Dishonest dealership

by Not happy on 10/18/2022

Buyer beware! The sticker price is not what they charge. They added $2500 to the price during negotiations. They said it was for paint, roadside assistance, etc. all stuff we didn’t need and they wouldn’t remove. They advertise they are below kbb. The sticker price is, but not when they get you in the door. After this happened, I read reviews on BBB reporting the same thing. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

False Advertising

by False Advertising on 12/31/2019

This dealership advertises a cerified vehicle at a certain price and then adds 1900 more on to the price for it being certified when you try to buy it at the advertised price. Isn't that illegal?

Best dealership and salesman around!

by Kscarbo13 on 12/27/2018

This is my 3rd vehicle (lease) from Jeff Wyler Toyota and every experience has been fantastic! Our salesman each time is Dennis Hughes and he is phenomenal. He goes above and beyond any salesman I have ever dealt with and as long as he's selling vehicles he will always be our go to person. Because of the excellent customer service and quality of their cars we won't go anywhere else.

Poor Dealership

by LapidaB on 11/02/2017

We did not enjoy our experience at this Toyota dealership. We went to look at used SUVs, and the detailing department did a poor job. The SUVs we looked at were not as clean as they should have been (we have since visited other dealerships and their cars are much cleaner and nicer overall). We did not like the SUVs that they had available and had decided we were not going to buy that day. Also, there were scratches in dents in one of the SUVs we looked at, and when we asked about this we were told all used SUVs would have this. The sales person we were with kept telling us "no pressure" and then going on and on about how we would not find another SUV that is at such a good price for the miles. He was wrong and we knew it, we went to Honda and bought a used SUV with better mileage for a fair price. Finally, most dealerships keep a folder with the carfax in every single car. At this dealership, you have to ask for it and then they show it to you on their phone. This place seems very unprofessional and a low grade dealership. If you want to visit a shady dealership with half-assed work, go here.

anywhere but here

by Glendini on 05/04/2016

I got a price guarantee from Edmunds and made an appointment to see the truck i was interested in. I spoke with the dealer over the phone that morning to ask some questions about the truck. I went there about 40 min drive, they didn't even have the truck!!!! Showed me one that was $6000 more and the wrong color. I had them appraise my vehicle and they came up with a ridiculous offer. I had already checked KBB and they were $4000 lower than worse case scenario. I feel like they are [non-permissible content removed] and will try to cheat you anyway they can. Buyer beware, do you research first.

Excellent service; 2nd car purchased!

by bkroger1005 on 12/30/2014

I originally bought a car from Jeff Wyler Clarksville over 2 years ago. I worked with Dennis Hughes at that time and received excellent service. At this time, I wanted to trade my SUV in for a smaller car. My first thought was to again contact Dennis Hughes, as my first experience had been so positive, quick and easy! I've now purchased my 2nd vehicle from Jeff Wyler Clarksville, and again, the experience has been nothing but positive. I'd highly recommend this dealership!

Great Experience

by thomas97 on 02/15/2014

We worked with James H when purchasing our 2011 Honda CRV. James was persistent without being pushy and he was very professional during price negotiations. We were pleased with our experience in purchasing from Jeff Wyler and will recommend the dealership to our friends. The sales center was very nice and clean and all of the employees were courteous and accommodating.

Great & Timely Service

by RaylaR on 02/08/2014

Rob was very friendly when I came to him about a cracked door panel on my Toyota Sienna Van. He researched some different options for me & called me back in a timely manner. Once I brought the van into the service center, he told me the price would be even lower than we have previously discussed because he had applied a coupon to the service. I appreciate the timely work of the service center. A job I had expected to take 3-4 hours only took 2!!

most dis-honest place i've been too

by cpow87 on 02/02/2014

To whom it may concern, Hello, My name is Caleb and I purchased a 2010 Toyota Corolla from Jeff Wyler Toyota back in June of 2013, at the time of my purchase I only received one key that could operate my vehicle, in January of 2014 the casing of the one key that I had received started to crack and I realized that I would need to replace it in the event that It broke all the way on Tuesday January 28th I contacted the parts department at Jeff Wyler Toyota where I purchased the vehicle from to see about getting a new case for my key and was told that I would have to purchase a new key. I thought ok so I had the parts department order the key as it was not in stock and he let me know that it would cost about 50 dollars to have the key programmed and I was fine with all of that. I received a call on Thursday January 30th 2014 that my key had come in and that I could come by and get it cut and calibrated, at that time the parts guy that I was talking to asked if I would like to be transferred over to the service department so that I could schedule an appointment to have my key programmed, when he transferred me no one ever answered the phone and it never quit ringing so that I might leave a message so that someone could call me back about my service. I thought to myself that they must be busy and that I would try again later or the next day. I called again on Friday the 31st of January and to no success I was met with the same thing and the phone would ring and ring a ring and no one would ever answer. I arrived at Jeff Wyler Toyota of Clarksville Indiana at about 1 PM on February 1st 2014 and received my key and had it cut by the parts department, I went over to the service department and informed them of my phone calls and Eric the service manager that was there did not even try to apologize just looked at his watch and told me that the service department closed at 2 and that he would try to get me in at 2 if he could as I told him this was kind of an emergency. My first encounter with Eric happened at approximately 1:15 Pm at 1:30 Pm I had looked up on the internet on maybe how I could program the key myself and I went to tell Eric that I wanted to try that with my car while I waited and he informed me that my car had already been driven into the service bay to have my key programmed. I thought well great I don’t have to wait as long. After he tells me that it’s in the bay to be programmed about 25 to 35 min later he comes back and tells me that when the tech removed my master key from the car because it was broken that they were going to have to what he called “re-seed, my key to the car”, as all the information was lost and could not be used to program a different key, at the cost of 365 dollars or something close to that number. So I asked him how this was possible as he had driven the car into the building with my key that I had also just used and no one could tell me anything other than they could let me borrow a car for the weekend while they re-seed my key to the car at the cost of 365 dollars and if I didn’t want to pay for it they could have my car towed back to the house. Of course at this time I am a little agitated and have an attitude and I kindly ask to speak to his boss and at this time I have not been yelling or cursing at anyone just agitated understandably I’d say, especially after they had already driven my car once with my key that they are now telling me is bad all of a sudden. So now the new key that I just purchased can’t be programed and they are telling me that my original key will not start my vehicle now either so after having the same conversation with Eric’s manager some lady I apologize I do not remember her name but she was said to be the service department manager, and she told me the same thing Eric told me so I asked to speak with her boss. I was told his name but do not recall at this time but nonetheless was told that he was the general manager of the sales department and he came out and introduced himself and started out by saying that I need to be careful of the way I talk to his employee’s, and once again I had not been cursing and or yelling and yes I did have an attitude but once again I think it was understandably so. So with this outside perspective I tried to explain to him what had happened and all I was getting told was that my key was bad and that they were not going to pay for the key being broken as when the tech pulled the key out it lost all of the information contained therein. So frustrated as I was I just told the sales general manager that I would not be paying them anymore money and that he could have the car towed back to my house, at that time he told me that he was tired of my attitude and asked me and my family (wife and 2 year old son) to step outside and wait until they finished with my car. I asked him if he would retrieve my child seat from the car as I had to get a ride home as my vehicle was no longer operational, he did retrieve the child seat and he did also ask if we needed a ride home but in my frustration I was not going to get into a vehicle with one of the employee’s from that store. So when my ride came I returned home to wait for my vehicle to get there with all the keys that were bad to come with it. When the tow truck driver left I got into the driver seat and stuck the original key back into the vehicle (the key that I went to the store with the one they told me had lost all the information in it) and I started the vehicle. Complete and utter anger followed as I felt as they were trying to lie to me to get me to spend more money so that I could use my car as they did have me in a pickle as that key they told me was bad was the only key I had! I hope you can see the severe frustration and complete feeling that I was trying to be taken advantage of. Now let me tell you a little bit about myself. I started out in diesel mechanic at the age of 17 with my two older brother preceding me into that line of work. I then went on to join the army in Feb of 2006 as a diesel mechanics. I spent 7 years in the army as a diesel mechanic and since December 202 when I got out I have been a diesel mechanic at Bosselman Boss Shop in Memphis Indiana. In saying this I have caught this hoax of a dealership trying to take advantage of someone they thought would not know the difference and just go along with the program and pay whatever they wanted me to pay. I don’t know who is going to see this letter. I’ve never in my life been so angry to right a letter to business or anyone for that matter. It just makes me sick to see that your business is so willing to take advantage of so many people, because if this happened to me who knows how many other people it has happened to in the past or how many it will happen to in the future. With the hopes that this will make it to be seen by someone that can help me and everyone else this has happened to at your business. I don’t want anything free out of this I just want to get good down home honest service from the car dealership that I purchased my car from without having to second guess their integrity of the service I’ve come to receive and pay for! Sincerely, Caleb
