Classic Bait & Switch! Avoid at all cost!

by Kevin on 01/16/2018

Classic Bait & Switch! Avoid this dealership at all cost...there are plenty of other honest options out there. I'd give a 0 star rating if it was possible! I started contact thru the CarGurus site & was quickly contacted back by Yesenia R. She answered my questions quickly & got other's involved to answer warranty information. The two people (Patrick M. & Maria B.) also answered my warranty related questions quickly. They asked if this was the only vehicle that I was interested in & I told them that it was. With the low advertised price of the vehicle & the quick responses, I felt that I was dealing with a legit business. The weekend before MLK day I was in contact with Yesenia R. & discussed coming in on MLK day if the expected snow held off. I told her that I was coming from over an hour away & she contacted me early Monday morning to ask if I was still going to be making it. I just finished a midnight shift, had about 2 hours of sleep & informed her that I'd be able to make it & asked about the roads/snow out her way. She stated that the roads/snow were not bad. I then asked her if the vehicle that I wanted to look at was still on the lot. She informed that it was still available. It took about 1 1/2 hours to make it to this "dealership." Upon walking into the "dealership" I was approached by a sales person that asked how he could help me. I told him that I wanted to speak with Yesenia R. who I have already been in contact with about the 2015 Flex. He left, came back quickly & said that she was out on a test drive with that particular vehicle but didn't know if the people were interested in the vehicle. He then promptly asked me if I would be interested in another vehicle. Realizing that I had just been baited in by the extremely low price of the vehicle that I intended to view, I told him thanks for wasting my time & walked out. I immediately contacted Yesenia & she replies, "I work in the back office I do not actually sit with customer to close deals. I apologize for any confusion. However, just spoke to my manager who informed we just sold the vehicle 20 min prior to your arrival." If they sold this vehicle 20 minutes before my arrival, why was I told that she was out on a test drive in it? Why would she be out test driving the vehicle if, in her own words, she works in back, does not sit w/customer & doesn't close deals? This vehicle was not on their lot the day I drove out there. What's even more pathetic is that the vehicle is still listed on multiple sites doing its job as the bait car! Absolutely pathetic & I will also be contacting Ford about their lack of ethics for engaging in these practices.

Certified Pre-Owned had dry rotting tires, wouldn't call back

by jrsjason on 05/13/2017

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned car from them, two of the tires were dry rotting and were 6 years (!) older than my car. So either they didn't fully inspect it or they ignored the dry rot to save money and certified it anyways. They might have even replaced worn tires with the old tires themselves, I don't know. When confronted they promised a return phone call within 30 minutes, five days later I still hadn't heard from them so I called again. They refused to cover the cost of the replacement, I asked the sales manager (Raul) to look into it further and he promised he would and that he'd call me back by Wednesday. It is now Saturday and I still have not heard back.

by Msmolly on 07/29/2016

I purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion from metro ford on 6500 S Western and I have not had this car for 2 months and having problems already I bring the car in to be serviced and find out that they never pre serviced my car before selling it to me after they purchased it from another dealer I'm pissed they never checked the oil never placed a sticker about my next oil change or anything never checked my Brakes or anything just sold me a car but whatever I have to do get me a lawyer or whatever I have to do they will not charge me for all this crap when they were suppose to check before they sold it to me so I will love to speak to Mr Patrick Morgan wether I did or didn't know it's there job to service the car before saleing it to me unless it said sold as is and that was not so

Great Deal. Really nice people

by jbug8675309 on 04/02/2016

Found a 2015 fusion Hybrid online and the price was lowest by far compared to the others I saw. I secured financing through my own bank at 3.85 percent but they were able to get me 2.96 so I opted to go with the Dealerships financing. All and all a great experience. I definitely would return to purchase there. Oh! and thanks to my salesperson Alex for the good service.

It was so easy

by Scastillodocmd on 01/08/2016

What a great experience. Went to the Internet and their price was below everyone else's. I called in and talked with a sales manager and explained it was kind of far for me and I didn't want to hang out all day. They got me a super low rate and gave me all my info ON THE PHONE and let me know what everything else was going to be. I came in to the store and was out within an hour. How cool is that! Sooooo easy! Thank you. I will be back . Samantha

Poor customer service from the very top of the chain of command

by dr_detroit on 10/25/2009

I was searching for a specific used european exotic sports car through an car search and found the car at this dealership (amongst many others and many individual sellers). I sent the dealership a message inquiring of the car through the online search service and I get a reply back from Mr. Pat Milligan himself, the PRESIDENT of the dealership. Now mind you, I didn't know who would field the online request as the search service does not say, but the dealer sets that up on their end, so apparently Mr. Milligan had set it up to go to his personal email. "Well," I'm thinking, "now this is service! The president of the dealership is willing to field the inquiry of a prospective buyer from out of state." The next email exchange couldn't have proved me more incorrect. After reading Mr. Milligan's initial reply and feeling satisfied with his responses to my questions, I reply back that I am out of state and 5-6 hours drive from the dealership, can I call to talk numbers and specifics of the deal with someone before taking time out of a busy schedule at my practice to drive all the way to see the car... The President of the dealership's abrupt reply (remember, this is NOT an inexpensive used car and this current economy, especially for dealerships, is very poor) simply: "i am out of town for the winter...if you are interested you need to come and see the vehicle...thanks" My further replies to his email went unanswered. Needless to say, I didn't wait more than a day to go with a different seller. If this was the customer service I got from the President, I couldn't imagine what dealing with "the closer" would be like. Maybe I'm off base, but when you come to the dealership with a pile of money, I expect a little bit of courtship out of the whole thing, maybe some level of accommodation. If the dealer isn't there to work with the customer, they are only a middle-man between the buyer and the car he/she wants waiting to add on fees to get a piece of the pie. I had much better luck with an individual seller. Good Luck Metro Ford!
