When Will My Car Be Ready!?!? - Update

by Adam R on 09/16/2022

This is a follow-up to my earlier review regarding communication issues (and the lack thereof) from Napleton Kia of Fishers. Fritz and Andy from Napleton Kia of Fishers reached out to me and I appreciated the opportunity to share my experience with them in greater detail. Feel these interactions warrant upon further reflection an updated review.

When Will My Car Be Ready?!?!

by Adam R on 09/04/2022

Purchased a 2020 Kia Soul from this dealership a little over two years ago. Recently, I had to take the vehicle to the dealership as a check engine light came on. Was advised that the engine had to be replaced due to what was apparently, a warranty issue? The car was at the dealership for 31 days. During that time, received a few texts from the service advisor during the first nine days they had my car. The car was at the dealership for 31 days. During the remainder of those 31 days, the service department was virtually non-existent and non-communicative with respect to the status of repairs to my car. I left numerous messages both by text and vm with various members of their service department. All I got in return was silence. How is one supposed to interpret silence?!?! Since they're not very communicative, suggest you take your car somewhere else for service and/or warranty work! Stay away from Napleton Kia of Fishers! Please DON'T bother asking me to call you back! Since you’ve demonstrated to me no interest whatsoever in answering your phone or returning messages (i.e one, two or even six!!), then I certainly don’t want to waste any more of my time than what has already been spent. Assuming for even the briefest of moments, you would genuinely like to hear more about my concerns regarding this most recent experience, your representative is welcome to contact me based on information previously supplied to both you and your employees.

Too Concern with Gotcha Versus Servicing the Customer

by Ben G on 11/08/2021

I have never found it more difficult to spend over $50,000. I offered to purchase a vehicle at full prince over the phone first thing at opening. After multiple layers to speak with an induvial that could actually act upon the offer, I was called back five hours later to be told that someone had came into the dealership and purchased the vehicle before they could speak to their manager. They pushed and pushed for me to come in and test drive, however, I just wanted to purchase and pickup. You only get one first impression and the Napleton Kia of Fishers is poor customer service as best.

AWFUL

by Randy on 09/18/2021

I was looking at a 2016 Chevy Malibu. The price was 13k and I was texting one of the sales people for a few days. I was planning to take it for a test drive today and then yesterday they raised the Price 3k to 16k. So someone gets interested in a car and you raise the price? This is why people do not trust dealerships , always lying. I suggest to go else where for a vehicle. Update: One of the The General Mangers contacted me an said I could have it for the normal price last night. Today a different manager contacted me and said the car had sold this past Saturday. if it sold on Saturday, how come its still on your website six days later? You raise the price and now the price is back down to 13k. is the car even real or is it some kind of tactic to draw customers in to persuade them to buy something else? I'm not the smartest cookie in the jar, but I can smell something fishy.

Stellar Management

by Rachel Younger on 06/22/2021

The five star review is for the General Manager (Mike Foster), our Salesman (Q), and Liz in the service department. There were several ups and downs, and I believe it was due to expanding the building and employment decisions. Things happen. Mike personally handled the issues I had and made sure they were taken care of in a timely fashion. I will happily be coming back when it is time for an upgrade.

Damaged Our Vehicle & False Promises

by D Scully on 05/10/2021

My wife and I live in NC and purchased a 2017 Dodge Durango from salesperson Gee @ Napleton Kia of Fishers, IN. Gee sent us photographs of the vehicle upon request which showed zero damage to the body of the vehicle. We purchased the vehicle at the asking price and arranged for a carrier service to deliver the vehicle. Upon pickup @ Napleton, the carrier driver, James, took photographs of the vehicle which showed a sizeable dent and deep scratches in the front bumper along with scratches on the driver rear quarter-panel. We were never called or notified Napleton had an accident in our vehicle. Chad Ingram signed the delivery paperwork acknowledging fault for the damage. To add insult to injury, the vehicle also arrived without the 2nd key fob or temporary tags. It took three days before we were able to get someone to answer the phones at Napleton and finally email us the tag. We were told by 'Ray' in March we would receive a check for $1597.72 to repair the vehicle. Ray also stated he would pay for detailing the vehicle as it arrived filthy both inside and out. To date we have been shown a picture of a $1500 check request signed by Klaryssa. We have also not received a license plate. We have either been hung up on or given the runaround countless times. We have left innumerable messages and not one person outside of Klaryssa has ever returned any of our calls or reached out to us. We have left numerous messages with both the GM, Mike Foster and Chad Ingram. And we have never been able to find 'Ray' who we were was told was the Regional Manager. At this point we have filed with the BBB in the hopes someone, anyone, at this dealership has the moral and ethical fortitude to do the right thing by acknowledging their mistake and making it right.

HORRIBLE experience. Scam. Run.

by JR on 03/08/2021

My husband inquired about a '20 Kia Telluride that had been leased in 2019 (white exterior/black interior) with roughly 8400 miles. He spoke to Klaryssa on the phone around 9AM. He called 12:30n CST and said we'd be there 3:30p EST. Klaryssa introduced us to Carlos. We took the vehicle for a drive without him. We immediately noticed yellow paint smeared on back passenger door and bumper (as if someone hit something). Radio, AC worked, but there were broken/missing pieces, dirty windows & interior, trash, pet fur, but more noticeably, the glove compartment had mens cologne, masks, fast food receipts stemming from 2/25 (it was 3/5), papers from a child's after school program, open bag of peanuts, basically what you would find if it was someones personal vehicle. The mileage was 1k miles over what their website said. We told Carlos and he brought out the GM (I forgot his name, but started with an R.) He said he was embarrassed and it was bad business. Showing his disgust, the GM started throwing F bombs and talking rudely about the employee who was taking the vehicle and using it for his own personal use. We were upset as they had ample time to clean and prepare the vehicle, but GM said he would offer us an AMAZING deal so we stayed. He assured us the paint could be buffed out. The vehicle went to detailing. Carlos wanted us in a private room to talk, but we declined. 45 min later, the vehicle was ready. The only difference was the glove compartment was cleaned and trash picked up. Other than that, the same. I asked Carlos about the '21 Telluride we saw on the lot when we arrived. Our attention drew to the MSRP which was the same as the '20. The wrapping was still on the head seats as well as other parts of the vehicle. I jokingly asked what the catch was. He said it was because its FWD, but we should buy the newer vehicle and there's no catch. He suggested a test drive. We did. Bluetooth/radio/AC/ everything looked great. Inside, Brian presented #'s for each vehicle. They were disgustingly off. They upped the '21 by $10k because it was a sought after vehicle and were hard to come by. We had heard of this but this wasn't told to us upfront only hours later when we were presented with papers. I told Brian to go back and give us the amazing deal the GM promised. He came back an hour later offering us a $700 check that we could take somewhere to fix the passenger door and bumper where the yellow damage was- we'd have to cover the rest. I laughed & told my husband we're being played and should leave. They asked to rework a few numbers, I agreed. When they came back, I noticed Brian had an airpod in his ear. I told them I wanted to talk to my husband privately. I observed Brian removing the airpod when they left. Hmm. Hour later, they said they would give us what we wanted for the '21 if we gave them a 5 star review. Nathaniel, finance. In walks Brian with his one airpod in and sits down. I thought it was odd as no salesman had ever sat-in during this process. I noticed the plan we wanted had half-synthetic oil checked off. He made a few calls and said you're right, we'll change it. Nathaniel asked us for the key to look under the hood. During this time, I so happen to look up the reviews of this place (shame on us for not looking earlier). I decided to talk about the reviews and how fees were being thrown in there unbeknownst to the customer. Nathaniel must have not heard me correctly and started to say "we would never do this. As you can see, other dealerships are throwing in fees." I cut him off and said, "No, those are reviews about YOUR dealership." He didn't reply. 30 min later, we take a break to look at the vehicle more. Nathaniel came to us and said "come tomorrow and finish the deal- the vehicle will be here all day." (He's saying this about a vehicle they upped the price $10k because it was hard to come by and "flying off the lot.") We said no. Nathaniel said "okay, let's go sign some papers." Nonchalantly, he asked us for the key again. That raised our eyebrow. He said he needed to check the shipping mode. My husband said the radio worked and we drove it. We go back into his office and in walks Nathaniel w/o Brian, sits down and tells us the shipping mode is ON at 79%. We can buy it, but cannot take it home because it's too late to inspect it. We lost it. It was 9:30pm and we wasted 3 hrs on a vehicle. Why we were able to test drive and discuss #'s about a vehicle for 3 hrs only to be told it wasn't fully inspected and cannot take home is beyond me. Make your own assumptions about this as we've made ours. We're glad we didn't buy from them, but wow, what a waste of time! Left 12PM and came home 12AM. Worth noting, we called the numbers on the business cards instead of the number they keep posting on every review to "discuss our experience." All claimed we had the wrong number/person.

Not worth the drive if you’re out of state

by LKW0527 on 06/16/2020

NOT WORTH THE DRIVE IF YOU'RE OUT OF STATE. Common theme with these 1 star reviews. Called at 9am to let them know that we were driving 2 hours, plus a time change, to see a KIA Sorento. We were told it was available and texted before we left to confirm-no response. Arrived and that car was already sold. They did have a KIA Sorento with the same trim level just higher mileage and different color than expected. We decided to move forward since we drove far and hoped they would work with us on a deal. The 2017 KIA Sorento was priced at $22,000 but their monthly payment plan added up to $30,000. Thankfully, my husband did his research and knows his numbers because it was a JOKE! Our salesman was Mitch, nice guy, but his hands are tied and he has no actual say in numbers. Manager came to speak with us and we were able to come to an agreement. Chris the finance guy is EXTREMELY pushy. He will fudge numbers and interest rates for days. NEVER accept the first, second, or third offer. WE WERE AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR 6 HOURS!! Plus a 2 hour drive there and back. They seemed sympathetic to our drive but did NOTHING to move the process along. They noticed it had only a quarter tank of gas and we were told that they would add more before we leave; we got in the car to see they added enough to make it a half tank. We are very happy with our KIA Sorento because it is a KIA product NOT because of the dealership. We would NEVER recommend this dealership to a friend or family member and hope this review makes you take your business elsewhere.

Robbed of good car buying experience

by Luzangulo on 06/11/2020

Very disappointed with the way i was treated after coming back in to dispute additional charges on my contract that i had not agreed on or were offered free. I was in and out from financing in 15 minutes and at no point were conditions or additional charges other than the price of the vehicle explained to me. The conversation with the finance representative began with “ we’re going to do this as fast as we can because i have to go pick up my son”. Packages that were promised to me free by a different salesman who took over the sale at some point (not Shane) were charged twice the value of the package. When i came back in to dispute this i was yelled in my face interrupted every sentence without being able to explain why i was upset. The salesman did not take notes of any of my concerns knowing that the finance representative was not going to be in office until Friday 6/12 (two days later). I was not directed to a GM instead the salesman walked away and went outside to smoke a cigarette then proceeded to argue saying i was just “too worried” and he was going to take care of the issue in two days knowing at that point i had no trust that my issue would be fixed because he had no authority to promise anything. I am awaiting for a call to come back in and hear good news but i was robbed from having a good car buying experience.

Kyle Lunning

by mandytnb21 on 01/22/2020

Kyle was knowledgeable on the vehicle features and was not pushy. I was a hard sell only because I didn’t necessarily “need” to trade but he was patient and accommodating with all of my questions and gave me time to consider options... also I found out he’s single so ladies, come check out the packages he has to offer.

Great experience

by mpaulp71 on 01/07/2020

Walked in knowing what I wanted. Salesman immediately assisted me and answered all questions without any pressure or pushiness. Was very courteous and immediately assisted me with a test drive and some worked up numbers. Upon agreement and purchase within only about an hour, he took the time to completely go over vehicle features and answer any questions. The experience was very enjoyable and I would absolutely recommend the dealer to any of my friends or family.

Nick and Chris are Awesome!

by Shelena on 01/04/2020

As a woman, I have received such fair, kind, and respectful treatment with each and every visit to the service center at Kia of Fishers. I have been treated as a "dumb woman" by service reps at car dealerships in the past, and it was infuriating. Not here! Every time I come in, I know that I am going to be greeted with a smile and treated like a VIP! I've had outstanding experiences with with Chris (service manager) throughout the years and was wondering if I would receive the same level of service with a newer face, Nick. Nick won me over the first time he and I met. Like Chris, Nick always greets me with a smile, remembers my name, and I love his easy going personality. Whether I'm there for an oil change for my 2019 Sorento, or a costly repair on my older Kia Optima, I always receive customer service that exceeds my expectations. It feels more like dropping in to visit with old friends, than a trip to a service department in a car dealership. This is how it should be everywhere, but unfortunately, it's becoming more and more rare. I'm so thankful for their outstanding customer service I know I can count on time and time again!

Wes really was helpful.

by Rachel on 08/30/2018

Today I took my car in to get it serviced and Wes helped me understand things much better with my issues. It wasn't an issue with car......but with me...lol, He and another gentleman were very on it , helped me understand and was very compassionate because I felt as though I wasted their time on my lack of knowledge. I got it in and they took care of it checked to make sure things were ok and explained to me. Thank you Wes

Napleton Kia is Absolutely the Best!

by JacobShelena on 05/04/2018

We purchased a new, 2018 Kia Sorento about two weeks ago. Jen was super sweet and a pleasure to work with, BJ took care of financing, and we really liked him too. No pressure, very transparent and easy to work with. But then we were made aware of some weird defects on the exterior by a car wash attendant. We took the vehicle back to the dealership and the store manager, Chris Hutton, took one look at it and said "Wow. Ok. We are going to get you a new one!" We were so relieved at how easy the process of getting a new Sorento was! Chris went above and beyond what we could have ever expected in every aspect of this transaction! He treated us like royalty, and we ended up with an upgraded model for a very good price! We LOVE IT! It is fully loaded and has the amazing panoramic sun roof. It's a beautiful SUV, purchased at a great price, with the unbelievable 100,000 mile Kia warranty. We feel badly that the dealership had to take a financial loss to make sure we were taken care of. But that shows the level of commitment to their clients, and how honest and fair they are! If I could rate our experience TEN STARS, I would! I would recommend anyone in the market for a new vehicle to visit Napleton Kia of Fishers, and take a look! You won't be disappointed. We couldn't be happier with the quality of our new vehicle, and the awesome service we received. Thanks guys! Jacob and Shelena Jones 😉

Very accommodating

by AshleyJ on 04/09/2018

I went to Napleton to check out a car I found on CarGurus. When I got there, the car was pulled up front for me and I was greeted right away. I got to test drive the car immediately. It was a Saturday, so it was busy. I expected to do some waiting. I waited for maybe 15 minutes total between one thing and another. Mark M. was the sales person and he was great. He didn't make me feel pressured and helped me get the best deal on the car. I was even able to drive the car home for the weekend with no money to hold it. I came back Monday with my check. I expected a little push back from having outside financing, but Mark was great. We got started immediately. He helped me get everything together to make the transaction as efficient as possible. The only waiting I did today was for the clean up. Mark was very friendly (as was all the staff) and helpful. I would definitely reccommened him and Napleton to anyone looking for a good deal.
