unpleasantly surprised

The mileage they report on their ads may not be true. The dealer has a practice to let their employee use the cars on sale as personal vehicle. On this website (Edmunds.com), I found the car I was looking for (a used 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid, burgundy, with over 29,000 miles on it). After I verified availability of the car over the phone, I drove an hour with my family to Napleton Lincoln Blue Island to see the car. To our surprise, the car had over 2500 miles more than reported on their ad and over 2000 miles more than on the Car Fax report. It actually had 32,000 on it rather than the 29,000 miles stated on the ad. The car also has a strong smoking smell mixed with perfume smell. The reason? The car had been used as a personal vehicle by the sales manager for the 4 months or so since the dealer obtained the car. The "manager" took his personal items out of the car right before our test drive. The sales representative who talked to us was fine and professional.

Wonderful buying experience

My wife and I came in to have our Lincoln service. It was just routine. My wife and I walked in to the showroom it took me back to when I was a kid, buying a car with my dad. Then the smell hit me. Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. WOW. We drove a new Lincoln and fell in love all over again. Our old Lincoln was well kept and we really did not need to trade, but the new one has lots more toys and my wife and I decided to purchase a new one. The whole experience was truly different than what you would come to expect from a typical car dealer. This was not a typical car deal. They were upfront about everything. Thank you Fox Lincoln.
