I don't have possession of the vehicle. The SUV has not been modified to accommodate my disability. I requested to have it removed to another mobility. There is no one helping me. This dealership does not accommodate disabled driver refusing to pay for the modification even after a sizable down payment. My attorney will be contacting you. I am also filing a consumer compliant with the Illinois Attorney Generals Office for unfair practices.

I have always purchased outright. This was my first experience financing a vehicle. I don't have horrible credit, but it's not perfect. I had financing secured through my credit union, and the dealership was able to get me a better interest rate! I found the car the first day it was listed on an internet search, and was there to see it the next day. They did not have any time to detail it, so they kept it for an extra day and then drove it two hours away to deliver it to me. And they filled the gas tank back up! I am so happy with my purchase. My oldest will be driving in a year, and I will be back there to find her a quality used vehicle!

Stock Number: GO6782 General Manager Bret Pechtold and Sales & Leasing Consultant Bob Simon are epic. Flat-out, hands down epic, beating other dealerships –including our personal go-to favorite CarMax by several thousand dollars (between the averages in miles, condition and cost, along with much appreciated professionalism and congeniality). That needed to be said, first. We turned to Arnie Bauer in search for a replacement of our 2013 GMC Terrain, as very recently our trusty GMC was totaled after being t-boned by a Toyota Verso. (Thankfully no fatalities.) An unfortunate accident only made worse by having our identity stolen just days before, leaving us in a serious financial bind… With less than 72 hours on the clock from the insurance company, we had simple aims to find a vehicle equipollent to the one we’d lost. On top of the accident, recovery, living with disability, and all that follows . . . It was much easier said than done. (Especially considering we researched 6 straight weeks before confidently picking our first and late GMC Terrain - needless to say, we’d loved that one.) And now, with thanks to Arnie Bauer & all the staff we had the pleasure of dealing with, I can say - with confidence - we were able to put a good end to a very trying week with an equally, if not better, 2013 GMC Terrain. Arnie Bauer Buick GMC Cadillac in Matteson had the best result of all comparable options to select, by a variety of dealerships and locations, saving us from the prospect of trekking out of state - pressed for time - and on limited means. To our complete and utter gratitude and astonishment, Bret Pechtold & Bob Simon went above and beyond in old-school style “neighborly” complement, of enabling us to drive our replacement while the papers were still in the works. (Our State Farm settlement check had not yet cleared and the insurance company sponsored rental -our only means of transportation- was to be up before all was said and done…) As it was, we found our “Atlantis Blue” (a fitting name for the color, given a damn nigh mythical sale: made just under the wire, not only by our deadline but also the dealership’s) sitting front and center on the showroom floor. Knowing it was the best of all our options, we were further encouraged to find both dealership and salespersons equally interested making a fair transaction as well as serving earnest buyers in a tough market. And really, that’s the most anyone can ask for- all we could have asked for, considering Bret Pechtold decently knocked $100.00 off our bill, and Bob Simon okayed a $200.00 down payment instead of the preferred $300-$500 once again, making this process possible where it would otherwise not have been. Another huge help in a string of actions that facilitated a timely replacement, empowering us to get back into the swing of things, and our lives, in a time of need. As my wife said, “It was perfect . . .” And it really was. In the 37 years since my first automobile purchase - a collective 69 years and 20 automobiles between us - we can safely say, (my wife and I,) that it has been without a doubt the best automobile sale we’ve ever signed the paperwork on. Even without taking into account just having experienced firsthand the worst automobile collision of my life, thus far. My Story … started in 2002, when I purchased my Envoy XLT from Arnie Bauer. I truly love that car, I am honestly thinking about getting it back just so I can drive it from time to time. I live in the South Suburbs, but work in the North Suburbs. I have put a lot of highway miles on my Envoy. I tried to trade her in on several occasions; 2005, 2007 and 2009. None of the new models were better than my car! I recently looked up and I was over 315,000 miles. I have written this type of letter many times, but never sent it off. I LOVE GMC and I wanted the company to know, what an ambassador I have been. Last week, I decided to see what was available and I met Jessica the Internet Specialist. She made an appointment for me and that is when I met Henry. It is because of him I am writing this letter now, as a new car owner. My heart is still hurting, but the staff at Arnie Bauer was very friendly, patient and understanding. For the second time in my young life, THANK YOU!!!. I purchased a 2014 Terrain SLE-2.
