onThe group at Happy Hyundai in Oak Lawn were so honest and helpful I still can’t believe it. My daughter, who commutes to college everyday, was looking for a reliable and affordable car. We had just spent almost 2 hours at a Honda dealership with nothing to show for it. We decide to stop by just to ask about pricing, but we were so welcomed and treated like people who wanted to buy a car by people who wanted to sell cars that we end up making a great purchase. Thanks to Courtney our sales person and Ahmad the manager for such a pleasurable experience with my daughters first new car purchase. Also big thanks to Victor the Finance Director. This staff was honest and realistic with us and spent plenty of time answering all my nervous dad questions as well as walking my daughter through the entire process. I wish we would have gone here a month ago to save us so much time and headaches. You guys rock!!! Thanks again. We will definitely be back here for our next purchase.

Horrible Service..Rude to African Americans

onVery Horrible place...I brought them my bank information and the next three days they wanted me to submit it again..Very concerned because what car dealership looses your bank information. When i tried to address this issue..They demanded that i give bank statements again or they will take my car..Bank information and statements should be kept confidential. Will be calling BBB..ABBB..And will be conducting a complaint to proper inspection authorities.

onA lot of times once you tell a sales person that you are just looking right now their demeanor changes. It's understandable that they would be disappointed as looking does not create a commission. Today I had a most pleasant "just looking" experience thanks to Thomas Johnson in Sales. He took the time to explain the different models and take me on a test drive in the surprisingly wonderful Sonata Sport. Very nice! Both the car and the salesman. When I am ready to buy I will be back. Thanks for a great experience Thomas!

onI had a great experience buying a car at Happy Hyundai! Chad is a great salesman and he treated me really good! He listened to what I was looking for and found the perfect fit for me. He was patient, he explained everything from the negotiating. I can truly say that I am very thankful. I would recommend anyone to go to Happy Hyundai if they are looking for a new car!

Avoid the sales department at all costs

onMy salesman was really nice initially, but I ended up being sold a car that has some maintenance issues without any notification. He and his manager provided a Carfax report and even told me that the car has been thoroughly inspected and has had anything worn replacedabsolutely false. Not a month in and the car needs a flush and a new timing belt. As their service department reported to me, and I quote exactly: "You've got a couple issues that you've neglected to care for over the past year, would you like to take care of these?" $700+ in extra repairs in addition to a starter malfunction (the latter was covered by the warranty, so not an issue). As much as you try to contact them (by phone, leave a message by phone, email, go in person, etc.) unless you catch them while you're there unexpectedly, they will not speak with you. I've called several times for some things with no return call. Not once. It's absolutely dreadful to deal with. Their service center is overpriced, but the people working there are nice, so I wouldn't count this as a negative towards them. Just do not buy a car here. Stay away.

onI went in to dealership on Wednesday night. I was greeted by Danny Losano he is salesperson. Very friendly, explains information very good. I did not buy that night because I need to think about it but Danny call me and text me many times to make sure I am good and still thinking about deal. I like that so I talk to my wife and decide we go next day and buy car. Danny customer service is excellent and I recommend you ask for him. Thank you.

Terrible Sales Experience

onDO NOT COME HERE. If there was a way to do negative stars I would. If you're thinking about buying a car here, run. I stopped in because I was quoted a price over the phone; and assured it could be improved upon if I made the 2 HOUR drive over there. Should have heeded my instincts and avoided at all costs. Anyways, I walk in, state the price I was quoted, and AFTER an hour of complaining and convincing me I had to be mistaken requote a significantly higher price. And the sales manager had to gall to tell me to my face he didn't think I could afford the car, and was wasting everyone's time. What reasonable salesperson says that? Anyways, after being offended and wasting hours of my life here, I drove over to Pugi Hyundai and closed the deal within 30 minutes.

onWorst experience yet buying a car. Was enticed to come in and promised a price over phone. Get there and charge us $1,100 more for "items they added to car when it arrived". Pretty sure this amount was added for their mistake on a good price. Decided to buy car anyway and was exited with a key and no remote car opener and no gas in the car. Seriously?? Worst customer service ever with [non-permissible content removed] and selfish people. Also never cleaned our seats (which had stains). #nothinghappyaboutthisplace

onThey provide false information on their website and they also provide fake invoice to prove that they are only gonna make $300 out of this car but the truth is they decrease the final out the door by $500, how some one can sell the car with $200 loss, fake, not true information.

onI'm very disappointed with my service at Happy Hyundai - it was far from happy. The actual car buying experience was fairly straightforward, but interacting with the facility after the fact was very unpleasant. The technicians are absolutely amazing, but everyone else is rude, inconsiderate, and treats customers like dirt. I quickly learned that the 150-point inspection guaranteed with a certified pre-owned vehicle was never actually completed --- my air and cabin filters looked like they hadn't been changed for months (full of band-aids, cigarettes), I wasn't provided a spare key upon purchase (it took multiple visits AND convincing to be given a spare key), the under-hood insulation was completely torn (I was given an IOU during purchase to complete this, but still had to come in twice to get this fixed), and on top of all of this, the service at the facility has been awful. There's been a complete turn over of employees, the front desk staff would look away/not be focused as I expressed my complaints, and I had to follow up multiple times to ensure appointments were made. When bringing up the quality of the air and cabin filters and showing the front desk staff that there were no service records on my vehicle prior to purchase, I was basically laughed at. My service technician even went to the front desk to explain this and was treated very poorly as well. I wouldn't recommend purchasing a vehicle from this facility as there's a large disconnect between the front desk and technicians, the premium purchased for a certified pre-owned vehicle is a waste since the thorough inspections aren't completed, and after a car purchase you're no longer treated as a valuable customer. Upon every visit, most employees I had talked with on the phone had been fired. But even so, each experience has been far worse than the last. This dealership is far from professional -- take your business elsewhere.

Poor experience

onWe are currently in the market for vehicle and decided to stop to take a look at the Hyundai line of cars. Based on the pricing that was advertised on the dealer's website, we took a 2017 Elantra Limited for a test drive. It showed the purchase price of the vehicle as $15,943. We were given a price of $1000 down and a lease payment of $109/mo. for 36 mos. and 12,000 miles per year. The next morning, I received a call that they would give me an additional $250 off if I stopped in again. When I went back, they told me the vehicle I test drove would be $299/mo. for 36 mos. and I was told the price I was given was on a base model Elantra. They then called back and quoted a price on the base model of $165/mo. I am extremely dissatisfied and feel they are dishonest in their ability to accurately quote prices. There are many options of dealers and manufacturers, and I would not recommend Happy Hyundai. The experience was frustrating and I don't think I would visit another Hyundai dealer.

Poor communication and follow up

onI went to the dealership after making an 11 am appointment with Ashly. Was told by email " I will have the vehicle ready for you. Please ask for the VIP Manager when you arrive. I look forward to meeting you." And also "I have set some time aside to make sure that your buying experience is Fast, Fun and Friendly." When we got there she was nowhere to be found. After 5 minutes we got passed off to the next available salesperson and was then told the vehicle was in the process of being sold. I understand they were very busy and that they can't hold a vehicle for a potential customer and the first come first serve basis. I have no issue that the vehicle was being sold to someone ahead of me. What I didn't care for is that I got several texts to confirm the appointment which I did confirm and also asked that they let me know if the vehicle was not going to be available as to not waste my or their time. I ended up driving 45 minutes there for nothing and a courtesy call or text would have been nice to let me know the vehicle was no longer available for my appointment. Maybe these emails are just computer generated to make you fell like you will be meeting with a specific person and it gave me the impression I was going to get a more personalized experience. The salesperson was pleasant but had no idea why we were there. Had to look us up in a database, went to get the car and then informed us it was being sold. I will say it was fast and frriendly, but not fun.
