) if the dealer could remove them so as to not damage them or a part of the vehicle. Ryan said absolutely, but such would have to take place the next day as I purchased the Veloster on a Sunday and was told a proper tech was not available to perform such action. He stated once the cords were removed, they would be mailed to me. A week later, no package arrived. I called Ryan to obtain a status. He stated the cords were in the maintenance area and they would be shipped shortly. Another week later, no package. I called Ryan once more and was told my vehicle, which I traded in, was sent to auction with the cords. I was beyond furious. His solution was for me to go online and purchase the cords as they “could not be more than $20, $25 dollars.” I told him that was unacceptable and to transfer me to a manger. He did. Since then, I have spoken with two sales managers and escalated the situation to the GM - Mark M. Although he never apologized or seemed sincere, it appeared I was finally making progress. Again, his solution was for me to find the cords online and send the listings (eBay, Amazon, etc.) to him via his “personal e-mail address.” I spent my own time, found the cords, sent the listings to him, and asked either for reimbursement, or for a check to be sent and I would purchase. I have yet to hear from him – this was three weeks ago. This situation has gone on-and-on for over two+ months with no apologize nor any real assistance. I love my Veloster, but I would *never* purchase a car from Glenbrook Hyundai or recommend them to my worst enemy. And please be aware of **Ryan C**! I have never been treated so poorly, including lied to and insulted. Don’t get me wrong, he was quite attentive before the purchase, but after is another story. He has no integrity, but has the nerve to send me an e-mail stating how hard the car business is and to recommend him to friends and family. [non-permissible content removed]

Integrity in a Car Dealership Still Exists ... HERE!

I’ve purchased and sold many cars over my lifetime. Never have I had a better experience than with John at Glenbrook Hyundai (The Happy Car Store) in Fort Wayne, IN. Our youngest son needed to trade in his older model car so we decided to start looking around. He had a couple vehicles in mind that interested him and added the Hyundai Veloster to that list when his older brother mentioned it to him. After the test drive, he knew it was the right choice for him. The look and feel of the vehicle won him over but with a 34 mile roundtrip daily commute for work, the gas mileage increase topped it off. He didn’t even bother to test drive another car. John made us a deal we couldn’t refuse so he’s now the proud, HAPPY owner of a Hyundai Veloster. Thanks John for making this an actually enjoyable car buying experience for us all! P.S. We’ll be back to test drive the Genesis coupe for the hubby … soon!

elantra purchase

Good Experience

I have bought cars from dealerships that were less than honest in the past so I was skeptical about visiting Glenbrook Hyundai. Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. I went to the dealership knowing what I wanted and the maximum amount I was going to spend. John Purdy worked with me to find the vehicle I wanted and get the deal done. He was very attentive and has provided plenty of follow up. It is obvious that Hyundai has a specific process for selling vehicles that includes a demonstration of all features as well as specific timelines for follow up. It was nice to work with someone who was well trained and confident. The finance office (always a dangerous place!) tried to slip an extended warranty past me then when I pointed it out and said I didn't want it I was told "Well only the motor and transmission are made by Hyundai, the rest is done by the lowest bidder." This did not scare me into buying the warranty and I thought it was a very unprofessional statement (speaking poorly of the item you are selling is never good!) but the rest of the process went fairly well. Watch your paperwork and know what you are signing! This applies everywhere, not just Glenbrook Hyundai. Overall the entire process was very pleasant and I love my new Elantra!

Very good to do business with. Everyone there from the sales staff, the finance department and the parts department could not have been more pleasant. It is very evident that Glenbrook Hyundia wants your business and will do everything they can to make that happen. Coming from a sales background I appreciate doing business with a company that's not affraid to ask for your business. Cudos to everyone there!

We owned a 2009 Sonata and traded it in on a 2012 Sonata. My wife and I really like the Sonata. Our salesperson, Justin Stuckey, was very efficient. We told him we wanted a price on trading in our 09 for a 12 and would not spend hours there working on a deal. We told him what we were willing to pay, and he was able to come up with a satisfactory deal. They are good people to work with!

Great car buying experience

Worth the wait? Absolutely! Just under three weeks to be exact, but I couldn't be happier with my purchase and the 2012 Elantra continues to exceed my expectations on the road. I could go on and on about the 2012 Elantra, but will highlight this review by saying thanks to the Hyundai sales team and especially to Aaron Cox for making my car buying experience a great one all the way around. Aaron was extremely comfortable to work with, and did a great job with all things and details. He did it all, from the initial meeting to the follow up emails to see if I needed anything. He was informative, reliable, fair, and very helpful. He went above and beyond too. For example, he went out of his way to help me find a rental while I waited for the 2012 to come in, he arranged for me to be picked up on the day I went in to get my new ride, and then showed me how to set up the bluetooth in the new car and took his time to go through the rest of the options too. Overall, I'd rate my car buying experience with Aaron Cox and the rest of the Hyundai team a perfect "10".

Awsome Dealership

Stopped to check out cars in person. Did deal without trade in there or even check book for deposit. Sales staff were extremely friendly and bent over backwards to close the deal and make sure we were happy. I would highly recommend them if you are in the market for a new or used vehicle.

Glenbrook Hyundai

After getting the runaround from the local dealership, I contacted Glenbrook. They were very helpful and beat the local by $500.00. The quote they gave me over the phone was very reasonable and when I went to test drive the car they had it ready and waiting on their entrance ramp. The salespeople were personable and pressure was kept to a minimum.
